New thread to discuss the developments from the news for Madeleine Mccann

I know the other thread got a bit out of hand but lets keep this one nice if possible.

I think it is good to discuss all that is happening in the news & also good to see peoples views on what is happening in the news.

The lastest i can see so far is that Madeleins parents want to keep focused on the finding of there daughter & want to keep this in the news they don't want things to turn on the police investigation & how it is being handled.

Mr & Mrs Mccann have also decided they want an E poster which they are going to be sending out through email to spread the news so that everyone, everywhere can look out for beautiful Madeleine.

wasn't anything on BBC news at all. Possibly a news blackout? I hope and pray they have made a breakthrough and it's good news at last.

Sky saying it MAY be a big development - parents are at the local police station - may just be a recap on statements, or just geting an update on developemnts - or possibly identification - no-one knows yet

3 main suspects are focus of investigation - petrol station id is focus, also the man in another town who got chased away - one of the male suspecst seems to be same man

and unconfirmed - a town near Seville has been sealed off for some investigation

too many things going on - sounds like the investigation continues.

apparently police have shown stills of the film of girl at petrol station with a blonde 'foreign' women and two men to a British tourist who had to chase a man off from photographing his daughter. He has confirmed it is the same man.

news just said parents taken to the police station to go over their statements again,that seems to be it for now.

yes .they said because its now a week they just want to reiterate statements

in a sense thats why the bbc saying nothing is better, because sky saying parents being taken to police station leads people to watch more sky in the hope that there's something positive, when in actual fact there's nothing to report.

It's horribly reminiscent of the numerous suspects and sightings of holly and jessica, but I guess that's how an investigation works - only 1 lead can be the right one out of god knows how many things they have to follow up.

After taking the parents the polixce went back to the resort and took another 'foreign looking' couple. Family? Friends? Surely not suspects in the resort?

I think if it was just to go over statements that could be done in the apartment.

Will it work?

on sky news they said that it's believed they are purely at the police station going over their statements, and that two other couples are there as well - they're believed to be couples who were dining with the mccanns at the time. They said going over statements again is perfectly normal practice and happens here in the UK as well.
