I am so worried about this little girl, but can't always find out on the tv, so I thought I would start this, as the thread is talking about stuff, I just want the latest updates please. If this offends anyone I am sorry, but I want to know the updates on this case.

I thought the portugese police were only doing the conferences due to pressure from british media ? The news blackout is so frustrating but thats how they work i suppose - just difficult as we arent used to the police working that way!

I think if they'd found her alive they would be saying so a lot sooner. Being 4 hours away it makes me think it's bad news

TBH so far the conferences have been very general updates as we all know there hasn't been any news. Ihave just watched itn news and there was no mention of it.

Just hoping that as they have taken the parents away and announced a conference that there must be some news - please let it be positive! would imagine all news programmes/channels will run the conference footage?

UCM - breaking news was on sky news - they had filmed the parents being taken away in the previous few mins so it might not be on itn straight away?

Portimao is 20 miles away, where the police headquarters is, where the press confrences have been hapenning. The sighting of the man was in Sagres, that's 30-50 miles west, the western tip of the Algarve

After taking the parents the polixce went back to the resort and took another 'foreign looking' couple. Family? Friends? Surely not suspects in the resort?

Apparently something is happening following the petrol station incident - a town in Spain has been surrounded and the McCanns have been driven away at speed.
