I wasn't expecting that! Thought she was going to be the next Princess. Maybe the pressure was too much, they are very young.

OP posts:

She could sell her story now for millions - I would after what he allegedly did on Monday night.

ipanemagirl · 15/04/2007 21:07

expat - I very much agree - he went from Dashing Handsome and like his mother - to Turgid Tweed and looking like Pater. Shame. What a little less thatch can do for a man....

drN - not chewing gum! quelle horreur! I'm surprised they didn't cut off her head!! Lawks amercy!

Papers all saying she won't talk. But 5 million pounds????? That's a lot of money.......

LieselVentouse · 15/04/2007 21:08

Hes a bit Tim-nice-but-dim

DrNortherner · 15/04/2007 21:26

He looks about 40.

Dh reckons as he is a prince he will always shag about and have a woman on th side because that's what princes do and no woman should question it

kimi · 15/04/2007 21:46

Well I think she is better out of it tbh, if she married in to that bunch of muppets she would have had a sad life and been driven to madness expected to provide a couple of kids, put up with all the affairs and back stabbing, been driven in to the arms of any man who gave her a flicker of attention and could end up dead in a tunnel somewhere............ sounds like something I read before that...

LieselVentouse · 15/04/2007 21:58

[shok] Kimi what are you implying

kimi · 15/04/2007 22:14

Put it this way I would rather lick my own arse then marry in to a family like that!

TwoIfBySea · 15/04/2007 22:20

And yet still the world turns.

kimi, is that your party piece?

BigHotMama · 15/04/2007 22:22

Thank god! I'm sick of hearing about them tbh.

expatinscotland · 15/04/2007 22:23

I'd go to the Queen and tell her, 'We can do this nice or we can do this ugly. Now property is really expensive here in the UK, and I like many could do with some aid. You can feel free to provide me with some assistance. Or I can go to the press and squawk about your boy there.'

Because let's face it, all anyone would want to read about it what he's like in the sack.

expatinscotland · 15/04/2007 22:23

I hear ya, kimi!

I'd have my drawers in a wad if one of mine took up with any of those Lord and Lady types.

No siree bob! Mama would not be happy.

DrNortherner · 16/04/2007 11:35

Price Will in the sack! Ugh!

He'd be all rugger and ra ra ra.

Fimbo · 16/04/2007 11:44

Do her parents not own "Party pieces"?

TinyGang · 16/04/2007 12:16

Do you know..I've been thinking about this. I hope she does sell her story.

All that guff about her not being good enough and sniggering about her family...what was it his lovely friends kept saying? 'Doors to manuel' referring to her mother. What a ghastly crowd they are.

It's ok to have a girlfriend from below stairs, but oh no, not wife material. So why mess about with her in the first place? Oh yes, because he was playing being a 'normal' bloke at uni at the time.

They like hanging about with common people in nightclubs for fun when it suits and then laugh at them. Reminds me of that Pulp song.

DrNortherner · 16/04/2007 12:20

Kate's hardly common though is she?

I'd love to see him with a Vicky Pollard type

LieselVentouse · 16/04/2007 12:25

Her folks own an internet toy shop.

LieselVentouse · 16/04/2007 12:27

I dont get that "Doors to Manuel"??????

DrNortherner · 16/04/2007 12:29

I swa pics of her with her mum and dad and the royals at sandhurst. They had their sunday best on. They looked good I thought.

Royal family are rathe odd. Don't think he will find anyone who will settle into that way of life tbh.

Harry is better lookning imo.

Lilymaid · 16/04/2007 12:31

Her mother was an air hostess "Doors to manual" . She is well out of being part of that family.

IdrisTheDragon · 16/04/2007 12:32

Was her mother a flight attendant? I presume that is what "doors to manual" would refer to.

Nightynight · 16/04/2007 12:35

lol kimi
couldnt agree more.

yes, the snobbish aspect of it gets to me too - all those courtiers quick to rally round and slag off the ex girlfriend.

notquitemarried · 16/04/2007 12:45

On a different note, I remember reading something in a magazine a while ago (OK or Hello or something) about how she wanted to marry him before she'd met him, had a poster of him on her bedroom wall, and her friends all used to call her Princess (before she'd actually met him) or something... quite bizarre

TwoIfBySea · 16/04/2007 13:33

Did anyone see that programme on a few years ago about precocious children and their equally yah-yah parents? There was a 12-year-old girl in it with an ambitious mother, they appeared in some how-te-to book on posh folks and she was marked down as one of the possible wives for Prince William. I laughed at it then but really...

run boy run, they'll all be after you now.

Like prize meat in a butchers shop and there is a shortage. God help him and all who sail in him. Har.

wannaBeWhateverIWannaBe · 16/04/2007 13:47

but all this talk of her parents being too common is just media talk though isn't it? There are apparently three different versions of why/how they split in the tabloids today, so who knows really? more to the point who cares?

Much as I wouldn't want a child of mine marrying into that, I do actually feel quite sorry for william/harry. They are who they are because of who their family is. They've both been born into a family where they're public property whether they wanted that or not. It's not like being the child of a celebrity where you can disappear out of the spotlight when you're older if you don't want that kind of lifestyle, William is future king and is therefore expected to behave as such. And whatever they do they can't win. If William chooses a girl from a certain part of society it is said that it's because he's a royal and that he wouldn't ever want to be with a "normal" girl, if Harry goes to a nightclub and gets smashed it's said that his behavior is not befitting of someone in the royal family and that he should be setting a better example. Imagine being born into a family like that, it would be horrible.

chocolattegirl · 16/04/2007 14:35

Must admit that I lapped up all the 'news' about this then laughed at myself for falling into the media trap.

She's well off without him - if he loved her, he'd have married her - end of.
