My understanding from the medical and legal people on here is that it's not actually legal to set up an ITU anywhere other than a hospital - is that correct? And if it is, why has nobody said so in the court?

cjt110 · 26/07/2017 14:11

HJF doesn't miss a trick Where is the Doctor's CV?

YY Santas

LapinR0se · 26/07/2017 14:11

No no go ahead @cjt!! I didn't see you posting either Smile

Ceto · 26/07/2017 14:11

I wonder how they would get over the licensing difficulty

MrsSthe3rd · 26/07/2017 14:12

Oh my word.........they're getting someone to give evidence

DorotheaBeale · 26/07/2017 14:12

Judge: where is the doctor’s CV?

Straight to the point.

cjt110 · 26/07/2017 14:12

I'll post then Lapin x

Fancythat69 · 26/07/2017 14:13

Surely they need more than 1 doctor ?

Gobbolinothewitchscat · 26/07/2017 14:13

My God this is insanity. No CV produced.

Doc on his way to the court? Obviously nobody has even met him yet. DH off today and noting that if he is retired, has he still got his registration?

Butterymuffin · 26/07/2017 14:13

If Gosh nurses have indeed volunteered to nurse Charlie at home, after all this, that's very generous of them.

teainbed · 26/07/2017 14:13

I still don't think he'll agree to it. I can't believe anyone is volunteering to cover this for the time duration they're asking for. Enough doctors and nurses to cover 24 hours x how many days?

cjt110 · 26/07/2017 14:13

Armstrong: we believe we can meet the nursing requirements in a home setting. Charlie was able to travel to the hospital roof recently.

Judge Justice Francis is demanding to have a CV but barrister Grant Armstrong says they don't have one currently.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 26/07/2017 14:14

Another "expert"?

Quelle surprise Hmm

TinselTwins · 26/07/2017 14:14

I've been thinking of the parallels with the LadyDi mourners

I think there needs to be a double prong to whip up this sort of frenzy

  1. a hero/heroine
  2. An enemy or enemies

Which is why C&C raised more money than other families who need money for their kids care - they didn't just offer a brave little hero, but also multiple ogres

Its very disney in its mentality

leghoul · 26/07/2017 14:14

What is a former intensive care surgeon? Do they mean a currently licensed revalidated consultant paediatric intensivist? Or even a former one?

Ceto · 26/07/2017 14:14

How does one doctor provide 24 hours a day care?

smilingmind · 26/07/2017 14:14

Where is the Doctor's CV ?

More to the point where is the doctor? Basingstoke isn't very far.

Armstrong: this would be for transfer to a hospice, not a family home.

^I think this says the outcome HJF is going to reach

Parents' barrister says he will be transported to a hospice and Connie would like a week with Charlie as she's missed time with proceedings

MrsSthe3rd · 26/07/2017 14:15

Armstrong has said that this is for a hospice transfer?!

WinterWinds001 · 26/07/2017 14:15

Actually quite sad to see Connie in the court today.
I have a feeling, in time, she will come to regret spending long periods of time away from charlie in his last days.

Hoping for a resolution today, one that is best for Charlie.

blueskyinmarch · 26/07/2017 14:15

Why on earth have they not got the doctors CV in front of them? Surely. He could be anyone found on the internet? They would need to check his credentials and qualifications etc.

cjt110 · 26/07/2017 14:15

Armstrong seems to be suggesting Charlie would live in a hospice for a week or so. But difficult to be sure as we can’t see court papers yet

Have C&C conceded to have Charlie cared for in a hospice instead?
