Ok guys, we have been very lucky to discuss this, please lets not give anyone anything to complain about, Mhq have been more than accomodating.

OP posts:
TheFairyCaravan · 25/07/2017 21:02

CY is commenting on a news article over on FB atm.

I'm getting quite concerned about her, tbh.

friendlysnakehere · 25/07/2017 21:03

Their massive advertising revenue is dependent on us, having been here since 2003, I am getting in reading fed up of them policing everything and pandering to the organised trouble makers.

straighttalker · 25/07/2017 21:03

I'm really pissed with Mumsnet, actually.

C&C have put this case in full glaring view of the media and in doing so they have put all of us through something (albeit much less) traumatic.

It's impossible to discuss this case without touching on the parents.

MontyPythonsFlyingFuck · 25/07/2017 21:04

It's a shame that the previous thread got pulled. I agree with PPs that there are some wonderful posts on there, and also that the following of the court hearing tweets was a record worth preserving.

Several PPs have said that they fear for Charlie's parents' mental health, and I fear they are right. They seem to be utterly unreachable by reason or fact, poor things.

muckypup73 · 25/07/2017 21:04

Ta1kinPeece, we do not wantanother thread deleting, we done really well to discuss 17 threads worth, unfortunately we need to watch what we say as not to offend the people that keep coming to to argue,no other reason but argue, so lets keep it civil, for Charlies sake.

OP posts:
officeshoes · 25/07/2017 21:04

Who should be ashamed Ta1kin I went out and missed the last few pages, presume it got heated.

MidnightAura · 25/07/2017 21:05

I really hope tomorrow sets an end for Charlie's suffering.

Namebot · 25/07/2017 21:05

I have lurked on the threads and think they have been very measured and responsible in general. This entire situation is horrific and distressing but I've learned so much from reading this discussion.

friendlysnakehere · 25/07/2017 21:06

I am torn between not letting the thread continue (which will pander to the pro lifers) but stop the hits that bring people to mumsnet and posting to fit in with a very narrow view prescribed by them.

I think I am going to vote with my feet and try somewhere else.

WeDoNotSow · 25/07/2017 21:06

Fucking hell, it's all kicked off here then, ain't it.
TBH, I think the NHS reclaiming was what kicked it all off, I have only seen that on here though, and not in the papers.
Hopefully judge can clarify and get some closure on the situation tomorrow.

officeshoes · 25/07/2017 21:06

I don't understand why the offending posts can't just be deleted rather than the whole thread though? There is so much good information on them and people need somewhere to talk if they are affected by the issues esp if they can't in RL.

Writerwannabe83 · 25/07/2017 21:06

I hope overnight that C&C can take on board that going to a hospice is their only option if they're adamant they don't want Charlie to die at GOSH and then hopefully going back to Court can be avoided.

I just hope that they are respectful of the other children and families who are residing in the Hospice they will be attending.

Even the fact that we are debating where THEY want him to die demonstrates that C is no longer central to this debate.

NellieBuff · 25/07/2017 21:07

We've had a right bun fight or even a bum fight

CY is commenting on a news article over on FB atm.

What article?

Saucery · 25/07/2017 21:08

Nominating favoured posters to start threads exactly the same as deleted ones? What a crackpot load of bollocks.

Sostenueto · 25/07/2017 21:08

???? I'm gonna have to read previous thread to understand what went on.

Ta1kinPeece · 25/07/2017 21:08

It is sad that a couple of button pushers caused the removal of the really interesting sections about palliative care transfers and the live court reporting

but hopefully Charlie will get the right answer this week.

I'm out of here for a while.

sodablackcurrant · 25/07/2017 21:09

I am a bit worried about a CA invasion tbh.

Could that happen and then they report posts ad infinitum.

I really hope not, these threads have been the most amazingly knowledgeable, measured and compassionate that I have seen anywhere on any subject TBH.

The traffic generated by these threads will keep their sponsors and advertisers happy surely.

Just delete the dodgy posts, not punish everyone.

Anyway, onwards and upwards.

oakleaffy · 25/07/2017 21:09

So..Is this the new thread? marking.

BossyBitch · 25/07/2017 21:09

Because some people have said they respectfully disagree with the parents' choice to sue GOSH.

I hope that wasn't me. Because if it was that was not what I meant. At all.

officeshoes · 25/07/2017 21:09

It's been deleted Sostenueto

Dustbunny1900 · 25/07/2017 21:09

I understand and respect the rules here..which is why I'm wondering if there's anywhere else to really discuss this case with more freedom but without all the misinformation?

MirandaWest · 25/07/2017 21:09

I have found the discussion here thought provoking. I hope it can continue
