Ok guys, we have been very lucky to discuss this, please lets not give anyone anything to complain about, Mhq have been more than accomodating.

I don't see how one Dr can do it anyway. He can't work24/7 for a week!

cjt110 · 26/07/2017 14:28

I'll do it now Dorothea

MillieMoodle · 26/07/2017 14:28

I am still catching up with the thread from this morning but Charlie's parents barrister has just said that GOSH nurses have volunteered to care for Charlie at home (although I'm not sure if they're meaning actually at home or in a hospice). But what wonderful people they are. After all that has gone before, to volunteer to do something like that shows true dedication and compassion.

officeshoes · 26/07/2017 14:28

Surely this could take it off into all sorts of new directions now if they have a doctor expected to arrive shortly?

CotswoldStrife · 26/07/2017 14:28

I think the judge will be forced into setting a date. The situation is becoming intolerable. How could they get long-term care in a hospice, they are not able to do that - it's been explained. Why move Charlie at all, it will be horrendously stressful (and probably painful) for him?

PenguindreamsofDraco · 26/07/2017 14:28

Gobbolino, I'm not sure anyone would necessarily put Peter Smith J. forward as an example of judging best practice Grin

Ceto · 26/07/2017 14:29

Surely even if they get a cv it will need to be checked out, which could take weeks

I doubt it - it's a few phone calls. The GOSH doctors may even know him.

officeshoes · 26/07/2017 14:29

New thread, who would have ever thought it..

LovelyBath77 · 26/07/2017 14:29

I see. And there are short time scales involved. Would have thought would have at least had the CV though, takes no time to email and shows they don't really know about this person. Why take on such a high profile case for free then?

RitaMills · 26/07/2017 14:29

Thanks office a new expert? This is beyond farcical now. Poor little baby, I can't understand why anyone would take the risk and move him, potentially cause him pain and compromise his comfort, this can't be what is best for him. Sad

A glance at a CV can tell you a lot about experience

This case is a perfect illustration of how not to conduct end of life care.

CGF hasn't mentioned the socialised healthcare comments. Quelle surprise.

officeshoes · 26/07/2017 14:30

Have they definitely agreed to hospice?

That's good Butterymuffin, it really does have to end today.

MontyPythonsFlyingFuck · 26/07/2017 14:30

The question about the apology to KGQC presumably relates to this tweet from V McA at the end of yesterday's hearing:

Parents barrister Armstrong goes a over to GOSH'a Gollop after Jude leaves saying "just wrong" to have said the time period in open court
