Two year old murdered

me too - its so sad. looking at her picture made it even worse.she looked so cute and innocent. i hope they catch the pig that did that to her. can't help wondering what the mother was up to when all this was happening.

I think of my little 3-year-old girl. She's so innocent and vulnerable.

my mum told me about this today and when i read it on bbc site I cried, poor little thing and my heart goes out to the family. I read an article on bbc site i think a day or so ago how children were not allowed to have a proper childhood due to parents being over protective as they were worried about child murderers, it said there were around 900 potential offenders but only a small percentage would go on to commit, well I will always be protective over my child.

i know vvv. I think of ds1 who is the same age, he's so trusting, and to think of somebody abusing that makes mt blood run cold

it doens't bear thining about does it. How anyone can hurt a child is beyond me.I will never understand what drives people to do such terrible things. i feel sick just thinking about it.

I heard about it this morning, picked my LO one up and hugged her tight. It is so so so awful, I cannot imagine what her family are going through. My heart goes out to them, especially her mother.

I just do not know what to say, apart from that it made my stomach flip. How can some-one behave this way?

apparently the family were already known to social services since 2005.

I heard it on news this morning and have been crying all day about it. Maybe it hits more so because I have a 2 year old dd but it's really affected me.

Why are these people allowed to live? Bring back hanging in this age of DNA.

They say most cases of murder are carried out by someone known to the victim in the same way that sexual abuse is carried out by family... So terribly sad and sick.

2005 was one incident involving a burn according to the YEP. Under those terms I think many innocent families are "known to SS"

I was thinking about capital punishment the other day and I thought surely there must be some circumstances in which it would be an appropriate punishment. I just think if anyone hurt my ds and got out of prison after 18 months on "good behaviour", it would drive me seriously mad...
