His integrity and decency and courage to stand up for his beliefs and principles. The hope that he will work for the people and not the elites and the bankers and the lobbyists and that no bigwig can tell him what to do, unlike the usual puppets.

Lifelong (mostly) Labour voter here - I never saw what was special about him either Becker - I voted against him for leadership because I never saw him as a leader. I also think it's a bit dismissive to say that no-one else in the Labour party has any principles!

People seem to want a knight in shining armour with pure motives who will save the country - a lot of people seem to think that's him, but I don't, unfortunately. His principles might be sound, but he's incredibly divisive (and that's not some kind of press bias, that's his direct relationship with his party) and has made the Labour party unelectable at present.

If he's still there for the general election I'll probably be voting Green. I'm sure there are others who will be voting for the Tories.

He is like Trump and Farage, people are attracted to them because they are rebels offering everything to everybody. The truth is irrelevant, ignorance is an advantage. Anyone who feels hard done by, lives in a fantasy, wants everything free without working for it, wants to blame someone rather than accept any responsibility and wants a freebie paid for by anyone else. Corbyn can pull wine out of water ... until of course he has to, he can't and he melts away like the wicked witch of the west covered in water. History repeats itself, twas always thus.

Why do people kept saying he is unelectable? This will be the first time I vote labour because of him.

Because his economic policy/plan is well...stupid, as are many of his "bright, New anti- establishment cool" ideas

He has a fantastic pr team behind him it seemed shambolic but now look what they have spun around him he is a man of principle, man of integrity, is taking on the establishment, there is a conspiracy against him

The man of principle myth will be totally torn apart coming up to the next general election (sadly I believe he will be labour leader) a man who has shared platforms with terrorists that want Israel destroyed, a man who attended and spoke at events held to commemorate IRA terrorists, he along with his friend Ken invited Gerry Adams weeks after the IRA Brighton Bombing (a bombing was aimed to kill most senior members of our government), a
man that accepts payment from Iranian State television (a government that tortures gay men, journalists and keeps women oppressed) much of this is now being claimed was part of him trying to engage all sides in peace talks yet where are his meetings with those on the other side

I'm up in sunny Scotland, and we're not friends with the Labour Party at the moment, and I'm staunch SNP anyway.
I think people everywhere are fed up of identikit politicians, and want something different, and hope that if they get a different kind of politician, they'll get a different kind of society.

I think that's the main reason people are voting for Mr Trump.

I don't know why people are so surprised by Corbyn's popularity. He's to the left of the party, many people have political views to the left of the party. Regardless of whether you agree with him, that's not a strange concept surely?

IT is becoming a bit if the cult of personality isn't it? I like some aspects of Jeremy Corbyn, I think he would do a good job in certain ministerial jobs because he has a lot of passion for certain issues, I could see him doing environment very well for example.

But I think for me the Labour Party should be about no one person to the extent it becomes all eclipsing. It became a bit like that with Blair. Yes I think a leader should stand out but not so that he has a cult following. I find some of what us going on odd and off putting.

I find it all a bit odd. I'm very left wing and from a family of lifelong Labour supporters. I was quite pleased when JC was elected leader initially but as it turns out, he's not a leader. He's got lots of lovely ideas and principles but no plans. He hasn't even told us what Labour think of Brexit. He has no plans about anything.

And I'm always suspicious about those old-school Labour men and their views on women, who they seem to ignore most of the time.

My dad, who is a devoted Labour supporter spends most of his time at the moment shouting about Jeremy Corbyn.

I've never voted Tory in my life but I'm not voting Labour while JC is in charge. He is not competent to run a political party with more than half a dozen members.

Forget government for a moment, and think about how you would like your workplace to be run. Great to have a manager with charisma and lots of fresh ideas, but can she/he follow through? Are they any good at building a team to put those ideas into practice? Are they good at resolving conflicts? Do they have a track record of listening to the team and amending plans to take into account valid concerns from other members of staff? What about the dull but essential hard graft of making detailed plans for how to get things done, allocating work fairly, monitoring progress? Do they have favourites who get promoted because they suck up to the boss, or do they recruit and promote entirely on merit?

Looked at in those terms, JC falls short in every area. His track record in Parliament is that he has been a Labour MP for decades and has spent almost all of that time defying the Party whip over and over again. He votes according to his conscience and not according to Labour Party policy. Even as the Leader of the Opposition, he voted on Trident as he wanted to, not in accordance with Labour Party policy as agreed at the conference. This means that the Labour Party manifesto at the next election will be utterly meaningless because if he doesn't agree with it he won't implement it.

He has proved over and over again in the last year that he doesn't have the leadership ability to keep the parliamentary party together and do what they're there to do, ie provide an effective opposition to the Tories. The disunity is partly because most of the MPs don't agree with his policies but it's also because he has no experience at all of working with a diverse team and pulling them together. He and his inner circle are rubbish at really quite basic stuff like telling people which jobs they are doing and planning when to make major policy announcements so they don't clash with another big news story.

I feel utterly betrayed by the Labour Party I voted for. They had a manifesto for if they got in. I expected in opposition for them to continue to stand for what they said they did back then, not change the playbook entirely.

I like and respect my labour mp but I won't vote for her again under JC. She will probably be deselected anyway for leaving the shadow cabinet. I live in a safe labour area but don't know anyone willing to vote for a party run by JC.

I am actually hoping for labour annihilation at the next election as I think that's the only way the party can get a reality check, stop this path that it's on and rebuild or some other left leaning party take over.

I don't relish the prospect of a huge Tory majority. Just look how much damage they've done without one! But labour are not acting in opposition. I think their actions around the referendum campaign, JC's in particular were a betrayal of what they said they stood for, absolutely disgusting, I don't trust them any more. Are his friendships and associations really any worse than the current government? I heard nary a word from them after the Saudi Arabian government beheaded over 40 people in one day. Nor is he genuflecting to China like Giddy and Spoonface.
