Every now and then I remember exactly why I dislike Tony Blair so much

Like now, when he can't bring himself to comment on Saddam Hussein's execution.

Even Dubya has commented on it, FGS. What is the matter with that pusillanimous creep, our PM? Is he really so afraid of offending someone by saying the wrong thing? Why can't he comment?

Yuk yuk yuk yuk yuk, he's horrid.

There, feel a bit better now I've got that off my chest.

Yes. I am pouting moodily in Tony's direction even as we speak.

A. Campbell xx (Or even C. Blair altho not sure she is equipped to pout as such.. )

yellowrose · 08/01/2007 22:19

Don't ever get Cherie to get too close and POUT at you ! You might fall in !

TwoIfBySea · 08/01/2007 22:24

If Bush is a puppet what does that make Bliar who does whatever Bush tells him?

He took so long to say anything about the execution because Bush was writing it down and it takes George a looonnnggg time to write things down.

Joined up writing an' all.

Caligula · 08/01/2007 22:29

I wouldn't use the adjective dignified to describe his silence.

OP posts:
ShinyHappyPeopleHoldingHands · 08/01/2007 22:31

I would.

suzycreamcheese · 08/01/2007 22:33

shinyhappy you are alastair!
your spin, er post of 22.14

saddam hussein was evil and killed his own people. we supplied him the weapons and turned blind eye so he could continue to do this, as it suited us.
tony blair, george bush; the OFFICIAL death toll in Iraq is 650,000 - what does that make them? evil mass murderers too?

try some joined up thinking ...

am going back to plumbers and horses, this makes by blood boil too soon before bed..

ShinyHappyPeopleHoldingHands · 08/01/2007 22:37

I knew there was a reason for feeling so dizzy, and there was me thinking it was just because I'm so rushed I am turning in ever decreasing circles threatening to disappear up my own bottom!

What am I doing on this biased politcal thread... ?I am far too knackered not to mention 'too Labour'.. I will bid you goodnight!

Caligula · 08/01/2007 22:40

Hmm, the idea that Saddam had it coming does not rest easily with being anti the death penalty. Either TB believes in it or not. Robert Fisk as so often, summed it up perfectly for me.

OP posts:
yellowrose · 08/01/2007 22:42

How can any one ever describe themselves as "too Labour"

Caligula · 08/01/2007 22:43

I'd hardly describe TB as too labour.

OP posts:
yellowrose · 08/01/2007 22:45

More like "Too Tone" as in "Two Faced"

suzycreamcheese · 08/01/2007 22:47

caligula..cant beleive it, ICH, its dp's home page and fisky, his books give me nightmares but am so glad he's there doing his stuff..

i didnt quite understand anything of 'last post' of shinyhappy..have they disappeared up a vortex?

night night all, have my Freedom (pre-school) form to do x

yellowrose · 08/01/2007 22:57

Suzy, did you say Black Hole ?

Good luck with gaining freedom form

ShinyHappyPeopleHoldingHands · 08/01/2007 23:08

I'm here... DH been using pc and I'm back to shut down. What didn't you understand Suzy? Sorry if you thought I was talking shite! I was responding to your 'spin' mention!

"Too labour" as in "too labour for this thread" Yellowrose

yellowrose · 09/01/2007 09:04

Yeh, I know what you meant Shiny, I am sure you will find an "I love Tony" thread here somewhere on MN though

Not trying to kick you out just haven't heard anything from you to convince us New Labour or Tony are doing anything decent. A few like-minded have tried, but failed

yellowrose · 09/01/2007 13:28

This is excellent re. Campbell, cynical, but very funny !

I don't know whether I should worry about my own safety posting this stuff

this

yellowrose · 09/01/2007 13:33

Here is my favourite quote from the piece I have just linked to:

"Hypocrisy is a word used so often in connection with New Labour that it's pretty much lost its power. They go together like a horse and carriage".

Gosh, Suzy, someone's been reading our stuff about horses already

suzycreamcheese · 09/01/2007 16:08

yellowrose - cant get through on the link will try later..and i know i think they are watching they creep me out this newlabour crew..

OK, if i dont see a post from you for a day or two i will begin to pack my emergency rations, and we will be heading off to become venzeluan asylum seekers....

ShinyHappyPeopleHoldingHands · 09/01/2007 16:21

Mwahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

yellowrose · 09/01/2007 20:52

Gosh, Suzy, I have just tried to click on the link, indeed it doesn't work ! Quick, let's get out of here, but no not Venezuela -too many former Nazi's there

ps - I will try and copy and paste after I have put DS in bed, it worked earlier this afternoon !

yellowrose · 09/01/2007 21:57

Hi Suzy, their website must be down. I can't get into it at all.

Here is the web address: www.thefridayproject.co.uk

I hadn't heard of it until today, it's a brilliant website.

I have now gone and got myself a free subscription to their emails, although it may put me at further risk of New Labour rottweilers

suzycreamcheese · 09/01/2007 22:19

hey yellowrose, i've tried a few times and think the site is definately down; do you think your link has sent it into a frenzy!
will give it a bash after playgroup tomorrow!

am actually quite serious about venezeula, and love PIL faces when i mention seeking asylum in Chavez country, yep, plenty of nazis but hey they seem to be everywhere else too!

yellowrose · 09/01/2007 22:31

Oh, I see, you mean because of Chavez ? Sorry, brain a bit slow tonight !

I love Chavez, he is so utterly mad, he was dancing on a Jon Snow interview once ! Brilliant guy !

suzycreamcheese · 09/01/2007 23:29

yellowrose, am so glad we hijacked the end of this thread for our personal chit chat and stuff...
oh, had very stressful day today i was stuck for 2 hours in this warm cafe, being served fine coffee and pastry, er, toddlerless, choice of papers, situated 5 mins from ds & his godsend of a preschool (& actually got talking to militant greenham common grandmother - her phone would go dead when they moved the missiles!) as i sat waiting on tenterhooks for the call saying 'meltdown moment get yer ass back here mother'..but it didn't happen, he settled

before you get too i'll be using time for much needed dental check up next week!

nighty night x

yellowrose · 10/01/2007 07:49

Morning Suzy, my insomina has hit bad which is why I have been up since flipping 5 am (DS and I usually sleep to 8:30 - 9:00 am )
and now on MN at 7:30 am

Have a try at that website again today, it might be back up (hopefully not shut down by you know who !)

Any way, if you don't hear from me for a few days, it's not because I have been arrested, but because we are packing and moving house on Friday.

May be we should start another Tony hate corner somewhere and get off Caligula's ?

It's always great speaking to a militant grandmother, isn't it ?

The youth of today aren't very militant, which is a real shame
