I have watched my 6 year old 'pilot' a real a/c simularor....a real one that they train pilots in, into a building.

If he can 'do it' (and before anyone posts, not we are not training him) with no training, I guess th hijackers, with their traing could. Flighing into something doesn't take much skill. Dh often says, flying a plane is easy, landing it is the hard thing

But that landing looks perfect! hardly a scratch roundabout?

They were trained. It is a big building!

Ds 'hit' the local cathedral. He is six and has never flown a thing.

Or we can believe that hundreds of people are involved in a vast conpiracy.

But your theory that it was set up at a time when 'only' the cleaners would be there is not true,is it, since the first plane hit at 8.46 and the second at 9.03....peak office time I would have said, wouldn't you?

Or how would you argue that away?

My understanding is that office hours in the states are quite like ours. In fact, if anything, people tend to start work even earlier.

So how does the conspiracy theory explain this one?

Completely agree with mb- in fact many people working there would have been there for some time by then. My ex worked in the WTC and he and all his colleagues (bankers) started at about 7.30, because they were dealing in the currency markets and started early to get the maxmum overlap with London. They were far from unusual within the WTC, either. I don't see why the buildings collapsing seems so surprising either- it all makes a lot of sense, I think.

He has spent hours and hours reading about it and studying the clips. He bought books about it and all sorts (I might show him this thread)
He thinks the U.s Government were actually alerted of the attack days before it happened and then "Aided" to the onsueing destruction. It was all to help "justify" going to war....so he thinks...

Yes, sleel doesn't melt until 3000 degrees, but by 1100 degrees it will have lost 50% of its strength and will start to deforem. Once it starts to defore, the stresses are spread differently, and it will start to colapase faster.

Why no wing span sized hole in the pentagon, because the wings sheared off.

Why no body parts.....oh sorry that was a downright misrepresentation of the truth, there were body parts.

Why was he WTC knocked down, because it was damaged and at reisk of falling down.

Why were no jews killed....anither lie...they were.

It is all cobblers. And so hurtful to the victims' families for whom this is a constant raw hurt and not an academic 'game'.

OK, the passengers.

There was also a fifth plane suspected of having been hijacked that day, a Delta flight. It and another plane - allegedly identified by United as Flight 93 - both landed at Cleveland after the airport was completely evacuated, in a huge hurry, on foot.

The "United 93" plane was evacuated, of 200 people, into a NASA building at Cleveland, in a very short space of time - the Delta plane landed earlier and 60 passengers were evacuated into a FAA (?) building much later.

Total passengers on the 4 hijacked planes numbered about 200...

This is all from the film and I must watch that bit again. They replayed some communication from a stewardess on 93 quite calmly saying "so-and-so is dead, oh and this person is dead, oh and that person is dead" with no background noise at all.

They also quoted one of the cellphone callers who told his mother "this is firstname lastname" (ie he quoted his surname to his own mother) and said twice "you do believe me don't you, mom?"

Also apparently cellphone calls from a high-altitude plane (which flight 93 was for a while) wouldn't have connected so all those calls must have been faked.

The implication is that the 4 planes were emptied of passengers; 2 were flown as drones into WTC, the other 2 never crashed at all, and the passengers must have been executed by the US Govt - which is the bit you really just baulk at believing - but then if it's true they effectively executed all who died at WTC.

It does sound ludicrous but maybe not as ludicrous as Bush getting elected in the first place.

sobernow, US offices do start at 8am as a rule - maybe they were English talking heads, assuming a 9am start.

Well, yes, that bit is where the whole plot falls apart for me, mb.

Thats the point...bodies were not evident at first as the clear up operation was done very quickly...they did find body parts... rather alarmingly they are still finding bones in drains and the likes.
Dh is very alarmed at the lack of official investigation, It was all cleared up extremely quickly...too quickly to identify bodies and building parts etc in any great detail.

re the resheduling of people. These things simply happen.

Here is a real co-incidence. We drove from Wales to Cornwall on holiday when I was a child. We went with another family, the As. A second family , The Bs said they might meet us at our final destination.

We and the As set off on Friday and sayed in a farmhouse B and B that night, half way there. The Bs left Wales on the Saterday. We spent the orning shopping and set off to get to your destination.

We ended up in a huge traffic jam, 5 miles or longer. We were in front and the As behind us. We passed a side road and Dad didn't let the car into the lane. Mr A did.

The car that had been let in started to flash us. I turned round. Who do you think it was?

Just an aside - I have just been watching (recorded) on National Geographic 9/11 - Zero Hour. I had to keep taking deep breaths. A passenger called his wife to tell him what was happening and said some passengers were vomiting - imagine it! OMG, horrendous.

The first half has just finished with the plane heading for the Pentagon but I don't think I have the stomach to watch the rest. Not now anyway.

So the phone call goes, 'Hi there, Big Important person, look, it is very important that you don;t mention this to anyone, but you must not go to the twin towers on 9/11, because we are going to blow it up and pretend that hijackers did it. So don't go OK, oh and please, don't tell anyone' Really?

You know of one change. I'd say co-incdence. Just like us being followed by the B family in a huge queue of traffic.

My husband missed the bombing in London because he took a later train. things like this happen all the time. After the even people go 'Wow', must mean something. It doesn't have to mean anything. sometimes cruel and shitty things happen.

Like the tsunami, people were blaming that one on the Americans as well.
