But why would the Government particularly want to blow up WTC7? Why not stick to blowing up the buildings that the "planes" hit? The conspiracy continues to make no sense at all ... looking more and more like (gasp) random reality.

Seriously, was the Spanish building the same sort of construction as WTC7? WTC7 was also subject to rather a lot of shaking, from the collapses of the other buildings, which might well have been a factor ...

I was at home when 9/11 happened, I watched in shock and horror.

Have debated and questioned the event since that day. It is not just a clean cut as you would like it to be.

Lots of unbelievable parts anyway.

I know what I saw that day and the buliding crumbled inward. It appeared to implode as I and about a hundred other people crammed into the Brown Thomas Telly department on Grafton Street in Dublin and an watch in astonishment as it went down. It was horrific. Can only imagine what it was like for those actually in New York.

And I can only imagine the horror the run through Kateandthegirls veins when/if she reads this thread. Let's hope she misses it.

My children are forming their own conspiracy theory to get me off the computer

Not sure if its been discussed how different the construction of the WTC's were to all the other skyscraper fires. Except that they are designed to fall down in a heap.

The buildings are designed to withstand hurricanes and earthquakes - they sway rather than crumble.

Not all families who lost friends and loved ones on 9/11 accept the goverment version of what happened. That is lumping everyone grief and rationale into one basket.

Did you see the interview they did with the janitor??
He was in the basement! He heard what he thought was bomb blasts...two of them...after the plane had crashed. When he came out ino the lobby, glass was blown out of the windows, marble tiles were ejected off walls...the official report put this down to a fireball which had come down the lift shafts!!

70 floors up...a fire ball travels down lift shafts which are specifically designed to control fire..staggered every few levels so that fire cannot travel directly down them...and specifically desigened to restrict oxygen to prevent fuelling a blaze.
Yet apparently one fire ball managed to zig zag its way down 70 odd floors...fuel itself..and have the force to blow Marble slabs directly off walls

There was no charing or soot deposits either but it couldn't be investigated further..as it then shortly after the blasts..collapsed.
They can only go on footage shot..which obviously there wasn't much of as most people in the thick of it would of died...their footage with them

Surely the lobby damage could be down to the impact of the plane, rather than the explosions? Given that the top of the WTC no doubt swayed quite a bit?

And about the explosions ... look, have you ever sat around a campfire? Things crackle and pop (water in the logs heating up, expanding, and exploding). Are there bombs in your campfire? No.

Same thing happens in all fires, and the bigger the fire, the bigger the explosions. With molten aluminum and a wide range of substances around, more explosions are inevitable. Not to mention the large quantity of airplane fuel, as the planes were all at the start of long journeys, with relatively full tanks.

And the whole OBL thing....why hasn't he been tracked and killed...simply because if he was tracked and killed there would no longer be a "War on Terror"

It was documented that US officials...infact UN officials have known the where abouts of OBL...his hideouts in caves on mountain sides...yet for some reason they didn't seige

of course there are real grieving families...this is the tragedy. It is such an awful thing.

What happened to the 200 odd people that were documented getting off the safely landed plane and taken to a NASA base?

There are some very wierd inconsistencies in all this

ludaloo, I wondered that about the lift shafts, although there were express lifts from the ground floor to 2 "skylobbies" at around the 40th and 80th floors, with local lifts in between.

WTC1 was hit well above the 80th floor though so it's an interesting point.

MT, mb posted the popular mechanics debunking article earlier. Lots of straw men in there!

What safely landed plane? There were four hijacked planes - two hit the WTC (we have all seen them), one hit the Pentagon (literally hundreds of eyewitnesses saw this plane) and one crash landed after the abortive attempt at takeover by the passengers (for which we have the phone evidence).

Imo all these conspiracy theories are a piece of nonsense. There were no planes, terrorists or crashes on that day and in fact, the WTC is still there. It's just that we can no longer see it, due to a combination of US govt smoke and mirrors, for no particular reason except that they can.
