• When Osama Bin Laden claimed responsibility for the attacks, he was actually an actor impersonating him, and Osama himself has never come forward to point this out and neither has anyone connected with him.

• Those arrested and tried in connection with the plot were actually actors/CIA operatives (?) who, presumably were never really sent to prison at all, or whose place in prison was taken by doubles.

• The supposed pilots were actually....who...?

I think that's about the size of it Tinker, apart from a modification:

• All meetings scheduled for 9/11 in teh WTC were mysteriously rearranged

• except for the many that weren't, hence the 2000 deaths.

I'm still not sure why all this had to be done to justify the war in Iraq either, since that was able to be justified quite neatly by telling a pack of lies about WOMD?

I think it was the Philly flight that is believed to have been shot down in some quarters not the Pentagon one.

For myself, my only query is with the New York incident.
I just find it odd the way the two towers came down and also WTC7. It's not impossible I suppose but no burning skyscraper, before or since 9/11, has collapsed in this manner and some of the links Jan has provided make interesting reading (to a lay person!).

If true, I also find the gagging orders on firefighters somewhat alarming.

Okay ... so InnocentGuy gets named on BBC as a suspected terrorist very shortly after the attacks. Real facts are short on the ground, the info from Reuters and other news sources are in short supply and contradictory. Newspapers/TV names InnocentGuy anyway as part of the lineup.

A bit later on, they discover that InnocentGuy is not the same person as EvilTerrorist and funnily enough, InnocentGuy is still very much alive as he never even got on a plane, unlike EvilTerrorist whose identity may or may not be known who was on the plane.

Yes, Tamum, and why, if this was pretext for war in Iraq, didn't they ensure that amid all this bombing, and gassing and demolishing and flying, that there was at least one direct link to Iraq itself? That seems quite a grave oversight.

Sadam Hussein had several body doubles to confuse would-be assassins, didn't he? And I'm sure it's not an uncommon tactic...

I know Bush isn't strong on geography, but surely someone should have pointed out that while making up fake identities for the non-existent pilots, it would have been better for their conspiracy if at least one of them was Iraqi and not Saudi, and that maybe one or two of them should have visited Iraq at some point, and maybe had a spot of lunch with Saddam Hussein?

Tinker - I don't remember. I just remember reading that there was a fairly high number of "doubles" (more like octuples or something?) for SH.

I think it is more likely that US government had warnings of the attacks, and used this to their advantage in many ways.
If you read through the thread there are several things pointed out that would suggest this.

I have read the thread. There are some who seem to believe that and others who believe it was all fabricated by the US government from start to finish.

What about the black boxes?

Common sense may say this is all a fairy story but there are still a lot of holes in the official version.

the film with OBL admitting guilt to the WTC bombings is slightly odd - obl is left handed and this guy was right.

Also - IF tere were bombs in wtc, they could have been placed there by terrorists not by the governments?
