My uncle sent me this and thought it was an appropriate time to share it with you

The Truth?

Here is something else to think about although it is just the opinion of a friend when we were talking about it after both of us had seen the In Plane Truth. She thinks that the bit of the Pentagon that was blown up was where they all arranged it!

And she is American.

TheDevilsAdvocate · 31/12/2006 22:46

I'm just glad KATG found a wonderful new RL and isn't around to read this thread.

JanH · 31/12/2006 22:54

I was trying to talk to DH about this today and he just dismissed the whole thing (typical) but I've just re-read the thread and come across sobernow's post about Bletchley Park:

"In 1942, the codebreakers at Bletchley Park told Churchill that they had deciphered a message that Coventry was to be the subject of a heavy attack. He decided to let the attack go ahead rather than let the Germans know that the code had been broken. 750 people were killed as a result.

That was dismissed as a conspiracy theory until 1992, when the official papers were released and it was found to be true."

Think I might mention that to him tomorrow.

TDA, you think because of people like kate this shouldn't be discussed? Really???

TheDevilsAdvocate · 31/12/2006 22:56

No, not at all. I'm just glad that she isn't here to read it.

I would hope that if she was still a regular poster that people would have more sensitivity.

JanH · 31/12/2006 22:58

So you do think we shouldn't discuss it!

JanH · 31/12/2006 23:00

(That lets G Bush et al off nicely then)

bettythebuilder · 31/12/2006 23:01

JanH, I was talking to dh about this this afternoon, and he was the one saying it was a conspiracy (he's particularly iffy about the pentagon plane, and as an Air Traffic Controller with flying experience, I almost listened to him )

sandcastles · 31/12/2006 23:01

sobernow, of course it would be too tempting.

It's the whole 'don't look down' so what do you do? Look down, it's human nature

TheDevilsAdvocate · 31/12/2006 23:02

No, I don't care if you discuss it or not.

My first thoughts when I started reading this were of KATG and I voiced them.

Sorry, am I not allowed an opinion?

JanH · 31/12/2006 23:06

Well of course you are allowed your opinion, TDA; but if that is that kate shouldn't see this discussion, that seems to suggest that the discussion shouldn't take place (ie that we should not discuss our opinions?)

Not sure if anyone's posted this link yet - to 911 research?

Critiques the points the movie makes in transcript form.

I'm watching the film and reading the points as I go along.

JanH · 31/12/2006 23:13

I mentioned the Coventry thing to DH and he said oh, that was different - because sacrificing those 750 saved more people later.

Okaaaay. Nice for the families of the 750.

(DH just does not believe that any individual in the US administration would sacrifice a single soul. I do )

JanH · 31/12/2006 23:14

We've moved on a bit from Loose Change, hunker, but I'll have a look anyway

TheDevilsAdvocate · 31/12/2006 23:14

I thought of Kate, I posted my thoughts. End of. If you want to read that as some sort of strange suggestion of censorship Jan then feel free.

I now recall why I decided to leave MN and indeed why I am not posting under my usual persona. I regret returning.

Happy 2007 to you all.

JanH · 31/12/2006 23:19

Ohhhh - yup, lots of links to 9-11 research further down in fact - it's a great site.

Yes, figured the thread might've moved on a bit since the first few posts!

Should've read further, really

Now, who is pro-conspiracy and who is anti? Anyone want to do me a precis?

bettythebuilder · 31/12/2006 23:22

Janh, my dh is the opposite of yours - one of Dh's reasons for there being a 9/11 conspiracy was that the CIA had got rid of president Kennedy, so they could have planned something else (ok, I'm generalising his argument, but I like to do that because it annoys him )

JanH · 31/12/2006 23:24

DTA, I didn't mention censorship, you did - and that you hoped people would have more sensitivity than to discuss this where kate might see it.

So where, then?

I'm sorry you think that this means that you feel you have to leave MN

bettythebuilder · 31/12/2006 23:24
RubberDuckInLeftoverCurry · 31/12/2006 23:25

I do actually have a physics degree...

... I've just forgotten most of it

TheDevilsAdvocate · 31/12/2006 23:31

THIS isn't the reason I'm leaving, the response to my post just reminds me why I decide to leave. The fact that you cannot make a simple post without having it pulled to pieces and having to explain yourself. I wonder if your response would be the same if I posted under my known name, or if this is how newbies are made to feel?

I repeat yet again - I simply voiced my thoughts. You asked if I thought it shouldn't be discussed. Maybe you misunderstood my badly worded reply - when I said 'No, not at all' it was more a dismissive reply to the really??? at the end of your post.

I said I hoped people would have more sensitivity if Kate WAS here. She isn't - discuss away.

Hunker, I'm anti-conspiracy. Think the majority of conspiracy theories are a load of crap.

JanH · 31/12/2006 23:44

TDA, I don't understand your argument - sorry
