Just asked dh who thinks that 'gangs of men' may alienate men from signing. Not sure but thought I'd put it out there for consideration.

What are the penalties for hate crime? Maybe we could ask for harassment and assault of women to be treated and prosecuted as a hate crime, that way you are asking for something solid rather than just wanting debate. Sexism just isn't seen to be as bad as racism and it should be. Calling a women a 'fucking slag' should be every bit as shocking and disapproved of as calling somebody a 'fucking nigger'

It says 'Polish State TV’s “Po przecinku” (“After the comma”) program this week reported German officials ordered CCTV video of the Cologne sexual assaults on New Year’s Eve be deleted'.

Perhaps take out 'gangs of men' and leave it at 'sexually assaulted'.

I do see what you're saying about 'gangs of men' fourmummy but those are sadly the facts of NYE. It wasn't gangs of people, ie both sexes, and there comes a point where the wording becomes so careful not to offend that the point gets diluted as already discussed when working in earlier drafts of this (brilliant) petition. This is about unacceptable male behaviour, surely protesting gang sexual assault isn't anti men?
