This thread has been extraordinary and sincere thanks to all who have contributed.
I sadly have extensive experience of this culture, both in the ME and mainland Europe and I think it is less an orchestrated ISIS attack than a taste of what is to come if we continue to allow terror of being called 'racist' silence this critical debate.
We are laughed at by this culture for our desperation to tie ourselves in knots defending the indefensible. For putting our desire to appear open-minded, understanding and tolerant before protecting our own civilisation.
For our alacrity to slag off the behaviour of our own men rather than protect the rights of our own women.
The heartbreak for me is the way that women have been so brainwashed by the terror of being thought racist.
Our own amazing poster MistressMia is regularly subject to astonishing vituperation by our sisters who cannot square her extensive knowledge and experience of the negative side of patriarchal Islamic future with their own need to be Right On Above Sisterhood.
I love the idea of a Facebook campaign and will also write to my MP - perhaps we could brainstorm some of the issues and wording?
Anyone have experience of political lobbying? I will do what I can.
