9/11. Not interested in a debate here, but can we just have a quick show of hands?

I'm just interested in how many people around here are also highly skeptical of what we have been told about 9/11.

I'm really not after a debate (it would be long, involved, probably pointless and personally I have done this elsewhere), but I just wanted to see who is around.

It has very strong ongoing relevance for current world events.

Many thanks.

They say that some of teh same "crisis actors" are used in different shootings. They say there is one woman who appears in more than one as a witness or interviewee etc.

LibrariesGaveUsP0wer · 12/10/2015 22:09

Yeah. The mystical powers behind crisis actors would be just that daft

It really is down the rabbit hole stuff.

People like to feel clever. They like to feel they cracked a puzzle. Doesn't make them smart. Just makes them oddly smug.

claig · 12/10/2015 22:09

'Because a lot of nutters like to feel credible by posting crap on the Internet'

Well, they are either nutters or amateur Miss Marples. They don't believe what the media tells them in many cases about Savile or lots of other things and they dp a Miss Marples to try and find out whether any lies are being told.

UnderTheGreenwoodTree · 12/10/2015 22:09

The effect conspiracy theories must have on the grieving relatives - both 9/11 and the mass shootings, must be devastating though.

CultureSucksDownWords · 12/10/2015 22:10

But I would like to know what has convinced you Claig, not what random stuff I can google. You're fairly certain this is happening, if it is, it's outrageous. I'd like to know what has convinced you that it's definitely happening.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 12/10/2015 22:11

Good point GreenwoodTree

claig · 12/10/2015 22:11

'The mystical powers behind crisis actors would be just that daft '

They use ads and agencies to recruit "crisis actors", and the theory is that being human, they make mistakes and think the people will fall for a lot so tend to be arrogant in approach.

LibrariesGaveUsP0wer · 12/10/2015 22:11

Yeah. But Miss Marple they ain't.

And Saville has naff all to do with conspiracy theories. It was a good old fashioned cover up.

BastardGoDarkly · 12/10/2015 22:12

Nope, I don't believe a word of what we've been told.

sparechange · 12/10/2015 22:16

What has the media told them about Saville that they don't believe? Confused

It was a totally different and unrelated thing. It wasn't masterminded by the government or the establishment to further some cause.

It was a horrible predatorary man in a position of power, working with other horrible predatory men in positions of power to hush up women by discrediting, bullying and coercing them.
What the sweet fuck has that got to do with mass murder in order to push up the share price of arms companies?

claig · 12/10/2015 22:16

Diana wrote that she had been warned that she would be killed in a car crash.

"Princess Diana warned of a plot to kill her in a car crash 10 months before her death, it was claimed today.
In a letter that her former butler, Paul Burrell, says she told him to keep "just in case", she writes that a crash was being planned so Prince Charles could remarry."

www.theguardian.com/media/2003/oct/20/2

'Yes, that "Spooks" episode about it was very good. But it's not real.'

The theory is that they create stuff like the X-Files so that the public will say "I saw that on TV, it's not real, it's only fiction".

LibrariesGaveUsP0wer · 12/10/2015 22:18

Once you get to Diana the rabbit hole is simply a spec in the distance....

claig · 12/10/2015 22:18

'It was a good old fashioned cover up.'

Cover ups are conspiracies to conceal the truth about events and that applies to any event.

Aussiemum78 · 12/10/2015 22:19

I love reading about history so I know about numerous instances of when wars were started on flimsy pretences (ww1), and when populations fighting invaders were demonised as terrorists (Kenya?)

I think much of the problems now can be traced back to colonisation a century ago and changing alliances of the West ever since (Iraq).

However I don't think 9/11 was staged. I think in years to come we will know more about the lead up to it and the aftermath (war) but the basic facts of the day will be the same. I think what happened afterward was a farce.

UnderTheGreenwoodTree · 12/10/2015 22:20

claig, proving why you can never debate a conspiracy theorist. "Ahhhh, but that's what they want you to think."

sparechange · 12/10/2015 22:21

Pleeease show me one of those ads. One that isn't a coded message in a non-acting magazine classified page.

It's weird. I've got quite a few jobbing actor mates. I think all of them would consider themselves quite lefty and against the current US gun laws. How come none of them have replied to these ads for actors to bring down the gun laws?

I'm out of this thread. You are clearly beyond reason or rational thought.

I'm off to film a YouTube video about how conspiracy theories are all made up by the social media team at Pharma companies to shift more blood pressure medication.

It is more comforting to me than having to believe people can actually be that thick.

claig · 12/10/2015 22:22

'What has the media told them about Saville that they don't believe? '

Savile was portrayed as a do-gooder and charidee contributor etc and as a bit eccentric. When some people said there was more to it than that and that he was a paedophile, the great and the good said don't be ridiculous, he is Sir Jimmy Savile, a charidee contributor and friend of people in high places, how on earth could anyone say that about the fellow? And most people agreed with the great and the good and saw nothing unusual about a DJ being given a role at a mental hospital etc.

LibrariesGaveUsP0wer · 12/10/2015 22:22

A conspiracy to conceal criminal activity is not the same thing as a conspiracy theory. How odd to conflate the two just because they share a word.

sparechange · 12/10/2015 22:25

claig
Are you actually trolling now, or being this dense as to not see the difference between conspiracy theories which hinge around a plot with an ulterior motive (giving an excuse for war, pushing up share prices, pushing through laws, removing an embarrassing family member) and good old fashioned cover ups of bad behaviour?

Enlighten us, who was the beneficiary of this grand Saville conspiracy, behind those involved in the abuse?

Qwertybynature · 12/10/2015 22:27

Or do they make you think that's what they want you to think? Claig

Grin backforthis

claig · 12/10/2015 22:31

'A conspiracy to conceal criminal activity is not the same thing as a conspiracy theory'

A conspiracy is an act by conspirators to carry out an act and conceal the truth about it so that it doesn't get revealed. A conspiracy theory is a theory about such a conspiracy and is a theory because it cannot be proved.

'Enlighten us, who was the beneficiary of this grand Saville conspiracy, behind those involved in the abuse?'

The beneficiary is the top elite who use blackmail to control puppets to do their bidding. That is why the conspirators are protected by the elite in order to protect the gang behind it and to maintain control over the puppets.

LeChien · 12/10/2015 22:32

I do remember deleted threads about Jimmy Savile where posters were accused of being conspiracy theorists for believing that he was a monster.
Yes it was a cover up, but only once the truth was out there.

I wonder if the Paul is Dead theory will ever be proved.

claig · 12/10/2015 22:34

'Or do they make you think that's what they want you to think? Claig'

They would have to get up very early in the morning to fool me. Wink

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 12/10/2015 22:35

Keep posting claig, I'm finding it interesting. You don't need to be so rude sparechange

claig · 12/10/2015 22:39

'You don't need to be so rude sparechange'

It's a natural reaction to be rude when the true reality and horror of what really goes on is revealed because people are frightened to believe that the elites could really be capable of such things, since society is at the mercy of these elites.
