I hope she doesn't do anything else stupid but I am worried that she has now bought in so deeply to this Mother's Instinct Narrative that she may have to.

All these supporters who got whipped up into a frenzy - do you think they will just melt away now?

BTW the Transparency Project tried to get the Telegraph to print this, but they refused, quite rudely. I am hoping that one of the good things to come out of this sad case will be that Christopher Booker is encourage to take early retirement.

It's an interesting point about supervised contact - it can't stay supervised for ever - either she stops trying to brainwash the child or her contact may have to cease altogether.

If I was the dad I would want some kind of psychological evaluation of her before I agreed to unsupervised.

Thanks! I think it has been educative, as the Judge commented. I certainly have learned a lot about how strongly some people believe a mother's instinct should trump the rule of law, which was a surprise and a shock to me.

there are no words for that petition!!!

"I am requesting a change to the law to give Mothers straight custody of the children with regular access to their Fathers.

To refuse those Fathers any applications to the Law and Courts, providing the children are safe.

On that basis Fathers should have an automatic right to see the children as follow:

• Friday pm to Sunday pm every other weekend. -One week in Christmas Holidays. -One week in Easter holidays. -Two weeks in Summer holidays (for children under 8 years of age taken separately)."

ok so i have a few words - What the actual Fuck!!!

So fathers by default get every other weekend and 4 weeks holiday. So a father could go from being the primary career/stay at home dad to this - they want this as a blanket policy!!!!!!! no ifs or buts.

At least common sense seems to be prevailing - the petition has reach the grand total of 50 signatures in a month.

Ah...the joy t'intyweb, every one of us can have a voice, even the nutty ones. Poorly written too.

And they want fathers to have an automatic right to that level of access even if they're known to be abusive? And, presumably, mothers to have custody even if they don't want it?

The stupidity is burning.
