Panic in elite circles

This is a day of celebration, not recrimination.

OP posts:
claig · 27/09/2014 15:50

'so I'm not sure where the 1000 posts comes from.'

I think the other 973 posts were from the metropolitan elite and have been immediately removed by MNHQ for breaking the Talk Guidelines due to foul language.

Against the Labour and Tory PPEs, not PPEs from the People's Army.

I can smell the tippex Grin

meditrina ....I have told you 3 million times, I never exaggerate, not really.

I guess you are fairly new here, as Claig mentions it in nearly every other post, we think as she thinks the thicker a politician is, they have the ability to run a country and get their heads around complex ministries, political issues and law making.

Look at the Carswell thread, I believe the last post she wrote was slagging off PPE's, before rejoicing on the Reckless defection. Oooops.

Now Ukip have just bought a PPE (price to come out later e.g Deputy Leader in the North), Claig will need something else to keep up the 'drip, drip, drip' of main party dissatisfaction - rather than tell us why we should vote for Ukip, as increasing National Debt to bribe the nation, falls at the first Doncaster hurdle - or where ever else he parks his 1930's style 'tanks on the lawn'.

Isitmebut · 27/09/2014 17:02

Claig …. Any Conservative joining Ukip, who for 20-years has promised the voter they can take the UK out of the EU when they can’t, and now offers tax bribes to increase the budget deficit, Ukip is welcome to.

As with Carswell, THIS is the Ex Tory, buying current Tories, some who might fear for their seats/salaries, during his Mayfair interviews.

Politics, but not how we know it, not 'different', more like City buy outs/takeovers, than a people revolution.

“Stuart Wheeler (born 30 January 1935) is a British businessman and politician. He made his fortune as the founder of the spread betting firm IG Index in 1974, but is best known for his political activism, being formerly a major donor to the Conservative Party and, since 2011, treasurer of the United Kingdom Independence Party.”

P.S. I will apologise for swearing, but to see your hypocrisy on PPE’s after so many posts, over several months, of you being against those in the main parties re competence, warranted it – as I was beyond a gasted flabber seeing a COMPLETE U turn, in two posts, over on Carswell. Priceless.

claig · 27/09/2014 17:03

Breitbart said the odds of Reckless defecting were 7/10.

They predict the odds of two Tories defecting at 9/10

cdn.breitbart.com/Breitbart-London/2014/08/28/After-Carswell-Defects-To-UKIP-Which-Tory-MPs-Might-Follow-Him

The 6 Tories who voted against the bombing in Iraq are

Richard Bacon (Norfolk South), John Baron (Basildon & Billericay), Gordon Henderson (Sittingbourne & Sheppey), Adam Holloway (Gravesham), Nigel Mills (Amber Valley), Mark Reckless (Rochester & Strood).

Farage says he is talking to Labour MPs too.

I think there are more defections to come, maybe some Labour ones too.

OP posts:
claig · 27/09/2014 17:06

But being a PPE and competence are not necessarily synonymous - you only have to look at the the Labour and Tory ones. Obviously, UKIP PPEs are a totally different kettle of fish and are very welcome!

OP posts:
Isitmebut · 27/09/2014 17:17

Claig ... I agree with your main point, the PPE's at Labour trashed the UK economically and socially by running the country into so much debt, whereas the PPE's and added Eton brains within the Conservatives, get the country out.

Ukip had god knows what, and it showed in their lack of ....well, everything really.

Ukip's Stuart Wheeler runs a large FTSE company, people like him are used to hiring talent and he finds it within the Conservative Party, after all you don't hire a CEO who just run a company into the ground, you hire a successful one.

Rebecca2014 · 27/09/2014 17:32

Great! I been watching the UKIP conference and have been impressed.

thisonehasalittlecar · 27/09/2014 22:15

The last time Mark Reckless made the news I believe was when he passed out drunk in the Commons bar and missed a vote on the budget.

claig · 28/09/2014 12:04

Lord Ashcroft has tweeted

We start the Rochester by-election with the bookies quoting UKIP 1/2 CON 9/4 LAB 7/1

Dawndonnaagain · 28/09/2014 13:20

Another day, another thread full of absolute nonsense.

claig · 28/09/2014 14:31

It is unkind to describe Isitmebut's posts in that way.

OP posts:
LittleBearPad · 28/09/2014 14:50

I knew I'd heard of him littlecar. A fine catch for UKIP. Wink

and it's PPE-ist, Claig

Dawndonnaagain · 28/09/2014 17:16

Oh good grief claig are you five?

Inkanta · 28/09/2014 17:54

'He lied to party activists - he lied and lied and lied and lied....' said Grant Shapps ...nah nah nah nah naah Grin

Hmm
claig · 28/09/2014 18:09

They should just have the good grace to accept that a man of principle could no longer continue going against his conscience.

Winston Churchill crossed the floor lots of times.

And I guess when we go looking for another job we don't generally go telling our line manager what we are up to until we get the job.

claig · 28/09/2014 18:24

Exactly. They even gave the tape to BBC's Sunday Politics Show of Reckless saying that he would turn up at a meeting to help with a campaign and then they cried "he lied, lied, lied". Boo hoo.

OP posts:
Isitmebut · 28/09/2014 18:30

Mr Reckless and Mr Farage had to abandon their little walk about today - and ended up doing a runner, who from. 'the people'? Oops.

claig · 28/09/2014 18:42

who from. 'the people'?

Tory activists, I suspect.
The people have more sense.

OP posts:
WetAugust · 28/09/2014 21:28

So this is where you're camping?

WetAugust · 28/09/2014 21:30

Grant Shaps sends me emails regularly full of porkies. I also get them from his mate Dave. I wish I knew how they got my email address

joanofarchitrave · 28/09/2014 21:31

I'm torn now because I have vowed always to believe the opposite of what 'Grant Shapps' says, so I now have to believe that Mark Reckless has done this for the sake of the Conservative Party. Like hara-kiri?
