@AishaHosseini Of course I'm a Zionist and proud of it and proud of the way Israel is defending itself. Israel would never intentionally harm innocent people or children but Hamas intentionally put them in harms way. Last week Israel pulled out of making a strike as they did spot children. The school that was hit was by a Hamas rocket not Israeli as reported in the news and anyway what kind of animal keeps rockets and weapons in schools, hospitals and mosques?? Infact animal is too good a word for these people! @AishaHosseini how many people do you know who are not pro Hamas, who do not support their actions and believe in their ideals? How many people do you know in Gaza who want to live side by side with Israel? Would you willingly go to Israel and live in peace side by side with the Jews?

Whew - lots of new posters tonight - six and I stopped counting. Hope everyone has had a chance to read the three threads - many of the points already discussed in earlier posts.

@zinher - the IDF are incredibly brave, wonderful soldiers who defend their country, a country they are proud of and love, Hamas don't love Gaza, they don't love their people, they are the worst kind of infection there ever could be! The IDF have set up a field hospital to help the injured people of Gaza, do you know about this, they give the children food, they try to also protect the people of Gaza as much as they can - what other army would do this in the face of such adversity? The IDF are one of the best armies in the world and I am incredibly proud of them!!

ZINHER - the IDF is the only army that I am aware of, ever, that warns its foes of where and when it is set to strike SO THAT innocents can escape.

Richard Kemp, not Israeli, not Jewish, no axe to grind, a military expert, has stated repeatedly having seen the IDF in action, that this is the 'most moral' army on the planet.

It's interesting for me this thread, and being here in the UK in general. I have never visited Britain before. During my month here so far I've seen a lot of misunderstandings about Israel and Israeli history and Gaza etc. I thought British people, since you all had terrorism here yourselves, in London, would understand a lot more. I was wrong.

British people, even in the face of terrorist acts, would never support the kind of revenge massacre against innocent people that Israel is carrying out. It is beyond comprehension, logic and humanity that any civilised person could support Israel at this point.

SAADIA - I can assure you that if Britain's neighours openly vowed to destroy every person in Britain, and if those enemies kept sending suicide bombers INTO Britain, on a weekly basis, and if those enemies dug tunnels that led into British homes and schools and hospitals, and sent missiles over every ten minutes then YES, Britain would do precisely what Israel does not. Any sane country that wished to survive would.

@saadia British people supported Iraq and Afghanistan, they followed the lies the media fed them that they were fighting for a good cause and then the lies were discovered! The same with Hamas in Gaza, all you people are believing the lies you are being fed, Israel is not on a revenge massacre against innocent people, they are on a mission to destroy the tunnels that Hamas has created so they cannot attack Israel through them, they are destroying their weapons and their command centres, all they want to do is destroy the infrastructure of the terrorist organisation.
