Is Stipp M Burger's husband or am I just confused?

Not seen his testimony until today and I am amazed, they have this evidence and they still thinkmthenlights were off?

'Radiologist Dr Johan Stipp, a neighbour of Pistorius in the Silver Woods estate, was awoken by the sound of bangs in the early hours of February 14 2013. As a former military doctor, he identified these as gunshots.

Stipp told the court that he went to his balcony, saw lights on in Pistorius' house, then heard the sound of a woman screaming and a male's voice. His bedroom is 72m from Pistorius' bathroom.

While trying to phone Silver Woods’s security back in his bedroom, he heard three more bangs, which he thought were also shots and shouted for his wife to get to safety.

Stipp returned to the balcony and heard a man screaming three times for help. He returned to his bedroom and after consulting with his wife, got dressed and drove to security before going to Pistorius' house.'

Hi they are on the Sky website, under the report for each day. The trouble is you have to find the report for each day in order to find the transcript for that particular day, which is a bit of a pain - here is the one for today.

I didn't know Dr Stipp had seen "all the lights on". I thought he said that the house next door had all the lights on, but OP' s was the bathroom, and the toilet slightly dimmer.

StackALee No Dr and Mrs Stipp lived across the road somewhere. The Burgers (her husband has a different surname, can't remember what) are the couple who lived the furthest away I think

I can't find the relevant transcript but I found the tweet thread from Alex Crawford:

And now I'm off to bed. Does anyone else go to sleep thinking the evidence over and over in their brain and start doing it again the minute they wake up? Or am I just totally obsessed?

I have just found it on YouTube Dr Stipp was on the witness stand on the 6th March.

He states - he went outside to ask mr stander if an ambulance had been called, he said no, he then phoned a number to which he was told he need to call 911 net care, mr stander then called 911. In this time he noticed OP walking back up the stairs, Dr Stipp then asked Mr Stander where the gun was, he said he was worried about OP emotional state, after a few minutes OP came back downstairs.

So he did go upstairs going by Dr Stipp but no one has asked him what he was doing up stairs at this time, this means before any police, paramedics or police photographers turned up OP DID go upstairs.

I find this most strange, that means after Dr Stipp arrived and found OP at the bottom of the stairs with Reeva and Dr Stipp trying to help etc, Dr Stipp then went outside, OP then toke this opportunity to leave Reevas side and go upstairs, a massive WHY for me.

On YouTube type in oscar pistorius trial Thursday 6 March 2014 session 2. The bit about going upstairs is around the 35 minute mark, listening to it all would be good but I think my bed is nearly calling me.

Nel will ask him, don't you worry! Wonder why Stander went outside? Was his daughter with him or still in the house?

Free I thought all along this was the case (OP) going upstairs before paramedics/police arrived!!! Someone explained that he'd gone up to get RS I'd, but this was obviously later when police arrived. Hugely suspicious; thinking opening window, moving fan, duvet, jeans... Also how DID bullet casing get inside toilet bowl in bloody water if door was locked when he fired?

Dr Stipp also states after he heard the first 3 bangs he went out on his balcony and he says OP bathroom lights were ON. Again doesn't for OP version.

I think Dr Stipp testimony is vital, I thought this at the time, he came across clear with no mistaking what he saw what he did.

I've just read the netmums thread about this. Apparently one of the wives (of the couples who have evidence) changed her evidence later to fit her husbands.
Netmums also v sceptical on the whole.

PD6966 God knows about the bullet casing and yes he could have opened the window but why would OP move the stuff around into a position that cast doubt on his story? The duvet especially seems bizarre because he must have known it would have been in his way if he was telling the truth.

Totally agree about the seeming reliability of Stipp; coupled with Berger and bolstered with other circumstantial evidence it appears OP is sinking, BUT, what has the defence got in store?

Nerf - I think that was mrs burger.

Also Dr Stipp stated his windows and doors were open that night in his bedroom as it was very hot.

I'm pretty sure the defence have something in store, OP direct next door neighbours each side of his house have not yet given evidence, there houses were shown last week and OP was asked how well he knew them etc by Mr Roux, 1 of the houses, the house on the left if you face OP house, there bedroom was on the same side as OP bathroom, so I'm sure they will be in the witness stand. Also I'm more than sure some experts are on there way in and no doubt people to prove the scene was tampered with etc.

That's why I'm still staying on the fence, I really want to hear everything before deciding, I also believe in innocent until proven guilty, everyone deserves a fair trial.

Thanks Free. 72 metres is very far away though ; dh just pointed out a house about that far. I suppose it is relevant how many houses and how close together in terms of whether he could be mistaken about where the noise was coming from .
