I didn't say it would be MM. I did think of her when I read the headline though but I was just sharing it as news not as a MM thread.

It is great that DNA tests can give parents certainty in a case like this. I do hope the parents can be located but she may have been taken/lost a long time ago, as a baby even. It would be hard to know she is your dc really. To me at first glance she looks Eastern European - Belorussian maybe but she could equally easily be from anywhere in northern or central Europe.

Great news for her family though. Hope they can be found. I wonder why she was with this family.

Might be a lead to others though? Hopefully this little girl will be be reunited with her parents soon :)

I started a thread in chat. How in this day and age is there no register to match this child to her parents. Poor wee child, she needs her family and for people to work out how she was taken.

hope they find her parents too....there are hundreds of missing children,some are lucky,like this girl and are found. I too wondered why the MM reference,she is only one of many. but it does indicate that there seems tobe a 'market' for blonde children...thinking of ben needham here too

would help if they could get some basic facts straight though. In one article she has green eyes, in the other blue. I don't think green eyes are that common.

It made me think of Ben Needham more than it did MM with it being in Greece.

IF this little girl was abducted she will hopefully be reunited with her parents but she may not have been.

I don't think it's any big deal but with MMc in our minds, we saw a thread title saying "Blond girl found..."
It makes no difference though, this is a little girl who will (hopefully) be reunited with her loving, frantic family

yes her hair does look as if it was dyed and has grown out. So dyed a long time ago. In the second Picture in the bottom yahoo link, her hair has obviously been washed or the dyed hair cut off by the organisation that tries to bring abducted children and their families back together. It is the only photo in which she doesn't look very distressed.

Apparently she speaks Roma so probably been with them a while.

Why is Madeline any more important than this little girl? Also Madeline would be about 7 so why are people getting annoyed at thinking Madeline was found by the title of this thread.

And the title of the thread makes no mention of age, so "new leads in Madeleine case" last week, followed by "Blonde girl found..." thread this week - pretty silly not to make the link, surely?
