It seems sanity has prevailed. Let's hope there are no more delays and the site is cleared ASAP

OP posts:
glasnost · 19/10/2011 07:49

When someone gets hurt remember your attitudes have contributed to that.

glasnost · 19/10/2011 07:50

Not YOUR attitudes crazynanna I referred to needanewsoul and types of her ilk.

needanewname · 19/10/2011 07:56

Show me what I have been sweary and ranty. You have been far more offensive than other posters on here.

Yet again it is you getting your knickers in a twist and distorting what others have said.

glasnost · 19/10/2011 08:02

"omfg", multiple use of exclamation marks, general disregarding of anyone's opionion dischordant with your own.

I'd add to crazynanna's post. Shame on MN posters who support this eviction.

Eviction. Or POGROM. Look it up kneejerkers.

glasnost · 19/10/2011 08:08

I've had 2 posts deleted where I called OP a bigot. I've been called bonkers, raving and other intelligent things by that irritating poster called.........summat silly. Yet I'd never DREAM of getting that post deleted as I'm inherently democratic. And have read Voltaire.

Who he, they cry? Does he write for the Express, DM etc?

CogitoErgoSometimes · 19/10/2011 08:08

This is not a pogrom Glasnost. This is not a massacre or persecution. There are 600 legitimate residents of Dale Farm who were there before the problems and will be there after this is over. If this was a 'pogrom', they would be made to leave the same as the illegal tenants. Your use of hyperbole just makes you look ridiculous.

CogitoErgoSometimes · 19/10/2011 08:11

You're getting posts deleted glasnost because you're being deliberately offensive and making personal attacks towards other members and that's not in the spirit of Mumsnet. The rules of the message board are

When writing your messages, please use the same courtesy that you would show when speaking face-to-face with someone. Our policy is to keep intervention to a minimum (we don't have formal moderators) and let the conversation flow. Having said that, we will remove postings that are obscene, contain personal attacks or break the law. For more on this, see our Netiquette page

niceguy2 · 19/10/2011 08:12

Do you defend all this?

How do you defend the "protesters" hurling stones etc at the police then?

OP posts:
needanewname · 19/10/2011 08:19

Hahahahaha! If you find omfg and the use if multiple exclamation marks offensive you're on the wrong message forum. Really this just gets better and better!

And if you'd care to actually read some of my posts you will see that I am not having a go at all posters with a different view to mine, I think mathanxiety for example has many valid points and has made me look at some at this in a different way. You however glasnost....

You can say what you like about me, I won't report you, it allows others to see your true colours.

glasnost · 19/10/2011 08:25

Oh I would strongly advise a healthy dose of Voltaire for all of you.

And what exactly COULD you report me for needanewsoul? How tedious. Calling OP is not offensive. It's a statement of fact. Grow up.

You just don't geddit, do you? Why would you ger frothy at the mouth about a piece of LAND when there is rank injustice, wars, poverty to get angry about? You are manipulated or in bad faith. You'll know which of the two.

At times I truly cringe at the thought some poster on here are parents.

glasnost · 19/10/2011 08:26

And "hahahaha!" needanesoul is stunningly profound. Really.

chipstick10 · 19/10/2011 08:26

About time.

glasnost · 19/10/2011 08:28

And Cogit I really think you should desist from harping on about what's offensive considering you resort to telling other posters to "fuck off" when your arguments are shown up for what they are. Come along now.

2old2beamum · 19/10/2011 08:31

Thanks glasnot, may be of little use when alive but even less when dead. I totally agree with all you have said and crazynanna Shame on all you inhumane people I hope you all happy now. I shall watch with interest as to what happens to the land.

glasnost · 19/10/2011 08:41

This is a breach of international human rights btw. Just a tiny detail thought I'd throw in the mix. U.N's legal experts have deemed it such.

Are they "raving", "bonkers", "insane", should "go away" etc?

blackoutthesun · 19/10/2011 08:55

about bloody time

haven't read the rest of the thread as it looks like a bun fight

thefirstMrsDeVeerie · 19/10/2011 08:59

Dont bother blackout its just more racist bollocks.

blackoutthesun · 19/10/2011 09:06

really? is it that bad?

niceguy2 · 19/10/2011 09:08

Inhumane? Get a grip.

How is supporting that the law gets upheld inhumane?

At the end of the day they did not have planning permission. The fact there is a legal side of the site which will not be touched shows that:

a) This is not some sort of racism, ethnic cleansing or even genocide as some lunatics are claiming here.
b) That planning permission actually DOES get granted when their application is right and proper.

Those who are legally staying, I hope they get some normality back in their lives very soon. Those who are illegally squatting I hope sod off as soon as possible.

Haggyoldclothbatspus · 19/10/2011 09:14

The council are currently building a new site in my home village. (There have been 2 our local town. Both were foul and utterly wrecked, then closed.) The locals are living in fear. A few moved in illegally a while back, crime went up locally a small businessman had his livelihood stolen, and a local farmer was threatened with death.
I'll come back in a few months and update you all on how this site affects my village. If, in a years time, there has been no ill effects from this, I'll come here and make a public apology. Until then... I'm with the nay sayers.

Haggy (deep breath): Is there proof the gypsies stole the businessman's livelihood? Were there witnesses to the death threat? All anecdotal, flimsy evidence used to demonise them.
