You don't know what that's a bottle of.

UltimateNachos · 10/10/2010 11:02

But why does that matter? Surely it's no-ones business but theirs?

and?

2shoes · 10/10/2010 11:03

oh ffs, it could be expressed milk you know, and if not who really gives a shit

Pennies · 10/10/2010 11:03

Not interested in how the baby's fed but that is the most shockingly poured pint of Guinness ever.

mrsgordonfreeman · 10/10/2010 11:03

Looks like formula to me: kind of yellowy. Unless SamCam is 1/4 Jersey cow.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 10/10/2010 11:04

Oh FFS

TrillianAstra · 10/10/2010 11:04

The woman has just had her 4th baby, she can do as she bloody well likes.

FloraFinching · 10/10/2010 11:05

Wanna guess how the Prime Minister's baby is being fed?

nope.

as you were.

violethill · 10/10/2010 11:07

Er nope, I can't say I'm particularly interested in how the Prime Minister's baby is being fed.

Though as you started the OP foxytocin, perhaps you could enlighten us on the details?

chibi · 10/10/2010 11:07

currently the visual shorthand for 'involved/loving father' = feeding baby with a bottle (whatever is in it - it could as easily be ebm as not)

the whole point of this image and its choice as one for publication is 'ooh look he's a hands on dad'

why is bottle feeding the only way to demonstrate this?

it would be nice, or even just a change to see something else - e.g. involved dad = nappy changing or soothing to sleep

OooeeeoooeeeoooeeeEthel · 10/10/2010 11:09

So what?

TrillianAstra · 10/10/2010 11:10

No-one wants to see poo chibi Grin

chibi · 10/10/2010 11:11

oh come on

changing some nappy atrocity would really show committed hands-on-ness

Casmama · 10/10/2010 11:13

As long as the baby is being fed I really couldn't give a monkeys whether it is ebm or formula and I don't think it is anyones business either.

foxytocin · 10/10/2010 11:14

ebm? sorry, if you knew how breastfeeding works, and what ebm looks like in a bottle then, no, you'd know better than pretend you know what was or wasn't in the bottle.

I do care how his baby is being fed.

He expects women and children to take the brunt of cuts so far, the NHS freeze cuts are coming, and he is posing for a political photo opportunity with his tiny baby being formula fed from an Avent bottle?

In 2000 £35 million of the NHS budget went to chest and diarrhea infections, alone in children under the age of 1.

Oh, I see, in the brave new world that is coming, breastfeeding is for poor people who can't afford formula.

Pity that it is the rich who tend to have access to good information and support to allow them to breastfeed successfully, despite what I am seeing in this photo opportunity.

Nuttybear · 10/10/2010 11:15

Yep! So what! As long as they don't get the CB!

rainbowinthesky · 10/10/2010 11:16

Maybe she didnt want to breastfeed and it never occured to her that she should because her dh is primeminister. Wild guess and all that.

katkouta · 10/10/2010 11:16

Nobody's business but theirs. (I say that as a BFing mother of 2)

nancy75 · 10/10/2010 11:17

i doubt if Dave made the choice over his baby being breastfed or not, after all he is not the one that can breastfeed.
There could be any number of reasons why the baby is being given a bottle, and not one of those reasons is any of your business.

foxytocin · 10/10/2010 11:18

Ah but we can assume that they do get CB for little FloRo and the rest of them.

Maybe he can take a brave step along with the rest of his party and give back stop claiming CB forthwith for those who receive it.

OP posts:
foxytocin · 10/10/2010 11:18

nope, it wasn't his choice to make.

but it was his choice to pose for a political photo op.

POFAKKEDDthechair · 10/10/2010 11:19

I agree with foxytocin.

violethill · 10/10/2010 11:19

I've seen photos of babies being bottlefed with EBM and with formula, and there is no specific 'look' to the milk.Probably because flash lighting etc can distort colour etc

And btw, what if it is formula in the bottle, because Samantha Cameron is unable to bf?

What a nasty, judgemental OP.
