WELL GOD FORBID I am actually going to serve up the cottage pie tonight , I don't know how many times dh has asked me what we are having for dinner today, he's hoping I will say dominoes, any wonder I can't lose weight if he encourges take away 2 nights in a row
But I would understand if I was a crap cook, but its his whole idea of what classifies as a weekend dinner and a weeknight dinner

JKS/HMHB - the bug that DH and I had at the beginning of the week felt like a migraine, I feel sick when I get them and really thought that was what it was.

I hope everyone is feeling better

Plum could be cottage pie here tonight as DH is on call which means it is easier to have something that can be just sat in the oven to eat as and when he is home. I kind of understand the whole concept of some meals are for certain days of the week. Like roasts. Sometimes we will have one on a saturday or monday, but only if sunday is completely out of the question. Does that make me strange too?

Feel we should do something today. We will hardly see DH, so it will be just DD and me, and she is a bit coldy and grumpy. Hmmmmm....will have to think a bit more i think.

plum, if cottage pie on a sturday is bad then i dread to think what that makes my plan of bolognese on a sunday! I know how you feel about the takeaway i asked my 5 year old what she wanted for tea last night and the usual answer of pizza came up, i pointed out we didnt have any in and her reply was 'well order some then'! oops.

HMHB hope you are both better soon, not sure if you should be the bigger person and be more sympathetic than he was or let him get on with it though!

hey everyone i am going to join as need to sort me house out its such a tip.

i am 10 wks pregnant and have been so sick that everything has gone to pot

so far i have

fed 2 kids
loaded dishwasher
put recycling out
fed cat

need to:

do about 10 loads of washing (seriously i know)
clean kitchen worktops floors tidy away etc

off to get the first load of washing try and get it dried on line

Woo hoo I am upright! and no fever/hallucinations Still feeling a bit weak and pathetic and have ds' rash but sooo much better than I was.

Have all the windows open trying to let the ill out, should change my bed really but don't think I have the energy, will see how I go. Have managed to have a shower and get dressed. And load no 2 of washing is in the machine. Think that's pretty much enough for the day tbh.

Bolognaise ON SUNDAY! goes into faint. How standards have slipped, holds forehead.

Today I am going to garden. HMHB arriving later with SIL, DGS and DGD. looking forward to that. Slight clash with friends barbi party. Want both.
