Happy Anniversary JKS. Actually feel a bit brighter this evening

JustKeepSwimming · 28/05/2010 18:46

Thanks Wasting & CC.

CC - i actually found i was worse in a way after starting ADs, it was as if i could admit to myself i was depressed so i felt sad more. But i knew i was doing something about it and realised it was a bit out of my control (not a fan of the 'you just need to shake yourself out of it' approach!) so that made me feel better. mixed up i know.

FreakoidOrganisoid · 28/05/2010 18:47

Must be a slatterns bug, I've been poorly too.

DD and I both up at 4 feeling sick and aching all over, my temp was 39.9 but i didnt have any adult paracetamol in house so glugged some calpol and text h telling him he had to bring us paracetamol and bread asap because we were ill. By the time he arrived at 9.50 I couldn't even move and had to crawl dowstairs to unlock the door for him. He did feel guilty for not coming sooner when he saw how ill we were though. At one point dd was lying on the floor and said "I'm lying on the floor killing myself to sleep cos I'm too poorly"
My dad came up to look after dc for me though so I've spent a lot of the day dozing and am feeling much better now

cikecaka · 28/05/2010 19:03

Oh poor you freak,

JKS, just letting it all out to the Doc helped me I think, maybe thats why I feel better.

Need to sweep dining area

comewhinewithme · 28/05/2010 19:19

Evening .

Hi HMHB & Plum.

Wasting there will be NO more babies in this family .

FO really hope you feel better tomorrow it has been a total nightmare here I wouldn't wish it on anyone.

My list has gone out of the window. We have had a lovely afternoon though we ate party food and watched Coralina.
Just bathed the girls and they are all listening to Matilda upstairs.
DS is on the xbox so all is peaceful.

Get L to sleep
DP set bike up

Bath
Bed

Probably wont be posting tomorrow so have a good weekend.

PlumBumMum · 28/05/2010 19:21

Wasting, Apparently cottage pie is just not a Friday night dinner, its a Weeknight dinner,
and he dosen't like getting like a mashed potato dinner 2 nights in a row,
so it will be a dinner dinner one night,
then pasta the next
then rice the next
even FIL came one Saturday night and went home shaking his head said to MIL those poor cildren are having stew for dinner on a Saturday night, I think its hilarious

So anyway because we were at the photo thing for so long and near the take away I brought that home with me, but I had a smaller protion as I have lost 2 lbs this week but will have to do lots of exercise tomorrow to make up for it

To do
boil & mash topping for pie and top pie and put in freezer for hmmmmmmmmm Wednesday

JustKeepSwimming · 28/05/2010 19:34

Plum - that is hysterical!!

matumble · 28/05/2010 19:47

ooh can I come and join you?

lists are my thing though I'm not great at getting through them. I tried flylady for a while but it was just too slow moving for me, I end up with big long lists that I charge through a bit and make a difference and then repeat weekly!

I am always trying to get that bit closer to a house that runs well but every time I think I'm there a week later I'm back to square one. with 3 girls 5 and under though I think it is probably inevitable.

comewhinewithme · 28/05/2010 20:12

Hi Matumble and welcome Slatterns sounds like it could be the place for you FLY is scary .

@Plum I used to go out with a boy who knew what day of the week it was by what meal his Mum cooked .

Welcome Matumble!

Oh blimey Freak, sounds awful! Hope it clears up quick.

Plum, that's so funny! I'm actually thinking of doing a weekly meal plan based on pasta one day, stew the next etc. for my ease, but I can't imagine objecting to anything I'd been cooked!

CWWM, sounds like a lovely afternoon. We had quite a small do for DS birthday this year, and it was really nice.

Everythings done for the day. One day I'll actually have the pots washed and dried every evening (maybe a shiny sink? ) but it's not going to be any time soon. (There's only a few pans left)

Morning all.
DH has gone to do shopping, so I am having a sneaky mumsnet. Thanks all for insisting that I wear 'long' for ball, you were right a few people were wearing short, some prom. but eyebrows were raised, everyone looked really elegant which was lovely. had a good time, band a bit dreary, didn't even get wobbly ( unlike last weekend on Pimms).

Wasting I do life drawing at art class, its the highlight of my week, I love it. Although we had a new model , tall skinny guy, very difficult to draw and very -well- -hung-, interesting features. One did not quite know where to position oneself in the room for -a- -good- -view- an interesting composition.
anyway.....
here's my today list
buy grobag
plant tomatoes
clean minging bathroom
change beds for HMHB et al
tidy up
garden
do invoices

waves to Matumble
Hope you get well soon Freaki
and CC i agree that support on anti d' is sometimes just the thing to get back into balance. Good luck.

HalfMumHalfBiscuit · 29/05/2010 14:21

JKS - we have the heating on here. DH has managed to get my migrane (massive ) and has been in bed all day. It could be a virus I suppose? So I have been looking after the DC's and trying to sort house. DD is napping so having brief mnet. Am going to take DC's to friends grans 80th bday party in a mo so at least that will break up the day.

Alice - I think I read that you were trying to stop your dd having a bottle? DS had one for ages. Must have been until he was at least 3. Just at morning and bedtime. Then it was just at bedtime. Then one day he was sick and I told him that he needed to stop drinking milk otherwise he would be sick again and he did ! I do know kids who still have a bottle at 4 at bedtime but they down the milk in seconds.
