Coin down the toilet

My 3 yo ds put a coin down the toilet. It has been there a few days now. We can't retrieve it as it is quite far back & under. I've been putting bleach in every day to see if that would help but it just looks like a permanent poo stain. Has anyone got any remedies? Has it happened to anyone else?! Please say it has 🙈

What did you expect the bleach to do? Just reach down and get it.

Put more coins in, will push the original coin down. Like the coin shove games in arcades.

Fish it out with your bare hand or put a glove on (or even a plastic bag which will be longer) first. The water is clean after flushing you know.

Why can’t you retrieve it?

I've tried fishing it out with the toilet brush but it seems to be stuck. The reason I put bleach in is because I thought it would take the brown stain away. But obviously the dye keeps coming off.

Why can’t you use your hand (in a glove)?

FGS just put your hand down there, get the coin and then wash your hand and arm really really well.

Are you seeing rust? There's no dye in a coin.

You're going to have to stick your hand in there. Unless you can fish it out with a wire coat hanger but that sounds arduous.

Get your rubber gloves on. If you have a kid that throws stuff down the loo this won’t be the last time.

Just stick your hand in and give them a good scrub afterwards! If you've ever changed a nappy you'll have touched far worse than a flushed toilet.

I don’t think using your hand to pick something up is particularly a smart arse thing to suggest.
