Coin down the toilet

My 3 yo ds put a coin down the toilet. It has been there a few days now. We can't retrieve it as it is quite far back & under. I've been putting bleach in every day to see if that would help but it just looks like a permanent poo stain. Has anyone got any remedies? Has it happened to anyone else?! Please say it has 🙈

Sorry if I am being thick here but you haven't actually said if you have stuck a glove on and tried to pick it out with your hand yet. Have you? Or are you just stabbing it with a manky loo brush?

No help but if it's any consolation, DS when he was a similar age , posted a few coins through the vents in the microwave!

I think there’s been a reaction with the coin and bleach so it’s oxidised onto the loo. Get all the water out of the bowl and try and prise it off with your fingers. You could try putting something acid like lemonade or lemon juice or vinegar. Don’t start mixing different things with bleach though and open a window.

Omg yes I tried using my hand but it's not budging. Also in an awkward place so I can't fully get to it. I'm going to try the coke as a helpful poster recommended. If that fails I'll need a scraper of some sort!

If it's really stuck to the ceramic, can't you just get the tip of a small screwdriver under the edge and carefully prise it free? I can't imagine it being so firmly glued that it won't respond to a little gentle persuasion.

No joke, I will need to go to the shop as all I have is 30 cans of coke zero - no full fat coke!

coke might not be a bad shout. Use the toilet brush and pump a lot to get the water down as much as possible and use an old wooden spoon to keep shoving it see if that will dislodge it? i wouldn't use metal in case it scratches it. kids are great aren't they 😂

Apart from growing some balls, sticking your hand in the toilet (which will be clean now as it’s been bleached to shit!) and getting it back
