I never use the laminator

Stilllivinginazoo · 31/05/2021 15:40

We have a laminator
Want a shredder
neeeeed a label maker.....
EDdoes it produce seeds then as dd1 likes it and I've no idea how to pass it on?

halfhope · 31/05/2021 16:20

I have a shredder but it overheats when I use it!

OP posts:
foxessocks · 31/05/2021 16:28

Hello, sorry I'm so absent from the thread these days. I must do better!
ED I've done a small local car boot sale with my mum once but it was rubbish, we only sold a few items. I don't think I'd be brave enough to do a big one though!

I really need a great big declutter I think. I've been doing bits here and there, mainly clothing, but I just can't seem to keep the house under control at the moment and I'm sure too much stuff is the issue. Having said that, obviously the kitchen is still very much a work in progress so we do have kitchen stuff in boxes everywhere still.

We've been out for some of today and then motivation has been thin on the ground. I've tidied up a bit, done 2 LOLs, dh has mopped the new kitchen floor (hooray!) , got the cat a new bowl and mat to make things look neater and popped to the shops for bits to eat with salad tonight. We have no oven for the foreseeable because we got the delivery date totally wrong 🤦‍♀️) however I've also spent a lot of time sitting down on my phone Blush

HillsBesideTheSea · 31/05/2021 16:28

I have a shredder, laminator and label maker I don't use the shredder because it over heats. We have an incinerator for that now.

halfhope · 31/05/2021 16:31

Sounds like you've done lots foxes and you've popped up on the thread quite a bit. Don't worry about dropping in and out - we all do as life ebbs and flows.

The cat must be thrilled with the new bowl - hope you got a lovely feline glare of distain. Hope you get the oven relatively soon. What type are you going for?

SingToTheSky · 31/05/2021 16:43

I don’t have a label maker. I do love my laminator and my comb binder though :o

Flagging a bit this afternoon but I’ve got plenty done today. It’s so so nice seeing the house gradually get more organised!

Dancingtomusic · 31/05/2021 16:44

👋 to everyone helloo...

I would like a label maker- which is a good one to buy?
I hv a laminater i love it- the shedder never gets used here 🙄

Zoo- love the pics! Beautiful. Sorry you hv bad period pains. Sending you a hot water bottle.

Up- thank you for writing about the coast, we are thinking of going tomorrow and now will make sure i pack some warmer clothes. I was going to pack shorts only.

Well my odd 20old symptoms are back and i am struggling to walk. Knees feel spongy, thigh pains, hip joint pain. What on earth is this?
I have so much to do and struggle to stand for long periods and hv been lying down to try rest legs.

Tadas
Dw unloaded
Dw reloaded
Washed up
Packed up wooden blocks- hid the box
Folded and put away 1 large basket of clothes.
Washing machine loaded
Dryer loaded
Lunch made

Watched guys and dolls in bbc2- i loved it!

Loads more to do but legs are not feeling any better.

🍒👋 to everyone!

halfhope · 31/05/2021 17:11

I've had a look at label makers Dancing - brings back memories of working in a library. We had a Brother P-touch with keyboard. Others seem to be wrist mounted.

halfhope · 31/05/2021 17:12

Glad your house is getting much more organised sing but in any case I'm always in awe of how much you get done. How is Miss Cagletini today?

OP posts:
SingToTheSky · 31/05/2021 17:17

Hmmph, we didn’t get to use a label maker at the library! We also often got complaints that we no longer stamped the books (I was a bit sad about that too!)

Cagletini is good thanks - not quite so whingey 🤣 and enjoyed helping me with some cleaning 😁

halfhope · 31/05/2021 17:52

I hate to admit it sing but we had a date stamp too. It was an art college so it was very laid back and creative.

I have power washed the patio and am not going to wash me. I think i have half the muck on me Hmm

I had to run an errand in a super market. Some bloke helpfully told me that it would be horrid to be pregnant in the hot weather. Situation was only save by the poor woman he was with clocking his mistake and desperately trying to shush him. He was having none of it and she was getting more red by the minute. Apparently i have put on a crap ton of weight over lockdown. Not helped by the fact I am all swollen from all the allergy exposures the last couple of months. SadSad
On a plus note I have already lost 2kg in the last month so that is a very good slow wasn;t trying start.

HillsBesideTheSea · 31/05/2021 18:03

Going to be honest i am glad that i can see the funny side of it. The lady couldn't have tried harder if she wanted. But still the weight NEEDS to go.

foxessocks · 31/05/2021 18:28

half yep the cat didn't touch the food in the bowl for the best part of an hour, just gave us daggers Grin
The oven is a rangemaster in slate grey, very excited about it!

In the meantime we do at least have our new windows and doors being fitted on Thursday and we don't even have to do any of that ourselves!

Found the motivation to sort out the piles of laundry in our bedroom, have found the floor! Still so much to sort in general but dh has also hoovered downstairs and worked out why the hoover wasn't working too well, it seems we'd hoovered up some electrical cable and it was stuck. Whoops!

At least the weather is so lovely I'm very much looking forward to my crusty bread and salad for dinner and the dc were happy with sandwiches.

Right better start getting these dc to calm down, ds especially seems so excited about everything at the moment so he just shouts all the time (happy shouts but still!)

foxessocks · 31/05/2021 18:31

Ah hills that sucks Sad but well done on the 2kg already lost 🌟 also people often talk a load of nonsense I'm sure you don't really look pregnant. He should have kept any thoughts to himself anyway.

halfhope · 31/05/2021 18:53

Arghh Hills - what an eejit he was. I am definitely more rounded since lockdown and am not at my fighting weight. I think many people are in the same position. The allergy exposures may have caused you to carry more fluid too. Well done on the 2kg loss.

What a predictable moggy Foxes! Fabulous about the slate grey rangemaster Grin

I have a date stamp but it is so old it ran out of years Grin
I have just cleaned up after working in the garden. Watch it the sun is super strong and I got caught out.

Mc3209 · 31/05/2021 20:58

Home bleugh conquered! Have I mentioned I don't like Monday home bleugh?

Ta da:
💥Kitchen found, DW rotated, few non-DW bits handwashed
💥LOLx4
💥Floors mopped
💥Hoovered. Cleaned out hoover filter 🤢
💥Dusted
💥Zone cleaning: done the hallway and stairs. Antibac to surfaces, proper dusting, tidy up coat rack.
💥Watered all the plants
💥Rubbish out to bins

halfhope · 31/05/2021 21:01

Well done on the home bleurgh MC. I hate it too. Going to do a quick blitz tonight. Bonus points for Hoover filter 😁

OP posts:
IWillWashTheGreenWillow · 31/05/2021 21:18

Ah, Mc I cleaned the hoover filter too! Must be the day for it.

Lovely pictures zoo.

Hills what an idiot that man was. I have drummed into DH that you never, ever assume a woman is pregnant unless the head is actually crowning within your line of sight. We are all rounder following lockdown, I fear. Well done on losing 2kg!

Dancing sorry to hear about the knees. Could it be weather related?

Today has been busy, but productive
❤️ Pancakes for breakfast
🧡 Helped DS3 empty one Trofast from his room
💛 Wrestled it down two flights of stairs with DH and put it under the stairs (fits perfectly)
💚 Put all the Nerf guns we found in the Weapons Box in the garden (everyone has one of those, right?)
💙 Lunch in the garden
💜 Cleared kitchen, put DW on, hung two loads of washing out
🤎 Cleared second Trofast unit with DS3 and wrestled into music room
🖤 Hoovered DS3's room and put new bedside table in place. He has so much space now!
❤️ Sat outside for a bit sewing while DS3 and DD played in the pool
🧡 Broached the subject of getting rid of the Ladybird books with DM and DSis
💛 DH made steak and salad for tea
💚 Cleaned the kitchen again
💙 Hoovered the whole house (today's bit of home bleugh) and washed hoover filter
💜 Brought the washing off the line
🤎 Sorted 5 loads of dry washing while DS3 was in the bath and handed them out
🖤 Swapped our 9.5tog duvet for the 4.5tog in the hope of not melting.

Now trying to stay awake long enough to plan tomorrow and start a June thread for us...

🍒👋

halfhope · 31/05/2021 21:25

Thank you for volunteering to do the June thread Willow. Will open the naughty corner where we can languish merrily before May's end. Fire pit, marshmallows, trifle, churros, drinks of choice.

Thanks for all the welcomes everyone!
Lovely pictures zoo!
willow I'm hoping some of your guys energy will rub off on me!
hills what a silly man. I had a lady ask me when my baby was due...on my first meeting at slimming world Confused😂
sing i got a stamp for one of my early birthdays and made little pockets in the front of my books so I could play libraries! Mine has been shut for about 3 years now! First it was a broken roof, then covid and now something else. People round here are really cross as it's connected to the gym and council office, and because you can travel to any of the branches to use the gym they're still changing people their direct debits! I think the closest one is 13 miles away and one bus there and back a day Confused

TaDa
DW done twice and ready to do in the morning
3x loads of washing done and hung out to dry
1x load ready to go in the morning
Buffet tea made, and very nice it was too.
Cleaned out fridge
Packed a picnic for DH and Ds2 to go fishing.
Asda delivery cand
Prepped Ds1 for his hospital appointment tomorrow to get his feet looked at. The GP thinks he may have plantar facilitis (sp?) Think turned into a half hour convo about the new Marvel area being made at Disney world, specifically, a restaurant that is selling one of the world's most expensive sandwiches ($100 but serves 8) and all the food is either giant or tiny according to ds, based on Antman and the Wasp Grin

My aunties taking my mum out to a charity bookshop that does sandwiches and cakes tomorrow, so I'm just writing a list of some titles for her to look out for for me.

Just me and Ds2 and Ds3 til after lunch tomorrow. They don't stop and are sooo draining sometimes. I might do some cakes, and need to order a new paddling pool. Hopefully we'll get out tomorrow afternoon
