Well I had written DLMS on my ta da list at 5.22pm, as Cagletini had been utterly vile... sadly this continued for a few more hours and I did in fact LMS a couple of times before she finally went to sleep. That kid has serious staying power

Needless to say Flying hasn’t happened much this evening.

That's alright sing the only reason i did not LMS today is because I told them to fuck off and stay out my way until i left the house. And then spent a very pleasent afternoon/evening in the company of sheep whilst studying.

Chick ah, 2 and 4 months, I remember that stage. Or rather, I don't, it's all one endless blur of feeds and cuddles and mucky bottoms!

Hills can you tell the people you aren't superwoman and they need to shift for themselves for a bit while you focus on your exams? Hope the Teen has mostly recovered and is swearing off whatever it was for the foreseeable.

🧡 DS3 volunteered to do the dog walk, and did it all by himself without panicking!
Rest of things:
💚 Gave into DS3's blandishments and set up the paddling pool. He was in it almost all afternoon, so very much worth it. We'll leave it up for the summer now, there's a cover for overnight to keep it safe.
💙 Made lunch. DNLMS despite DD finishing the ham yesterday and failing to get any more out of the freezer 🤦
💚 Got Thai green curry out of the freezer for tea
💜 Wallpapered the bathroom, with a break in the middle for coffee and an ice cream in the garden with DH who was gardening and supervising DS3 in his splashing about
🤎 Walked the dog with DH
🖤 Made extra Thai green curry sauce for tea
❤️ Got washing off the line, remade our bed
🧡 Had a bath to get the worst of the wallpaper paste off. Did not fall asleep in it, honest. Really, really love my new bathroom.
💛 Evening routine: Kitchen cleared, DW on, DS3 chased up to bed and tucked in.

Going to sleep now before I drop my phone on my nose in bed!

Nope because they have booked in workmen who need access to rooms that only i can deal with. I have very strong feelings. They are going to see if said work men can be shifted... But the work desperately desperately needs doing. So yeah. good plan, hiccups in execution.

Willow oh, I like that dusting device! I got a feather duster, but it's loosing small tips of those feathers every now and again.. 🥴 which defeats the point slightly.

Hazel how is the new house?

No flying for me today. It was a Hen party day 🥳 It was so good to socialise and see my friends again (even though I wasn't drinking and I had to bring my baby with me). I even managed to get sunburned! Will have a proper farmer's tag happening 😁
Now all showered, baby is sleeping, I am in bed and ready to scroll the internet.

Watched a couple of episodes of "Filthy House SOS". It wouldn't take much for me to slip from mess to chaos to squalor.

The Cupboard of Doom is now packed to the gunnels on one side, and it's also easier to get at stuff by sliding along the wall on the other side. Straightened out a huge mess of cables and chargers that had somehow twisted itself into a ball under several unopened building sets and models. Unopened because I had forgotten they were there.

The living-room piles are sorted and in the cupboard and on the shelves, and I hoovered properly into all the corners for the first time in weeks. Several LOLs and up on pulleys.

Weedkillered the side path and at the back door. Crows pull the moss out of the gutters then drop it on to the path where it kind of mulches the weeds on the paviers. The mix of sun and rain then results in massive weeds in a matter of days. The bastard crows have also been robbing nests. There was a beautiful broken empty eggshell in the front garden. I cook three eggs every school morning without a moment's thought, but this one made me very sad.

Trying to keep my nerve with the back garden and No-Mow May. We have small birds nesting in one corner, feeding off the wasps' nest in another corner. Bees are going mad for our dandelions which are quickly turning to clocks. Saw a couple of butterflies the other day.

Today is mostly more of the same, with a supermarket delivery thrown into the mix. Aahh chocolate! Tomorrow is a day off school which simply adds to LB's confusion. So I want things nice and calm for him. Some LAs stopped all their single days off and have full fortnight holidays during the year, and full five-day weeks all term long. I think this would be better than all the stop-start of single days off.

Yesterday, I spent the day in the garden at my aunts house. Kids were given lots of games and super fun things to play with. So they are exhusted and still asleep.
My dad visited my house to drop off a swing for the kids and had commented that I need to declutter and tidy my house. I did explain i had a interview this week for another job in the same company. I asked the recuiter if there where any other jobs and she just forwarded my name and cv. Interview on friday was much more difficult as I didnt understand the job- (dh did not help as he is a twat.) But I loovved making my ppt! As I got to improve on my previous ones, this one had pages that turned like a book. I had cried this week as I was so upset I didnt get the other job ( thank you everyone for your kind words) (hug) But on the other hand- i dont know how i will manage both kids, housework and job. But lets see if I get it next week. I have no idea how it went. First question they asked was why i had a gap in employment? I listed, got married, moved house, started new job, both parents sick in hospital, ones operation went wrong. Got told I couldnt have kids unless left teaching. Then had my babies. (There was more stuff like my mum passed away but i just couldnt say it.)
Dh has started to try and tidy but keep putting things in the wrong place and i have to move around anyway.
Major decluttering and tidying needs to happen here but I also want to have fun with the kids.

Need toast and tea. Might have to get up.

I remember living room floor being MIA assumed buried ,but I'd move mountains to be back in that phase again nowwith glitter in my hair and cake mix/glue/mud on our clothes!!

Not getting up yet. DH brought up my meds (and realised I’m almost out of one so just ordered new ones, will probably have to miss a few days) but I’m hiding for a bit - def need some space from the smallest child today. I honestly can’t believe how awful her behaviour was all evening 😭 my arms are killing from having to pick her up to move her a lot. If I believed in that sort of thing I’d be sure there was some kind of demonic possession going on 🤔 hopefully it was just over tiredness though, she seems ok this morning.

Due to aforementioned arms I don’t think I’ll be doing any decluttering today. Bit annoying as I hate to break my stride. But have to be careful cos stupid fibro blah blah.

I have been keeping a list of some tasks to delegate to the rest though, so perhaps I shall simply instruct people instead :o

Dancing since you asked so nicely, here is my bathroom! Sadly no roll top bath, I'd love one but funds won't permit and it wouldn't really suit the age of the house. Also, the creakier my hips get the more I fear I'd get stuck in one 🤣. I'm sorry you've been upset about not getting the first job, but if people are coming back on the strength of your CV alone that's brilliant!

MrsTidy you're doing really well! I know what you mean about eggshells. You've just given me a minor panic in case tomorrow wasn't a BH in Scotland (where DS3's online school is based) and he didn't get the day off, but luckily it is. He only has to do his Computer Science homework for tomorrow, the teacher takes no account of any holidays at all. He had one due on Easter Sunday! 🤦🤷 Hope things can be calm for LB and the week goes smoothly.

Hills I quite see how making appts for workmen without reference to you, who has to manage it, would be totally counter productive. Hope you can move them and get some quiet time with sheep and books today too.

Zoo sorry you have to miss the trip to your natural home (😉 see what I did there?) but lovely you don't even have to manage food. Hope DD2 wakes up in a sunny mood and you get some time to yourself and in the sunshine.

Mc sounds like the hen night was fab, so pleased you had a good time! I love my new duster-thingy, I confess to buying an Upstairs one and a Downstairs one . I like that it's recycled plastic too. My feather duster also leaks feathers everywhere so I am keeping it for ceilings only and the long drop on the stairs.

Chick how are you doing with the idea of routine?

Today was supposed to be a lie in, but DH and I have both been awake since 6.30! Total fail there.

DH has just gone to run DD to work as the trains are up the spout, then we will have coffee in the garden and make A Plan. I know I said no more decorating, but if I could just paint the window wall in our bedroom then I could feel like I've started, and wash the curtains...

🌙ordered a few essentials in Asda sale - joggers for DS and underwear for Cagletini (afraid I’ve wimped out of dying her vests this time... too much else to do!)
🌙removed a few new t-shirts from DS’ drawer (I overestimated how many would fit, so I’ll keep some back until he’s outgrown more of the old ones - might do the same with the joggers as some old ones do just about fit)

🌙unpacked new mattress protectors to air out for Caglets to use tomorrow when they wash bedding (must remember!)
🌙made dinner for younger two and cleared up after
🌙scrubbed/wiped half of kitchen counter (stacked dishes on other half)
🌙got Cagletini to sleep... two hour task!
🌙tidied up a bit
🌙forced myself to relax with a pizza from deliveroo and hoarders on telly, and went to bed just before DH and DD1 got back (they’d been watching the football at DSS’ flat)

Zoo- thank you. I needed to here that as my brain is telling me to send the kids to have fun with Dh and to stay home and clean/declutter. Hmmm, may need to rethink how I do this... hope you get to have a lovely walk zoo.

Oh yes yesterday I also prewashed a new tray I bought the other week to put in the fridge. Planning for all cheese to go in there, rather than just shoved in the fridge any old how which means some languishes at the back etc. I quite like the idea of having various other trays in there but starting small as much like with routine we just don’t do Big Changes as a family. These things need to be gradual! I will attempt to mark out the top fridge door drawer as purely for butter and eggs

Ugh I’m hungry. Might actually have to move, although a request for breakfast in bed seems entirely reasonable to me, no?

Dancing I confess I am almost more excited by the cupboards than the wallpaper (not really). We had no built in storage before, just a Trofast in the eves that always looked scruffy no matter what I did.

The wallpaper is also going in our bedroom, on the wall behind the headboard. That will be much easier to do, because it's only going from the picture rail down (so a 6' drop not a 10' drop) and I won't need a ladder, or to do the tops of windows.

Coco pops eaten without moving from under my duvet (well unless you count sitting up). Done a bit of admin from my phone too, and updated DH on the Awful Evening (it’s such a rare thing for him to be doing something nice - rarer still that Chelsea were actually winning :o - so I decided not to tell him at the time!). Just realised it’s 10am though so I’d best check if the Caglets are awake - I hear stirrings from one of them anyway (DD1 has such trouble sleeping even with her prescribed melatonin that letting her sleep even this late is a Bad Idea).

Dancing thanks lovely 💐 it’s testament to my amazing drugs 🤣 that I actually feel like yesterday’s list wasn’t even that good. So many housework tasks feel a lot easier now. I had really hoped to get more decluttering done yesterday - sometimes Cagletini can be engaged in helping me as she enjoys getting little tasks to do, like the other day she was sorting through a BRC finding Christmas decorations and throwing away broken ones 🤣

Oh good lord I can hear epic whingeing again - I’m staying upstairs for sure. Caglets are awake though.
