No delayed exit for clutter - March Flylady Thread 2019 for fledglings!

ChicCroissant · 28/02/2019 09:40

What would a combo of exit and clutter be, clexit? Exclutter? Perhaps we should just stick with declutter ....

Welcome to the March Flylady thread, we’d love to have you with us as we chat and work our way through our houses in March. Flylady uses the zone method of cleaning so we’ll be focusing on a different area of the house each week – we will post daily links to the Launch Pad on the Flylady website which gives all the details of the current Zone, daily missions and babysteps.

Newbies are always welcome so feel free to join in at any time. Flylady does recommend decluttering your house first, so if you are not ready for the cleaning routines yet it’s fine to focus on the decluttering bit – add the babysteps in if you wish.

:o we did endless laundry today and pretty much caught up, as we needed a few more bits for the holiday. We are mostly ready but my god trying to take two kids and a baby on holiday just for four days with no car 😱😱😱 feel like we’ve packed enough for an army trekking the Great Wall

Had my gym induction, it was ok and I have a plan for myself going forward, VERY gentle though!

TooStressyTooMessy · 24/03/2019 22:36

Chic Grin.

Have a great holiday Cag! Good news on gym induction too.

Have also done a lot of laundry this weekend Hmm.

Stilllivinginazoo · 24/03/2019 22:54

Have a safe trip and lots of fun cag

ChicCroissant · 24/03/2019 23:57

Cagliostro · 25/03/2019 06:01

Thanks lovelies! I may not pop in much because no WiFi 😱😭😂

I just woke up randomly but I don’t mind because Cagletini is still asleep in her own bed where I put her at 10pm 😱 normally she would have woken at least twice by now. Yay! So I feel a little refreshed at least.

Got some last minute packing/checking to do, think we are pretty much set but a couple of confirmation emails to print that sort of thing. Don’t have to leave here till 11 anyway.

foxessocks · 25/03/2019 06:54

How exciting cag have such a lovely time all of you!

Stilllivinginazoo · 25/03/2019 07:32

Wow cag andStarfor cagletini!!
Chic Grin at your laundry chart

Lisette1940 · 25/03/2019 08:45

*chic - that's hilarious. Me versus laundry 🤣
Cags have a great time. Just totally switch off.

Living room this week. Gosh it's dusty. Needs a good clean.

Cagliostro · 25/03/2019 09:06

Thank you all!

Decided not to do any school work this morning either. Total break for five days.

Have printed booking confirmation for resort and trampolining place, and am downloading some stuff from Spotify/Netflix to lessen the blow of no WiFi 😳😂 and collected some games and paper together. Pretty much done now I think. Might get an earlier train.

ChicCroissant · 25/03/2019 09:16

I am never packed early for holiday Cag, Star for you today!

Have done some handwashing and spun it in the machine, which is now beeping to say it has finished. Will hang that up and put a load in (still battling the laundry ...)

Another lovely day here, hope the weather is good where you are too. DH is off this week and we are on the hunt for new fencing envy my party lifestyle yet again, fledglings so will probably go out in a bit. Catch you later!

Stilllivinginazoo · 25/03/2019 18:28

Oh.my.goodness.how I've made it thru today without bloodshed I do not know

So,ongoing saga of bank card issues deepens as cards were sent 11th march.more ordered now should be herewithin 7 working days...
Onto try and get credit into smart meter...two calls that cut me off using all mobile credit.dodgy crackly landline got thru and told go post office.take D's post office.busy and between a big Waitrose and pharmacy, busy car park at front.ds quivering as all on main road.they say no such thing, need ref number.i suggest customer number.they say that might work.trail back, nope not what's needed.home again and told dont need one.back again and told nope ,not without ref number as can't credit the account.back home rang eon again.varely clinging last vestages sanity I made very clear I wasn't happy.she said it's a epay voucher, all post offices do them.i point out I've try twice,my D's at breaking point.emergency credit about run out.i need good shop once this is sorted before get DC from school.its now midday and I'm 3hours into hell...she offer a £5 goodwill gesture.i said as I have £15 deficit on meter that still won't give me credit...tbh she was lovely and did her best.i said I'd try another p.o(40 mins not 20 away)she offered ring them but I said I wanted to know I could easily get this sorted(learned at this point all other smart meter providers offer emergency keys in case can't get online)she said like ring me at 415 to check I was sorted.dpturn up and drove me there.walk into tiny p.o(local ones big and has one at a till as well as p.o counter)and was out with voucher in minutes!!got it into my account via code put into online account.all good.now 1pm.shop.quick sandwich go get lil zoo!!
Eon did ring me back, said she spoke p.o in question, staff on counters know how,but not on tillsHmmshe's flag it up,and applying the goodwill £5 to account
What a fucking day!!
No flying done,exhausted.
DS fret about camhs tom,and meet at school wed

SOS Send chocolate,sanity,anything!!!

foxessocks · 25/03/2019 18:50

zoo honestly that's ridiculous! £5 good will not enough!!

We've been out for the day today and only got back at 5, my parents picked dd up so she had a whale of a time with them. No moaning about snacks like she does with me, my mum said she didn't ask for any food whatsoever! Shock all she wanted was a hot chocolate.

Managed to do a tiny bit of the home bleugh when I got back

Ta da
Daily routine and s&s bathroom
Sorted quick dinner for the dc
Tidied up dinner stuff
Hoover downstairs
Dusted desk upstairs and all the downstairs furniture
Changed towels, tea towels , cloths etc etc
Emptied all the bins
Mopped kitchen and downstairs loo

Dc are in the bath so we've just got to do bed time stuff then food shopping coming later so got to put that all away.

Exciting times, I've got a new stairs basket so no more piles of stuff all the way up the stairs that gets ignored anyway Hmm it goes in the basket and every time you go upstairs you take the basket and empty it in the right places. Obviously I'm the only person who has done this so far but it's more enjoyable than trying to carry armfuls of stuff! My mum says I am going "tidy person mad" but I don't think so looking at my house still!

Cagliostro · 25/03/2019 19:16

Blimey zoo what a palaver, I agree £5 is pathetic and I’m really not one to complain about stuff generally

We are here and there is WiFi! Not the most reliable but hey! Also Bluetooth speaker in the ceiling so I’m very glad I downloaded our main Spotify playlist :o

The trampoline park was outrageously fun, very tiring on the legs though.

Stilllivinginazoo · 25/03/2019 19:18

I'd need a stair skipfoxes amount crap gets left on mine!!

Dp wanted some cheese and crackers and flopped to bed as was at work last night lil zoo opt giraffe(sainsbo tiger)roll with red pepper hummus and lactofree cream cheese) peppers, apple and yogurt.ds got her sore throat and wanted pasta, peas and cream cheese.me and dd1 also have low key scratchy throat...

Anyone heard about peanut butter marmite being launched??I'm livid..we all HUGE marmiters and if it becomes an allergy risk a Facebook campaign maybe imminent...

TooStressyTooMessy · 25/03/2019 20:17

zoo, sounds like a super stressful day AngryFlowersCake. I had heard about the marmite peanut butter but have to say I hadn’t thought about the allergen issue. Hopefully they have some plans in place?????

Wey hey for WiFi Cag.

A stair basket is absolutely an exciting event foxes, even if only you use it Grin.

Hope you had some success with the fencing Chic!

Not the best time here after gymnastics with a challenging evening and bedtime but both kids now in bed and nearly asleep, DH is home and tea is ready in the oven. The shower is calling me then PJs then laundry folding. Rock and roll.

Lisette1940 · 25/03/2019 21:29

zoo Angry in your behalf
🍫🍫🍫🍫

House looks really clean. Living room tomorrow as hall done today.

ChicCroissant · 25/03/2019 23:54

I have a stair basket - the good news is that I have no trouble filling it. The bad news is that I never empty it ... you may be more disciplined, foxes Grin

We did find some nice fencing at last, thanks! Lots of laundry today but no ironing and now so tired just want to fall into bed.

zoo that is beyond frustrating.

Waves to Lisette, stressy and the holidaying Cag

Bowerbird5 · 26/03/2019 07:22

Oh zoo what an awful morning yesterday. Very frustrating. £5 better than nothing but a bit for trouble. Maybe that is all she can give.

chic love the diagram I could inter change laundry for ironing. Did start yesterday.

Cags hope you have a lovely holiday.

I just managed clean bathroom sink, toilet and shower doors after my shower. Did some ironing. Still need to do boudoir. Sitting room tidy and was dusted on Sunday so I will pretend it is boudoir this week.

Feeling a bit better now antibiotics have kicked in and went to work but wished I hadn’t. It was a bit chaotic. Right need to move as busy day ahead. Will try and pop in later.

Stocks up naughty corner for zoo🍩🍮🍫🍿☕️🍩🍮🍫🧁🍰🥧🍦🍷

Bowerbird5 · 26/03/2019 07:24

Oh I have a stair basket like chics🤭

HillsBesideTheSea · 26/03/2019 08:32

Peanut butter marmite - what in actual fresh hell is the point of that?!
Angry

Bastarding companies who always have to change the sodding recipe without a thought to allergies!!!!

ChicCroissant · 26/03/2019 09:14

Bower and I are doing stair baskets right Blush Good to hear the antibiotics are working for you as well.

I don't see the point of the merger myself either Hills, sounds more like an April Fool than a popular product.

Zoo hope the appointment goes well, I think you said it might be a tough one this week?

I'm off out for the morning, catch you later.
