June's arrived too soon! Catch up with the Fledgling Fly thread ... .

If you are strugging with C.H.A.O.S. (can't have anyone over syndrome) and S.T.U.F.F. (something that undermines family fun) then this is the thread where we (loosely) follow the step-by-step Flylady housekeeping system (in our own, unique, relaxed style) with lots of chat, support and wine and cake along the way.

This is where, from the first of the month (seriously, HOW is it June already?!), we follow – loosely – the rules of FlyLady [see website here ]. (Pls ignore Flylady's barftastic language, and we suggest NOT signing up to her emails as there are rather a lot of them. All the info you need will be posted here on a daily basis.)

Helpful info on getting started here.

We adopt a three-pronged approach:

-start or repeat baby steps

  • repeat baby steps + do 15 mins a day decluttering in the current zone or area (yes, just 15 mins focused work a day makes a difference!)

and/or

  • reinforce babysteps and do daily missions if you have finished decluttering.

[And if you are really enthusiastic and have finished decluttering - you can go on to detailed deep cleaning in each zone.]

The launch pad is the place from which you can reach most other useful areas of the site: here.

NB
This is a very long-running thread so we may appear cliquey but we really aren't! All newcomers, long-termers, lurkers and intermittent returnees not only welcome to join in but positively encouraged to do so!

Another NB
Start where you are at!. There is no need to worry about being perfect – perfectionism = paralysis! There is no such thing as ‘falling behind’ with FlyLady, if you miss anything, just move on and continue as normal the next day.

Any questions, don't hesitate to ask!

Happy Flying one and all!

Thanks Zoo about nuts, they were in oil, like peanut butter and looked ok. Perhaps he was right on that though. Still he could have asked.Told him he had left potato cakes out of date so hadn't really cleaned fridge out and the milk he left on it's side had leaked all over the shelf.HA!

Still annoyed as a spinner thing I should have been sending to Africa must have been in amongst my mail. Can't find it anywhere. Will make sure I keep my mail elsewhere. Tempted to throw his out but that would just be petty.

Ta Das
bed made.
Shower screen cleaned down
Washing done and out on line.
Vaccumed
Washed kitchen floor last night.

De clutter a few things.
going to have to go back down to house as I have left something vital to my life. 1 1\2 hrs to get there was about to leave when DD rang and now i have potted about doing stuff. Great now there is thunder. might wait till tomorrow then. Damn I wanted to wake up and go at 6:30am. I woke yesterday but not today.

SC I have felt like that with high blood pressure. They don't know what is causing mine either. It comes and goes.

Bit miffed that no one mentioned my herding sheep on list of TA Das I thought it was quite impressive at my age as they were going a lick. I shot across church yard and headed them back. M 's kids are working now and she was trying to move them on her own with dad as helper, who must be near 80. Farmers lives are hard.

Now I want cheese on toast. i'm not allowed it. aargh!
I made sweet potato chips last night ate them with tuna mayo. This is why I like living on my own some of the time. Happy days wont be lasting much longer.

Bugger all achieved since I got home, other than a fruitless call to Royal Mail.

I feel that paralysing anxiety that renders one incapable of doing a damn thing. Don’t get me wrong I am super happy/grateful/excited/relieved. But also trying to remember that technically the people ahead of us could be different on each house and thus if they both accept then we don’t get either. It’s unlikely but not out of the question as not everyone bids on every house.

But the panic, OMG, so much to think about and sort out and pay for. All with a newly mobile baby. FUUUUUUUUUUUUCK.

Oh but The Greatest Showman was absolutely brilliant BTW. Completely worth the hype. I cried twice! And have been singing the songs to myself all afternoon.

OK scratch that. We just got a phone call. One of the houses is ours if we want it.
