Or try to anyway!

All welcome! I am struggling to stay awake so I’ll do the proper thread stuff tomorrow, but if you’d like some encouragement and chat while you get your house sorted then this is the place for you. We follow flylady in a delightfully lax sort of fashion.

Special thanks to zoo for the title idea 💐 😘

Hi,
I'm in my bed already. Feel shattered. Fell asleep at about 7:45-8:30.
This morning.
Washing.
Cleaned shower again so now sparkling. Swish and swipe basin. Toilet quite clean. Need to do it and wash floor tomorrow.
Folded some clothes.
Pegged out washing.
Been busy at work.

Went to nurse today. Regular twice yearly check re asthma etc. Looking at how I have been this year she has upped my meds. Considered hay fever tabs and going to try new. Explained about tiredness and wondering now if it is to do with my body fighting all the time. So maybe new meds will mean improved stamina.chatted about stress at work. Example given today made her😳 at behaviour of some kids. Must check for bruises tomorrow as need recording.
Three people gave me cake today. I shouldn't be eating cake.
Right I'm off to sleep soon. My legs ache.

Bowerbird5 · 10/05/2018 21:36

Hills sounds a good idea. Pass him over and go for a walk...to the nearest pub.

GoingGoingGoth · 10/05/2018 22:50

Has everyone seen their predicting really high pollen levels this weekend?

Got the bookcase built this afternoon but because of late delivery it wasn't finished by the time DD got home. WHo seeing her bedroom said "look at this mess!" In my defense it was mainly her mess just in different places.

So we went through all her books sorting them into bookcase, under bed box for those she wanted to keep but didn't need out and bag for charity shop. With the toy & clothes clear out over the last week I think I have 4 bags to drop off. RESULT!

She loves her new mattress but unfortunately I didn't realise the lampshade needs wiring in not just hooking on the current bulb socket thingy so that's a job to arrange. But her room is looking more suitable for a teen than a child.

While I was waiting for the deliver I prepped huge pile of veg for dinner tonight so we all got a good feed.

So I feel quite productive today and will be asleep in 3,2,....

Stilllivinginazoo · 11/05/2018 05:25

Ivegotfamilyandidrinkcupsoftea · 11/05/2018 05:28

Attempt at remembering yesterdays ...

3 loads washed
3 loads dry
Cot stripped and remade
Dd bed stripped and remade
Shopping picked up
School run and all that x2
Kitchen swept
90% pots washed
Table and highchair scrubbed
Bins out
Washing away

Have been awake over 2 hours already thank you very much ds3 Sad

foxessocks · 11/05/2018 06:36

I'm awake even though I have no need to be because of an annoying bird right outside my window Grin

foxessocks · 11/05/2018 06:38

I just heard someone about mummy but I don't know which child it was Confused

foxessocks · 11/05/2018 06:43

My list

To do
Swish and swipe downstairs loo

Under the sink
Pay bill (still didn't do it!)
Move more in may as have forgotten last few days and I was trying to make it part of my routine
Declutter car and hoover it

Dd has a friend over after nursery today who hasn't come over before so hope that goes ok.

It was ds shouting mummy he is now saying it over and over.

Ivegotfamilyandidrinkcupsoftea · 11/05/2018 06:44

Cute Smile ds3 doesnt shout anyone when he wakes up, he just fucking screams like hes being tortured. Much appreciated at 3.30am.

foxessocks · 11/05/2018 06:51

ivegot ds has recently starting saying "help me" when he wakes up! It's either that or mummy / daddy / up / down / Weetabix / milk or just pleeeeeeaase. Cute but he does like to repeat one word over and over and OVER.

He has gone quiet again now though wonder if he has fallen back to sleep...

Ivegotfamilyandidrinkcupsoftea · 11/05/2018 07:01

Bless him Smile attempting to get ds3 to sleep as hes now tired. Fancy that ....

Hope those ill pick up today.
Have fun.

Cagliostro · 11/05/2018 07:33

Morning all.

Nobody else is up yet. Caglets both went to their own beds, DS took a bucket but I think he’s over the worst. Others haven’t been sick so I think it may have been down to the coughing. They are upset they can’t do sports club, they are missing the other two sessions as well due to trips. Not sure about ballet yet.

Expecting no flying today and definitely less home ed! Probably just do iPad based stuff today, they are really enjoying the Japanese (duolingo and various quiz apps). I need to make some cards with the syllables they’ve learned so far and find more vocab but I don’t expect the baby will let me.

Oh crap and I’ve just realised I have an appt this afternoon, it’s a long journey as well 😭 at least DH is off so I can leave the older two with him.

TooStressyForMyOwnGood · 11/05/2018 13:24

Thanks Ive! Not much declutttering done but have had quite a successful tidy up. Moving onto the piles of clean laundry needing putting away now.

Need to get the kids much more involved but I really struggle with this. Reward charts and stuff get started and forgotten about.

HillsBesideTheSea · 11/05/2018 13:32

i've ds went through a stand of 3am ish waking, I used to find if I just shove weetabix into him whilst he was in bed he would go back to sleep. He was waking up so early because he was growing and hungry. Probably a completely different issue for you but just a thought.

Today we are deep cleaning the utility room oh fucking joy although the decision has been taken to only deep clean the bits we need to get straight and we will do the rest when we finish with the building work for the summer. with a flick over what we have done today because the biggest aim of today is to get properly organised so that things have a home. Needless to say no one is going to be able to find anything for weeks HmmGrin so the solution is laminated labels as these will help with the long term situation in the house.

So I get to break out the laminator later - woo hoo. Just the question is before or after I want walk out because ds is being fixed and argumentative in his thinking. That said his room is being kept tidy so I am rather impressed atm.
