Or try to anyway!

All welcome! I am struggling to stay awake so I’ll do the proper thread stuff tomorrow, but if you’d like some encouragement and chat while you get your house sorted then this is the place for you. We follow flylady in a delightfully lax sort of fashion.

Special thanks to zoo for the title idea 💐 😘

I wouldn't worry Cag - too hot to get in to any serious Flying here - ta for links anyway!

Only ta das achieved:
Emptied dw
Quick s &s
Boring 'work' work which didn't help headache
More tidying of boudoir
Beds stripped and changed (normally do Weds nowadays but away tomorrow)
More sorting of dirty and clean laundry
Washing loads x 4
2 hung up 2 in td
Folded mahoosive pile of pants and towels
Packed 2 parcels
Cauliflower and chickpea curry morphed in to tomato pasta dish
Dining room table hot spots
Jettisoned dead flowers and washed vase
Filled dw and cleaned down kitchen again

Saltcrust · 08/05/2018 20:36

Great that Lil Zoo's results came back ok Zoo!

Cagliostro · 08/05/2018 21:00

True sc it’s still crazy hot here, no flying really.

Long day. Workshops were useful. Got some leads but the battles ahead are intimidating to say the least. Cagletini charmed the socks off everyone at the workshops :o

Hope the new diet works zoo DD’s throat swab came back clear so now we don’t know whether to finish ABs or not 🤔

SC I play a very passive aggressive game of how many empty toilet rolls until... Worst it got to was 7 best was 2. Hints are starting to be gotten. I think the tally chart of how many until gone was the last straw. Grin kept me amused and not killing any one though

No flying has been done.
I have refused to bake a cake, have bought something for the only person who really cares
apparently the mouse mat I gave ds to borrow is just wrong

ds has a serious case of the serious grumps. By god does he not handle frustrations well. Hmm Ah well at least it is only adults next door.

Cagliostro · 08/05/2018 22:26

ta da
✅workshops
✅paid for a home ed trip
✅exercise DVD (some of it until baby woke up)
✅cleaned out fridge and washed veg drawers
✅scanned shopping
✅home ed - fit some basic daily stuff in before we left, and optimistically gave them some workbook pages to do at the event, which they actually did, despite the noise and crowds - really pleased with that!
✅read to the Caglets

Same here Hills! Grin I once got to nine but it secretly suited my purposes as I was using them for sweet pea planting Wink

Great list Cag!

I am off to wreck2 at crack of sparrows tomorrow for a bit (if I feel ok) so waves to everyone! Happy Flying!

GoingGoingGoth · 08/05/2018 23:11

Gah - don't start me on toilet rolls. I usually crack when it gets to 4. May see if I can out wait them on this. I have broken DD of the habit of leaving her breakfast bowl on the side which is something.

Had a nice afternoon, Tuesday friend (I like my routines) was round and we did some sample decoupage boxes for my residential home craft classes this month. DD joined in and quite pleasant. She's got quite a craft talent when she wants.

Rest of the day was the usual stuff, I did manage a little walk as it was such a nice evening but I'm leaving the ironing until the morning.

And I've just realised half my craft cupboard is on my bed so I better get that cleared.

Stilllivinginazoo · 09/05/2018 04:43

We are currently up to 12 empty loo roll tubes.
There is approx bin bag washing under D's/dd2 beds
I am cracking......

Saltcrust · 09/05/2018 04:53

Thanks Zoo (waves). Don't crack! Grin

I have been bitten in night by industrious mozzie, seem to be having some sort of reaction to the bites. Oh joy.

(SC puts large platter of croissants in naughty corner along with big bowl of berries for everyone to share, fills teapot, tiptoes out with suitcase.)

Ivegotfamilyandidrinkcupsoftea · 09/05/2018 05:09

Morning all

I too am the loo roll fairy

I wonder what this medical condition is that all our families have which make them unable to dispose of one!

WhoKnowsWhereTheW1neGoes · 09/05/2018 07:08

We're up to two toilet roll middles at the moment, they seem to be invisible to everyone except me. DD leaves her cereal bowl on the table every morning too .

I really should get up. Bank holiday weeks are always hectic as I work part time including Mondays but as the office shuts then I have to make up my hours later in the week. Wednesdays have a particularly complicated evening schedule of activities too, however in the midst of it all I usually get the house to myself for half an hour in the evening.

Stilllivinginazoo · 09/05/2018 07:33

I just found what looked like a huge maggot in my food cupboard

Googled it and suspect it's a moth larvae.mr Google says I have to throw all food away and scrub them bleach it out

Stilllivinginazoo · 09/05/2018 07:34

Not scrub them(not cleaning insects)then as in the cupboard!!

Ugh Zoo surely food will be okay if it is in sealed containers? And just what godforsaken time were you up at?

Ta-dahs
Beds
Swish & swipe
DD to school
Ironing

And it's a miracle - I have a washing free day

foxessocks · 09/05/2018 10:09

Ta da
Some daily routine - dishwasher, kitchen sides, rubbish, washing on
Dropped dd at nursery

To do
Finish daily routine
Swish and swipe bathroom
15 minutes decluttering kitchen
Fridge clear out
Anti procrastination - pay bill, update some details for work

I have finally decided to take my mum up on her offer of looking after the dc every now and then for me to catch up with work. I try and fit it in evenings and weekends but it just isn't working as dh is also studying then. The dc will be more than happy with my mum but for some reason I feel terribly guilty I think because I never did it with dd so I feel bad for ds and because I don't want to take up my mum's free time.

Anyway in the meantime going to try and do some work this evening but already dreading it as it'll be after the dc are in bed and I just want to collapse in a heap at that point!

Why do I over complicate everything in my head? This would be dh response to this issue - oh I don't have quite enough time to do everything, mum has offered help, accept help, do work, say a big thank you and buy mum presents Grin

Stilllivinginazoo · 09/05/2018 10:13
