Right you horrible lot stop nattering so much nah it wouldn't be fun if you did

So you have wandered into this corner of MN were the fledglings - a long running but very friendly group welcomes newbies and follows the flylady way to try to get decluttered and on top of the boring stuff in order to have more time for the fun other boring but essential stuff

No idea whose turn it was to run the thread this month but here it the thread and we can figure it out from there.

Thanks fool and wow never knew people would buy my rubbish - i also have loads of posh coffee jars! Would take a lot of effort though! As for perfume bottles I have lots but only one empty atm I wasn't sure whether to save them and looking at that link I think I will then I can sell as a bundle once I have more empties.

Dd still not asleep! Her and dh are chatting in her room. He hasn't been around much of late due to work and studying so think they're having a catch up! Don't want to be mean and say look at the time...but she will be grumy tomorrow.

Hope everybody is well and had a good day.

Stilllivinginazoo · 22/03/2018 20:02

TooStressyForMyOwnGood · 22/03/2018 20:40

Hello all, I am shattered after two busy days at work so am hoping to get DD1 whinis still up to bed and then collapse. I’ll catch up with the thread later / tomorrow. I’m still ok to do March thread unless anyone has a burning desire to do it.

Weary wing flaps to all.

TooStressyForMyOwnGood · 22/03/2018 20:40

That should say ‘DD1 who is still up’

CotswoldStrife · 22/03/2018 22:43

Good luck with the inteview Cordelia!

I can hear my own DD still moving around upstairs now! She's never needed much sleep. SATs not too bad but she's probably more worried about an extra-curricular exam tomorrow anyway.

So tonight I have cooked tea (freezer chicken burgers and chips), baked cakes, will sort out DD's sponsorship form for Sport Relief and then tomorrow morning we'll ice the cakes for school, a bit more practice for the exam and pack her off to school!

All I can think about is Wine bring on Friday! I need to fit some present purchasing in tomorrow as well though which is going to be tricky.

Links next.

Cagliostro · 22/03/2018 22:47

Nice to see people returning! And yay for interview!

It’s been an odd day. I’ve got laundry done and it’s now taking over the house, loads of clean stuff to be put away. Went to Badgers, Cagletini stayed asleep while I sat in the pub, so I tried making lists. I just feel all flat though. Nice not to have the overwhelming panic like I did the other day but it’s sort of that it’s inevitable that I can’t do it all. Like, what’s the point. I am just a giant ball of MEH.

Cagliostro · 22/03/2018 22:48

On a more positive note though (I’ve also realised I’ve stopped doing the ta da lists and maybe that’s not helping my self esteem as I don’t appreciate what I am getting done) baby is in bed and I am going now too.

Stilllivinginazoo · 23/03/2018 05:22

Hope you slept well cag
Cotswold hope DD holding up ok thru SATS ..dd2 bought home a GCSE speaking test(she's in yr9,exams are year 11) they HAVE to do it in order to do Lang/literature..looking at criteria I glad I not at school stillSadshe's understandably stressed, and I have this for next three years as some mocks start forthwith to get them into the zone

Hills Flowers.

Good luck with interview Callme.

Ta da:-
Also broke up arguments over a toy
Dishwasher on
Work emails dealt with
Bought some nice stuff for an Easter egg hunt at Aldi. My parents are coming for Easter so planning an Easter egg hunt for Sunday to keep everyone occupied.

Also massive ta da from yesterday... DH fixed something that had been broken in the house for AGES. My parents comment every time they come so at least this time they cannot complain about it. It is a cheap fix and I know he thinks it’s not perfect but I am so happy that it is one less thing for them to moan about GrinGrinGrin.

To do:-
Laundry
Go through some more memory boxes
General tidy up
Meet friend for coffee, need to leave in 20 mins.

School disco later so need to figure out the logistics of that.
Check what Easter stuff we have and make a list of what we need - this may be tomorrow though.

CotswoldStrife · 23/03/2018 10:30

I only have one child so no battles to break up - major advantage!

I'm in and out all day today, due to the school run and that extra-curricular exam smack in the middle of the day, requiring a journey whilst providing lunch as DD will miss out at school. Nothing like adding to the mayhem. So looking forward to the end of this week!

I'm just going to watch the traffic reports for a bit for that route, and I'll catch up with you later this afternoon. Really need to go present shopping as well!

Hi all! Phew! Feeling a bit more relaxed today after working virtually all night Wednesday night in order to send corrected Webinar script over the wires in time for deadline and then sending hard copy off in post.

Also, got some hugs and huge "thank yous" from DD and friends for hospitality/meals etc so feeling less "put upon" Grin. And as I said, they are lovely girls, two of whom I haven't met before, definitely want to encourage those friendships (despite my initial whinging Grin).

Weekend situation looking a bit complicated as have fairly packed schedule but, as ever, sands are continually shifting. DH, having pushed himself too hard on overseas trip, and too hard on his rtn this week, is still jet-lagged and exhausted and has succumbed to flu type virus. He (v unusually) slept in this morning but has now gone out to business lunch Hmm And DD has been off school this morning with same thing but has gone in for this afternoon's session. I've spent the morning buying hay/herbs/veg and then visiting the rabbit (at vets again) on the other side of town . Came home just now to a kitchen utterly destroyed! What those two can do to a formerly clean and (relatively) tidy kitchen beggars belief!!! Just about to tackle it and do more washing and sort godchildren's Easter parcels.

Cotswold good luck to your dd this pm!

Cordelia great news about interview!! Good luck with it!

Toostressy yay to overdue DIY fix (have an entire list of them here).

Hang in there CAG

Agree with everyone else about cheering effects of daffodils!!

Cheery wing flaps to everyone else!

Supper: fish on Friday, so salmon steaks from freezer (will bake in foil with herbs) and have green beans, broccoli, baby toms and new pots left in fridge.
