Right you horrible lot stop nattering so much nah it wouldn't be fun if you did

So you have wandered into this corner of MN were the fledglings - a long running but very friendly group welcomes newbies and follows the flylady way to try to get decluttered and on top of the boring stuff in order to have more time for the fun other boring but essential stuff

No idea whose turn it was to run the thread this month but here it the thread and we can figure it out from there.

zoo I thought your pud said peas and custard not pears! I was thinking you really are a creative cook!!

Ta da
Picked up dd
Gave ds pasta for lunch and dd a dippy egg

Nothing else achieved as ds took ages to go down for his nap for some reason he got himself worked up in a right state. I keep thinking everything is the start of chicken pox!

foxessocks · 21/03/2018 13:22

sc definitely send them to the shop so at least your dd is aware that you are having to adjust things for her! Tbf my mum is very much my friend now but as a teenager...not so much! I mean we did get on but we also fell out a lot. And teenagers are often selfish they don't really understand until they grow up and realise being an adult is quite tricky. I'm speaking from experience there!!

Stilllivinginazoo · 21/03/2018 13:57

foxes peas and custard is a bit to flamboyant even for the relatively adventurous zoolet taste buds!!Grin

SC deffo send to shop for you.as I always say "wanna eat it help carry it"-pointedly we don't have a car so works wondersWink

Carrot and cranberry cakes in oven.hoping it's ready before need get lil zoo!!

foxessocks · 21/03/2018 14:20

Are you taking pleasure in my feeling crap zoo Shock I wouldnt be surprised tbh if the feeling sick was a fun new side effect of the LARC

Steamcloud · 21/03/2018 18:44

A warm welcome to Strawberry1122!

Sorry, didn't get back to see your message in time Zoo but thank you very much for it! It'll be useful for next time (although I have to confess to not being very good with dairy/wobbly food) much to dh's disappointment. In the end they bought sorbets from the supermarket.

Phew; I am bush-wacked. Including the shopping that took all day from 10.15 am onwards until 7.30 pm just now. (In between lunch and dinner they needed help with writing a presentation for their English lesson.) And what with the endless giggling/shrieking... . [Reaches for woolly slippers.] Just need to pick dd up from theatre this evening at 10pm but hoping dh will be back in time to do that ... .

Steamcloud · 21/03/2018 18:53

Waves to Cotswold!! Gin herewith to power you through the rest of the week, cos I know you like it Wink [SC proffers special Lenten dispensation]

Shame about the outfit Afresh hope next one works out ... and I didn't have a particularly lovey dovey relationship with my late ma ... she was too scary for that ... so maybe that is why I find it so difficult myself (although I hope I am a hundred times more affectionate/relaxed with dd I might add!). Nevertheless, just occasionally one hears own's own mother speaking from one's own mouth - yaarrrgghh - tis a frightening thing!!!

Zoo ethics class sounds interesting!!

Stilllivinginazoo · 21/03/2018 19:18

I would never crow at your suffering afresh
I just need a thread baby,my broody feathers are digging in when I have jeans onWink

Stilllivinginazoo · 21/03/2018 19:19

Digging in my legs I should add

Cagliostro · 21/03/2018 20:22

Thanks all. I do feel more sane now after a nice day - finally had a day with DH, we went for lunch as a family (which involved a walk in the sunshine, at a distance/incline that would have been absolutely impossible for me a year ago, so that was a nice boost), we sat in the park having a chat and then I got some quiet time as DH took DS (who, bless him, has been super hard work lately) to gym with him and DD.

I always feel guilty though when we do something like that as I just think we should be at home getting stuff done!

HillsBesideTheSea · 21/03/2018 22:49

Sorry I am going awol properly for a while. Can;t keep up. Too many plates and they are all smashing.

Keep good, keep nattering and perhaps consider flying occassionally!

Don't feel guilty Cag you have to grab those moments!! Smile

DH and DD have gone to bed (both shattered) and I am working (sob) - it's going to be a long night... .

(Leaves out stack of chocolate for those in need in the early hrs...).

Steamcloud · 21/03/2018 22:51

X post Hills

Take care xx

GoingGoingGoth · 21/03/2018 23:09

Hello Strawberry

SC my list are only impressive if I complete them Grin

Afternoon Ta-dahs
Tumble dryer
Pack orders
Ironing
Collect DD from school & post office
Dinner
Washing up

Had some good news, I'd ordered a sweatshirt from the US in January (wine may have been involved) and ended up taking it to dispute to PayPal as it never turned up. Not only have I got the money back but I've found it in the UK at half the price and it should be here in the next couple of days.

CotswoldStrife · 22/03/2018 00:17

Hills do what you have to to take care of yourself. You know where we are if there is anything we can do or you want to vent Flowers
