Right you horrible lot stop nattering so much nah it wouldn't be fun if you did

So you have wandered into this corner of MN were the fledglings - a long running but very friendly group welcomes newbies and follows the flylady way to try to get decluttered and on top of the boring stuff in order to have more time for the fun other boring but essential stuff

No idea whose turn it was to run the thread this month but here it the thread and we can figure it out from there.

fool excellent idea to use what you have. I use ferrero rocher plastic tubs for kids pens. And old coffee jars as money jars good for saving. I need to think what I've got I could use but might buy a couple of pretty baskets for my bedroom.

I'm not very creative at stuff like this! Wish I was good at interior design!

But big ta da - helped dd make her Easter bonnet for nursery next week and it didn't cost us a penny. I saw all these Easter bonnet kits in the shops last week and I thought how shops are just raking in money for basically a collection of stickers and cotton wool. Anyway found an old summer hat and we decorated with stickers we already had and cotton wool and dd drew a rabbit to stick on. She did most of it herself and it looks a bit of a mess but it was good fun!

FoolandFitz · 17/03/2018 13:56

fox I did this to make cheap pretty boxes but only used one pale coloured wrapping paper as it is much more soothing. It didn't take long.

HillsBesideTheSea · 17/03/2018 13:57

we used to have an "oh fuck easter bonnet" set of supplies that was basically some pompoms, feathers and easter stickers and some easter chicks you stick on crispies egg nest type cakes. i am sooo glad we are over that stage ds used to hate it

Afreshcuppateaplease · 17/03/2018 14:05

There are time i have considered boxing dc.

zoo cakes look brilliant

Also looking forward to day a dc can bring me a brew in bed. Dc1 is 10 so could possibly manage it but has to be dragged from his bed most days now!

We have no clean tea spoons so i best wash up

Stilllivinginazoo · 17/03/2018 15:03

Are you feeling any better afresh
There have been days here when I could cheerfully strangle dd2 them.todays one of those days.surly doesn't cover it.....

Cagliostro · 17/03/2018 15:05

I’ve just sent DS to tell DD she has to come back at 3.30. There’s just no way I’ll get everything ready otherwise. Ugh I’m so stressed now. How do people actually manage with a baby without a willing 10yo to cuddle them when you can’t? 😳😂

Need to cook and stuff. Bah.

Afreshcuppateaplease · 17/03/2018 15:14

An older child does certainly help with a baby cag! Dc1 (10) here comes in handy for baby entertaining so its not just you does it! Its a good age gap i find! When dd was born older two were 5 and 6, not they werent interested at all!

Feeling bit better ty zoo

Went out in snow and it was all blowing in our faces. Horrible. Hibernating now.

foxessocks · 17/03/2018 16:07

Yeah dd (4) does love her baby brother but the novelty of playing with him wears off fast!! She tends to go upstairs and shut her bedroom door and tells me to "entertain the baby please mum"! they've been good for the most part today though, we've done puzzles and connect four together and now we are watching yet more hey duggee! I think I've reached my limit of children's entertaining today...dh still at work Sad

foxessocks · 17/03/2018 16:08

And I still have cleaned the loo. Or done any tidying generally so the house looks like a tornado hit.

Afreshcuppateaplease · 17/03/2018 17:25

Dd (4) spends most of her days purposely pissing off ds3 (16m) She can be mean and needs watching Hmm

Afreshcuppateaplease · 17/03/2018 17:25

Need pointy stick or motivation please

foxessocks · 17/03/2018 17:29

afresh if your dc like hey duggee there is an episode with some twangy country music I think story badge one...Anyway I just tidied all the toys up while that music played its really fast and makes you feel like running round (of course there is a high chance I'm just going mad from being stuck inside for 6 days straight with the kids!!)

Afreshcuppateaplease · 17/03/2018 17:33

Dd is currently watching baby tv and i feel myself being sung to sleepBlush

Everytime i look outside and see the snow i think FUCK OFF Angry

foxessocks · 17/03/2018 17:35

Stilllivinginazoo · 17/03/2018 17:44

Stilllivinginazoo · 17/03/2018 17:48

How did I get santa when pressed sad face.even the emoji are working to discredit me as semi saneConfused

Btw dd1 was 9 when had dd2.fab gal for entertaining!!useful now too as dd1 is 23 and cool and I am like the crypt keeper and embarrassing so waaaay better to do "stuff" with and advise on school issues as I haven't lived thru school and internet...

Afreshcuppateaplease · 17/03/2018 17:51

I have just realised i stated dc1&2 were 5&6 when dc3 was born. They were actually 5 and nearly 4. Head up arse good and proper this week just cant function.

Bowerbird5 · 17/03/2018 18:25

That's why we get on then zoo😊
The cakes look lovely tell her well done.

Well so far. Ta dahs.
Two loads of washing done.
Kitchen tidied and hob cleaned. Swept floor.
Bed made and sorted a few clothes. Need to vacuum. Shoes ( choir) need wiped before putting away.
Swished bathroom basin.
Skived off to friends and had hugs from surrogate grandchildren 😄
Fire on now. Load of logs in. Snowed on and off all day and sunshine. Had no snow on green but snow in my garden so look out one window no snow look out kitchen window snow! Bizarre.

Going to make SPAG bol with quorn. I have vegan cheese 😃
Need to vacuum downstairs and stairs.
Two bags of stuff needs sorting. I think it is craft stuff so not so bad as it will sort quickly.
Fool & fizz I like that site. I used to use cereal boxes years ago might do some more or perhaps tea boxes would work too for small dividers. I used some sticky back plastic that I used to line the drawers as it was left over.

Whoa you should see the snow storm outside our house. It is thick and fast swirling in the dusky blue it is very atmospheric and would make a great film background for a spooky scene think Vera, Morse etc.cant see neighbours house across green now. It has disappeared!

FoolandFitz · 17/03/2018 18:47

afresh I went out while it was sunny, nipped into a shop, came out and it was full blown blizzard. Shock Horrible. I am SO ready for spring, yesterday was lovely wasn't it zoo - I actually took a layer off whilst doing outside duty!

Bower Am feeling better, thank you for asking. I had the flu, in bed for a fair few days, went back to work and have a terrible lingering cough that sounds like a seal bark and hurts my head, back, chest and stomach every time I have a coughing fit. But actually feeling better when not coughing!

Ta-da
Lie in till 8 am, bloody text from Virgin woke me up, grr.
Load of wash done.
Hoovered downstairs
Re-read Marie Kondo and as a result, tackled a drawer and the medicine cupboard
Took a carrier bag of out of date unused medicine into boots Shock
Got my varifocal lenses changed on my glasses (for free) and I can actually see middle distance clearly now.
Cooked dinner (spicy chicken and chips for us, home made chicken nuggets for DS)

Stilllivinginazoo · 17/03/2018 19:13

f+f great link.thank you!
Bower what's the brand cheese you have? We have used violife.lil zoo loves flavour.i not keen on the smell tho...

foxessocks · 17/03/2018 19:49

Ta da
Swish and swipe downstairs loo
Manic tidy up of toys
Cooked dinner - smoked salmon courgette pea pasta with creme fraiche and lemon juice - dd declared it horrible despite usually liking all those things Confusedthink she is just very tired and we did have dinner late too. She did eat it all in the end tbf. Have a feeling it wasn't dh favourite either but he knew not to say anything Grin
No bath for the dc tonight as ran out of time just quick tidy and bed. Dh didn't get in until 6.30 he left the house at 5 Shock and working again tomorrow. Dd spots all crusted over but don't actually have any plans for tomorrow anyway Sad

I've been googling storage ideas today - no idea it could be so fun!

TooStressyForMyOwnGood · 17/03/2018 19:59

Hello all! Busy day and now at my in laws for the night so not much flying done. Am slowly ploughing on with the decluttering.
