Right you horrible lot stop nattering so much nah it wouldn't be fun if you did

So you have wandered into this corner of MN were the fledglings - a long running but very friendly group welcomes newbies and follows the flylady way to try to get decluttered and on top of the boring stuff in order to have more time for the fun other boring but essential stuff

No idea whose turn it was to run the thread this month but here it the thread and we can figure it out from there.

*what would it be for

Bowerbird5 · 16/03/2018 21:24

Busy. I had to tell them off. They settled down eventually for registration then I sat with them painting. They did really well and as they finished I attached cellophane wings so they were quite impressed. We ran out of time for the last group but they didn't seem bothered and we're going to do something else anyway. The ones on the carpet made quite a mess. I learnt a few more names.
I felt tired so bought fish and chips on the way home at 5. Fell asleep after only managing about half and a cup of tea. That hot tea does it every time!
How are you?

CotswoldStrife · 16/03/2018 23:46

Good evening fledglings, glad DS is doing OK zoo. I quite like Allan instead of a plan - I need an Allan!

We have a busy day tomorrow, DD has an activity in the morning and then we are planning to travel to a Science Fair. If the traffic is bad we'll spend more time in the car than the Fair, but she wants to do the activity first Hmm

Not much flying today, and we'll be out for a fair bit of tomorrow excuses I need an Allan for next week! We are on countdown now for the half-term with a large amount of DD's activities until then including mock SATs and a music exam so need to get myself sorted before the two-week break kills the house completely!

foxessocks · 17/03/2018 07:26

Oh no afresh hope you're not getting poorly.

I am up but the dc aren't - have had nearly half an hour peace with a coffee in bed! Can't believe it! I'm starting to feel less snotty and my headache has finally gone. Another day in chicken pox quarantine for us though. Dh working all weekend so it's starting to feel like ground hog day...

foxessocks · 17/03/2018 07:28

To do
Daily routine
Swish and swipe downstairs loo
Help dd write thank you cards

foxessocks · 17/03/2018 07:29

I've also got to help dd make a parrot and an Easter bonnet for various nursery school activities next week but one thing at a time!

Afreshcuppateaplease · 17/03/2018 07:39

Snow is falling ...

Cagliostro · 17/03/2018 08:33

I’ve not looked outside yet but the Caglets would be jumping around if there were snow, so I’m assuming not. Didn’t post last night as I was asleep around 11! It makes a huge difference when DH is here, they let him go a couple of hours early as they owe him a lot of leave. Life would be a lot easier if DH didn’t work lates.

I did manage some washing up, and cooked all three meals yesterday, and did two loads of laundry.

I have to entertain relatives later 😭 it will be nice really but god I am tired. At least it forces me to get up. And tidy.

Cagletini went 6hrs though, which is the best by far since the 4 month sleep regression started.

Just realised I need to sort some clubcard vouchers and I’ll print them at the library later (we are going into town later to check out st Patrick’s day happenings), tomorrow we are going to cheap cinema and can use vouchers for nice free lunch while DH is out. And need to pop to a supermarket for entertaining supplies I suppose.

Must get up and dressed now.

CotswoldStrife · 17/03/2018 09:13

Very light flurries here so not sticking - our weather warning for snow doesn't kick in until midnight tonight (at the moment) so should be OK for travelling today. It is cold though!

Stay safe and well fledglings. I'm off for a shower before the madness starts, we've had our usual bumper weekend breakfast so I'm all fuelled up to go!

Bowerbird5 · 17/03/2018 09:36

Wish I was fuelled up.

Watched Vera and went to bed at 11 due to DH ringing and missed the started so went to plus one hence late bedtime but knew I was too Stressy to sleep before. I have had a really stressed week and seem to be on call to every teacher in school with behavioural kids. I have been upset too can't say why here but love some of my kids and I ended up in tears yesterday. If somebody had said the wrong thing yesterday I would have thrown the towel in.
I have just work up ten minutes ago! Shows how tired I am. I am usually awake at around six, get up now at 7:15 I used to get up early but find I run out of steam before the end of school if I am up too early. I have cup of tea, research, plan day etc while still in bed now.
Right enough ...see zoo we all do it.i love to read about your families as I have no one here and I miss them being home. Ducks for cover as cushions are thrown. Ouch that piece of Lego hurt who was that?
Choice today
Get up and clean / tidy messy house
or
Go to house / garden small show 25 mins away.

Help?

Bowerbird5 · 17/03/2018 09:39

Bowerbird5 · 17/03/2018 10:46

Great idea zoo. Yes, to letting her sleep. I used to do that sometimes so I could get other things done with other kids.cakes sound like they will be lovely. The Range do packs of cutters much cheaper than cake decorating shops. The butterflies look great on cupcakes especially with edible glitter on for another time. If you buy white icing you can change colours if they can have colours. I had one who couldn't he went hyper with any and carried on for hours. We had lots of white icing then although a little coffee or cocoa mixed in can look good like old lace. Have fun. I am up now and getting washing.

HillsBesideTheSea · 17/03/2018 11:27

Ds has been up a while. He is very please it is snowing because he chose not to go visit his dad with the forecasted bad weather. It would have been very hard on him if the forecast had been wrong. It is blowing a hooli out there again.

I did a load of stuff yesterday, need to do more today. But for now I am just lazing in bed with a coffee that ds brought me. That kid has done a hell of a lot of growing up this last year!

foxessocks · 17/03/2018 12:38

zoo I had a bit of a storage epiphany this morning. As in I need more boxes and baskets so when I dust and clean I just lift one thing up and it looks neater. Did the bathroom ages ago but had a oh yeah I could do the whole house moment this morning....doh why didn't I think of it before!

foxessocks · 17/03/2018 12:39

Obviously i won't put everything in a box...

FoolandFitz · 17/03/2018 13:05

hills I hope my DS will bring me a cup of tea in bed one day. DS is ASD and today he got dressed, brushed his teeth and washed his face by himself - I praised him lots even though it took him ages as he got distracted by his Lego and refused to brush his hair but it's still progress Smile Normally I supervise him because it gets too stressful during school days as he just gets too easily distracted.

foxes and still I love storage boxes etc but since going frugal I use shoe boxes and those clear plastic cartons that have soft fruits in for pretty much everything. I like the clear plastic cartons the best because it's minimalist looking and a whole row of them in drawers looks quite nice I think, esp if you put pretty wrapping paper underneath. I also use cutlery trays around the house for different things eg separating pens, erasers, scissors etc.
