Right you horrible lot stop nattering so much nah it wouldn't be fun if you did

So you have wandered into this corner of MN were the fledglings - a long running but very friendly group welcomes newbies and follows the flylady way to try to get decluttered and on top of the boring stuff in order to have more time for the fun other boring but essential stuff

No idea whose turn it was to run the thread this month but here it the thread and we can figure it out from there.

Afresh Shock. Was it a compliment or not?!

I have started a thread in relationships asking for advice on how on earth to feel like an adult and not a sulky child with no control over my life when my parents visit. Any advice gratefully received!

Cagliostro · 12/03/2018 11:15

Wow!

ta da so far
✅booked tickets for ballet show (included making phone call to check if baby is allowed in sling - she is, they recommended an aisle seat which I did anyway)
✅emailed about trampolining
✅set spellings and maths (not done yet)
✅Caglets have helped DH tidy up in preparation for pupil

ta didn’t
❌get dressed or get out of bed 😳

Need to get up, feel quite meh despite slightly better night sleepwise. DH pointed out there’s a homework club at the library so I’ll go there for the right time to get free printing, after baby clinic. It’s been raining heavily though.

I’m so hungry. I had toast hours ago. Pupils arriving at 12.

My phone seems to be ok now. Stupid thing. I was going to say zoo glad school.is being supportive. afresh definitely take it as a compliment I think you obviously don't need that skincare regime

Ds was a bit tricky in town he had a few tantrums and I had to keep feeding him to get him to sit down for a minute Blush oh well. Reminded me why I don't go into town much.

Afreshcuppateaplease · 12/03/2018 14:38

TooStressyForMyOwnGood · 12/03/2018 15:11

Yes, town with young children is usually tricky I find foxes. Glad you have a plan for lil zoo zoo.

Ta da:-
Got some useful advice on my other thread. Think I just need to woman up basically
Got hire car delivered as mine is in garage - nothing major but have to have hire car for possibly up to a month Shock. I hate the hire car Angry.

Figure out tea for DH and me which will have to be something simple as waited in all day for hire car so couldn’t go out and get any food and had not been organised enough to book online shop for today.

Big wing flaps to all.

HillsBesideTheSea · 12/03/2018 17:23

I have just done my last overtime shift for a while. You have no idea how happy I am! Yes extra money is nice but bloody hell it has zapped energy and things have got insane around here.

No flying tonight, tomo or wed, but thursday should hopefully have a mahoosive catch up list!

Dd has chicken pox. Humph. And I have a cold, head is all stuffed up.

foxessocks · 12/03/2018 19:01

Did everything except mop the kitchen so must do that t omorrowm. I'll have plenty of time now I can't go anywhere! !

Cagliostro · 12/03/2018 19:48

Oh no poor little foxcub :( hopefully (IYSWIM) DS will get it too so it’s all out the way.

So I did my teaching today and earned a bit (just realised I need to stick some more money in the savings tin as I’m trying to put the exact earnings in cash, PayPal earnings are going to the ISA when possible towards moving costs), Cagletini was quite stroppy but the mum is one of my best friends and it was fine, lesson went well really.

Then went to town, bumped into other friends. Baby is now 14lb 14oz and has finally tipped over the 50th centile woohoo! I weighed myself too and I have amazingly maintained weight still. Despite eating really badly, I really thought I’d put on. So hopefully now that I’m trying to be more sensible again (still not great TBH) I will lose again.

Went to the library, got a load of maths worksheets printed off which I’ll cut up to make daily work packs. Then dashed to taekwondo and only just made it, didn’t have time to go to Wilko for storage etc.

I need to do the Tesco order. And laundry. Ugh. Daily life. Ugh.

FlowersBrewWine for the naughty corner and for zoo, foxes, Cag and anyone feeling they need them.

Oh no re. chickenpox foxes. Just a quick reminder (as you probably already know) the advice is not to give ibuprofen with chickenpox. Hope it is not too miserable for everyone.

Well I have had a miserable evening. It started off so well, both girls went to gymnastics, ate their packed tea, did their homework. Got in the car to go home and couldn’t get the bloody thing to start. Plus didn’t have much charge on my phone as it is getting old and doesn’t hold battery well these days and I hadn’t made sure it was fully charged. Tried and tried to get key to turn and in the end had to get girls out and go back to gymnastics and then wait there. Was a helpless female and called DH to come and get us so he missed his running club and eventually got the car to start. By this time DD1 tired and DD2 running around and past the point of being able to control her. Then DD1 upset as has lost a (thankfully not really special) toy at school but she knows full well not to take them into school and sneaks them in anyway. Plus in the rush to get tired children to bed forgot to get DD1 to do bedtime wee which is part of strategy to reduce bed wetting. Aaaaggh.

Anyway, they are asleep, DH has cobbled together some food from the freezer and we have opened my Mother’s Day prosecco. I am shattered! Still not heard about job.

Glad you have finished the overtime for joe Hills and thanks for links as always Cotswold. Tired wing flaps to all.

CotswoldStrife · 12/03/2018 23:06

Evening all! Beef stew for tea here tonight (sits in slow cooker all day so is ready for DH and I when we return from DD's dance lesson - she has a takeaway) and I feel as if I've spent all day in the kitchen washing up and cooking. Did have a lot of washing up to catch up on though.

DD is doing really well with her musical practice and homework at the moment, doing a bit extra of each because of upcoming exams.

whoknows ah, the active on here is my downfall too, I like the idea of an in-house chef in the making!

Cag whole days used to evaporate for me when DD was small. I don't think I mentioned that one of my gifts was a pretty to-do list with matching pen 'cos you need a to-do list don't you mum' Grin Go easy if you are feeling dizzy.

zoo that's way too early to get up, the school sound nice though.

stressy staying away from the rest of MN seems to be a squad goal here this month Grin Car troubles are always stressful.

fresh start scanning! Perhaps the Garnier is working well young lady!

Bower some well-raised boys there, well done to them!

foxes sorting Easter already?! Meh for the pox though.

Hills don't over do it later in the week, rest properly.

Links to follow - sleep well fledglings!

Cagliostro · 13/03/2018 00:21

No ibuprofen with chicken pox? I had no idea, thank you for mentioning! Caglets both had the pox but I’ll remember that for when baby gets it 💐

Well I didn’t do laundry but I ordered Tesco, DH has a surprise day off tomorrow and is off Wednesday so it’s quite a treat and he can cook two days running hurrah! We will all go to get tap shoes but I’m going home before the lesson, will be nice to rest a bit.

Failing at early bed the last few days, slipping back easily into bad habits and not looking after myself at all really.

I cut up and stapled all the maths things. They now have 15 little sets of questions, so 3 weeks worth each.

foxessocks · 13/03/2018 06:44

Thanks toostressy I had seen that about ibuprofen being dangerous with chicken pox on FB recently but I think it's important to keep reminding people - I was paranoid when I read it that I might forget but i didnt have long to wait!

Dd is still asleep she slept fine only woke up once for the loo. Ds woke up once but was fine after a cuddle. Haven't looked him over for spots yet but he is awake so I'll check on him in a sec . He keeps waking early and is clearly still tired so I'm waiting to see if he might go back to sleep.

I slept badly my whole head is blocked up. Bleugh.

Afreshcuppateaplease · 13/03/2018 06:49

foxes when my eldest had cp at 2 it took 3 weeks for dc2 to come out in spots. My work loved me. All of mine have had it now. Two had it before first birthday and the others as toddlers

foxessocks · 13/03/2018 06:53

afresh nooo! I just want it over and done with.

Sorry for my self absorbed rambling this morning. Have woken up a tad grumpy! Ds gone quiet...

Afreshcuppateaplease · 13/03/2018 06:57

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news foxes! When ds1 had it i kept checking ds2. Then just when i started thinking he had escaped. Boom.

Stilllivinginazoo · 13/03/2018 07:05

21 day incubation that's why.my youngest three it was bloody nightmare as dropped one by one, getting progressively worse spots on each.and top it all they got a few a day rather than all at once so had two weeks off school/nursery each.gah!!

Afreshcuppateaplease · 13/03/2018 07:09
