Right you horrible lot stop nattering so much nah it wouldn't be fun if you did

So you have wandered into this corner of MN were the fledglings - a long running but very friendly group welcomes newbies and follows the flylady way to try to get decluttered and on top of the boring stuff in order to have more time for the fun other boring but essential stuff

No idea whose turn it was to run the thread this month but here it the thread and we can figure it out from there.

You ok bower?
I gave up any shreds of sanity after I had the zoolets hills my dinosaur knowledge is verging towards mastermind specialist subject.i know waaaaay to many of the background mlp names.zoolets obsessed food and nature so I learned about birds and plants, remedies of various herbs etc.it kinda keeps me on my toes and when I get thrown questions I can't answer it's much easier these days than when dd1 was little and I had no internet so thumbing thru books in library.i suspect their enquiring minds have kept mine from turning to mush from stress/lack sleep etc
SC

Morning everyone. Dd going back to nursery at last! Ds didn't get up as early today but still hardly any appetite and weird poo Sad just want everyone to be better now!

Got to go out this morning but not sure how ds will be. Have a feeling he may scream all the way round the shops.

Steamcloud · 07/03/2018 08:29

You do plenty Afresh

Everything going tits up here. DH leaving for long trip tomorrow. Two family members coming to stay. Begged and bribed plumber to turn up to sort out part functioning bathroom (loo leaking) and usual bathroom (in which the sink has seized up) before their arrival and he's just rung to tell me he can't now come. Second plumber not answering calls. Arrgh! Oh yes and no spare beds 'cos they are all at wreck2. Plus I still feel dizzy and just can't rush around (bleats pathetically). Think I am going to have to go to IKEA (bleats even more pathetically).

DD currently obsessed with science and physics. Such a surprise to me because she was v orientated towards lang/arts/humanities at primaire but she's undergone a complete volte-face since! Helped by absolutely fantastic and dedicated science teacher who is amazingly good at her job! I

Cagliostro · 07/03/2018 08:31

So frustrating foxes :(

Thanks so much hills - oooh fireworks! Actually one of his spelling sentences this week was about an element being used in fireworks, I’d had no idea. Also we were doing proper science notes in books for a while before baby arrived, and we were doing a whole plant topic. So photosynthesis would be more interesting to him now that he knows what the equation represents. There are a few science things that go on locally, and we do them, but they are very much aimed at ks2 so not actually going into the details and theory really (so talking about reactions in general, but not which elements, not talking about bonds etc... all that stuff I never really understood) which is what he now wants. I think we could do more stuff at home though, as the experiments will mean more to him now. Whereas to DD they will still be more “oh look it’s changed colour” IYSWIM. We do actually have a proper chemistry set, need to find the apparatus though as I don’t think it ever got put away when washed after doing one experiment! But again I think we would get more out of it now.

Need to get up. DH is putting a towel wash on to see if it leaks again. 🙄

Steamcloud · 07/03/2018 08:35

Oh that doesn't sound good Foxes

Go steady Cotswold

Flying to do ... EVERYTHING!!!

Waves to Cag Zoo Hills Bower and everyone else!

If anyone needs a bit of light relief then this thread is funny!

HillsBesideTheSea · 07/03/2018 08:44

I still have some lingering worksheets I think. I will see what I can find because there is a few things he has to understand to prevent there being issues in the future. If not I shall have a think and scribble something down.

Steamcloud · 07/03/2018 09:48

I'm not HCP (obviously) but maybe check out appendicitis? Think initial pain can be around tummy button and tender to touch?

Steamcloud · 07/03/2018 09:54

Sorry, re-reading your post Zoo you are probably thinking that already Blush. Anyway hope a doc can check her out. DD had two similar episodes aged about 12. Presented like appendicitis but turned out to be colic which can be similarly painful.

foxessocks · 07/03/2018 11:29

Hope dd ok zoo poor thing

That sounds stressful sc!

Thanks guys.i rang gp around 11 to be put onto triage phone call.missed am one so on pm list, which is from 2 pm
She's feeling bit better, hungry which always good sign, pain only when moving now(like yesterday)
SC I was wondering colic/IBS?not sure what they could do for that, but I secured a call with go for later so least they can reassure me what to do as I don't want to be a fretting Freda....
Tadas
Midnumbingly slow sorting thru a handwritten book of recipes copying out those I can still read after kit tip water over it and smudge substantial amount of contents.id say 3/4 salvageable but it's slow going....

Stilllivinginazoo · 07/03/2018 12:31

Oh and yet more washing
Lil zoo had toast, bit cucumber and some plain baked crisps.pain only on moving now...
I've just scoffed big bowl comforting kale mash and tin tuna(easy on the mouth and filling)

Steamcloud · 07/03/2018 13:49

Zoo even if its colic, its worth being checked out by a doc, as can be very very painful (dd needed pain meds through drip). Also, a doc can exclude/include appendicitis I think with rebound test/movement thingy. (Don't take this as proper medical advice obviously!!)

Stop press... drum roll ... wait for it ....

TA DAAAAAAA!!

I have unblocked the main bathroom sink without the aid of anyone with testicles!!!!

Grin

girl power!!!!!!!

Nearly made me puke doing it, but it was worth it!
