Welcome to the April Flylady thread. We will be posting links every day to the Flylady method of maintaining your home and all posters, lurkers, newbies and returners are welcome - there will be a lot bit of general chat too. Post your ta-da successes and inspire others (or join some of us in the naughty corner on a less-than-stellar day, we all have them!) and bask in the support of the fledglings as we swing into Spring and ease towards Easter (avoiding the dreaded pointy stick of motivation)!

Evening all. Busy day here, out from mid-morning to mid-afternoon and then DD had a busy few hours of playing planned! Woke up myself last night after a bad dream at about 2.00am, fell asleep until woken by DD who had also had a bad dream a few hours later! DH back at work today.

Our bedroom houses the ironing pile so I would never say it is completely tidy Blush Of course that could be easily dealt with by actually ironing it so that could be a win for the week. I am making the beds, honest.

Waves to mermaids, zoo, cag, celeste, Blue, Purple, Stressy and foxes - sleep well fledglings, I'm off to do a last couple of bits of washing up.

Ta das
Daily routine done
Kitchen floor mopped and cupboards wiped over

Feeling a little disheartened after cleaning kitchen floor etc, everything just looks a bit grimy and I think I just need a new kitchen, it's just old and tired and I don't think I can ever make it look as nice as I want it to. Ah well.

Cagliostro · 19/04/2017 11:52

Not done anything at all today! Got a phone call early to say DS could have a cancellation appt with dermatology - he only got referred yesterday! So DH took him, he's now got antibiotics as well as lots more creams etc and we've got to wrap the bad bits in cling film for half an hour each night too.

Must shift my bum but just totally unmotivated! Blush

Stilllivinginazoo · 19/04/2017 12:12

We had really enjoyable walk to supermarket in glorious sunshine(winds chilly tho).picked up what needed, bar couple items out stock.

This afternoon I plan tidy under my bed and the top chest of drawers and blanket box(both buried under piles "stuff")

CotswoldStrife · 19/04/2017 14:43

DD has kept herself amused all morning and we didn't go out, which means I have made a difference at one end of the room Shock

I have another half an hour before her planned activity for the day and it has been really nice not to have her bossing me around for a change especially as DH will be back early today after an appointment.

Will be back later!

Cagliostro · 19/04/2017 20:35

More stuff from the attic sorted. Well actually just chucked away (apart from two things to be cleaned up for a display shelf) - why were we keeping so much crap? WHY?!

CotswoldStrife · 19/04/2017 23:25

MN has slowed to a crawl for me tonight, so will post the links shortly.

Cag for me clutter (or attic storage) is down to my inability to make decisions. That's just me, though. I keep stuff that I look at years down the line and have never used (not talking about sentimental items here).

Cagliostro · 20/04/2017 08:38

Have tried wet wrapping but it made it worse after a while due to the sweating etc :( anyway he was happy with what we tried yesterday so hopefully can move forward with this.

The attic clutter wasn't even stored properly. If I'd wanted to keep anything (other than the marble/glass things) I couldn't because it had gone so manky, it was all just shoved in a cardboard box not even sealed! Pretty sure one of the boxes we did was from when we moved, we probably shoved it all in before the movers arrived at our old flat and never unpacked! It made the decisions easier as it was all too horrible to keep anyway, and TBH there wasn't really anything that we will miss (after all it's been out of sight for several years) but it does make us cross with ourselves as it's just such a waste. Lots of books that can't even be sold to ziffit or whatever for a few quid because they are moisture damaged. But also I don't want to get paralysed with regret, it's happened, got to just keep moving forward eh?
