Ease towards Easter with the Fledglings and the Flylady April thread!

Welcome to the April Flylady thread. We will be posting links every day to the Flylady method of maintaining your home and all posters, lurkers, newbies and returners are welcome - there will be a lot bit of general chat too. Post your ta-da successes and inspire others (or join some of us in the naughty corner on a less-than-stellar day, we all have them!) and bask in the support of the fledglings as we swing into Spring and ease towards Easter (avoiding the dreaded pointy stick of motivation)!

Cag, that helps hugely . Feel really sad that my overriding feeling is relief that it is over ifswim? However, it was better this time than usual so at least that is a positive. I know that this time of DC wanting and being genuinely excited to see grandparents and parents being well and able to play is precious but I suspect then everyone is too invested in it and it becomes really stressful. .

Hope the nausea eases off for you soon if that is not a useless thing to say .

Ah well if it was a little better this time then maybe that's a sign of things getting better generally :) I know what you mean about the pressure too. But it may be that relationships improve as the kids grow older.

And thank you have to admit my first thought when they said I'm only 9 weeks was Oh hell that means longer with morning sickness! I was hoping I was near the end of that bit! :o

Right I really am going to get up and do dinner now!

Lil zoo n ds opt last bunny pasta,vegan cheese and vegan red pesto with green beans

After their dinner(incl fruit and biscuits)I read more gangsta granny and after tuck them in wash dishes

Made dd2 and myself a lush butternut squash risotto with roasted mushrooms and asparagus and lashings cheese. Yum yum yum

Dishes washed I now watching tv

Ooh zoo do you have a recipe for that risotto please?

I just half fill medium pan with water,add stock powder.boil.add half bag risotto rice and frozen squash chunks(sometimes garlic puree and Rosemary,sometimes bay and allspice)boil and simmer,stirring at intervals til desired texture(if too wet drain bit water and cook another min or two stirring)the (button)mushroom and asparagus are baked 200oc around 15 mins(rice takes approx that time to cook)

Thank you! I am a terrible cook but DH is good and I'll suggest it to him.

I've had a lovely but busy day with family. The weather held out for a walk then tea and cake at mine. People remarked on how tidy it was which was nice. I'm absolutely knackered and considering bed...

foxes good work on the exercise today and your DH clearing the attic sounds fab Cag. Top marks on the tidy comment Purple (that's envy not illness from me on that score) and stressy it can be good to be back in relaxing familiar surroundings (I feel your pain on the Smiggle stuff too).

We were out bowling this afternoon, it was expensive fun. Cooked tea and cleaned up. DD is planning tomorrow for us already, we have another week off school!

Late work finish for me tonight
Ds1 is off camping with school tomorrow so ran around packing his bag earlier
Ds2 wants to wear shorts tomorrow now it's summer term so will need to find them

De cluttered a major hot spot earlier which I'm really pleased with as I recognised it as a hot spot

Sat with rum and Coke and catching up on broadchurch now

The floor seems to have disappeared in my room again.

Must get up, I have a doctor's appt (made ages ago before I discovered WHY my period was so very late but I thought I'd keep it anyway to sort out a few niggles) as does DS about his eczema.

Then I need to pick up a few lunchy things to take to a friend's. This involves a train journey and a long (for me) walk from the station and I really can't be bothered :( which is awful as I have missed said friend, and the Caglets (and her kids) are excited, I'm just worn out (I did have a better night though). But I'll go, the other friend who was supposed to be going has backed out as well. And must think of the exercise/fresh air I'll get from the walk. Once I'm there I can flop on her sofa!

I like your reasoning cag(flop when you get there) assume someone else making lunch too,always a bonus if you queasy

Morning all. I've had an early start dropping dh off at the start of his day walk in the mebdips but the bonus is I'm in a lovely tea room with my second breakfast and a massive cup of coffee. I'm going to do a bit of exploring, head home to get a few bits done and pick him up at the end. He's very grateful and I get a lovely day out in the countryside. Win win!

I've been into town and am now wait dd2 be picked up to go pizza hut with a friend.I've just put frnbel,tomatoes and peppers in to roast for my lunch to go with a tuna and avocado sandwich vain attempt to tell myself healthy lunch nicer than pizza hut
