Welcome to the April Flylady thread. We will be posting links every day to the Flylady method of maintaining your home and all posters, lurkers, newbies and returners are welcome - there will be a lot bit of general chat too. Post your ta-da successes and inspire others (or join some of us in the naughty corner on a less-than-stellar day, we all have them!) and bask in the support of the fledglings as we swing into Spring and ease towards Easter (avoiding the dreaded pointy stick of motivation)!

We are not religious so no church here just chocolate and lamb! DC are aware of the reason we have Easter of course.

We will be doing an egg hunt later around the house as it is wet and horrible here.

To Do

First wash
First wash dry
Second wash
Second wash dry
All washing away
Beds stripped
Beds remade
Bathroom floor mopped
Bathroom cleaned
Bins emptied

TooStressyForMyOwnGood · 16/04/2017 13:55

Happy Easter all!

Nice day here so far waiting for it all to go wrong. Still at my parents so got lie in Grin then took DCs to park to let my mum get on with cooking (I am not a horrible daughter, she wanted that as much easier to cook in a quiet house without children 'helping' Smile). I have managed a run which I actually enjoyed as revisited my childhood haunts. Just eaten lunch and DD1 wants to do another Easter egg hunt. Not entirely sure what they will hunt for as we did one earlier this morning so will have to figure that out in a bit! Back to school Tuesday so will need to get with the programme again then.

We will have to leave early tomorrow morning so...

To do:-
Laundry
More laundry
Tidy up stuff after lunch
Pack our things
Check grocery order

Had a lovely day here, eaten lots of lovely food especially chocolate and had a relaxing day at home.

Have washed up from tea, need to put a few things in the dishwasher too. Have also prepped the links for next week (I like to just block and copy late at night and not try to get my brain in gear!)

Everyone else in bed (DD up since shortly after 6.00am as she was excited and has lost another tooth just to add to the day) so enjoying the peace and quiet downstairs and having a chilled glass of white.

See everyone tomorrow!

Morning all (except it isn't yet). I've had an attack of insomnia and also "slept" awkwardly so my neck hurts. I've got loads to do and family coming over so the timing is rubbish.

Sending Brew and Flowers to my fellow bad sleepers.

To do
Make cake
Food shop
General tidy
Get food ready
More sleep?

Hi all! Bad night here too, I always get a weird pain in the roof of my mouth at night when I get a cold. Hmm So was awake a long time until it passed.

Just another 'meh' day today as DH working (as indeed he did yesterday - turns out co-op opens on Easter Sundays now).

It was really lovely staying with my parents and turned out while we were away DH (who stayed home because of work - 7 days in a row) cleared a load of stuff from the attic. It's nearly empty! Yesterday I also managed to fill a big filing box with stuff to recycle.

foxessocks · 17/04/2017 09:34

afresh sounds like our babies are quite similar for night wakings which at least is a bit reassuring! My friend has a baby the same age who sleeps through the night every night without fail. Humph.

Anyway dh kindly got up again with dd and the baby and only brought the baby back for a feed at 9am so I've caught up on sleep now and just lying in bed with coffee while ds naps.

Not sure what to do today - looks quite damp outside. What is everyone up to I need inspiration!

To do
Bedroom declutter
Under the bed tidy
Daily routine
Ironing
Exercise DVD (aiming for 30 minutes today!)

TooStressyForMyOwnGood · 17/04/2017 19:07

Hello all, we are back from my parents and I feel the familiar feelings of relief that the visit is over and sadness that the DC miss then, I miss them but just find seeing them so stressful as feel under the microscope constantly Confused.

Anyway, have done a tiny bit of unpacking and just sorting the laundry now. Also cleared out a cupboard for Easter eggs as having them in plain sight of DDs was not going well! DDs having movie night with popcorn for treat as last day of holidays - back to school tomorrow.

Cannot offer any crisps for naughty corner, just a shed load of chocolate I'm afraid.

To do:-
Bedtime
Laundry
Arrange bags and cases out of the way
Label the mountain of smiggle stuff DD1 has acquired for school tomorrow

TooStressyForMyOwnGood · 17/04/2017 19:08

Forgot, can bring popcorn to naughty corner Smile

Cagliostro · 17/04/2017 19:24

I know what you mean Stressy I often felt super stressed and 'on my guard' when staying with my parents. It's better lately as the Caglets are able to be quieter (upper floor flat + wood floors + grumpy neighbour below...) and/or go to the park on their own for a bit (the apartment block has its own little playground). Plus TBH my parents don't really 'get' kids - I was far from typical (quiet, overly passive, bookish Aspie) and they think normal kid behaviour is naughty really! But as I said it has got better as they've got older, they are able to have more conversations with them, and actually this last visit was the best ever. Sorry I have no idea if what I just said is helpful or not! Blush But I do get what you mean about family 'relaxing' visits often being far from it. Sigh.

Just spent an age on a supermarket shop. Thankfully DH had helped me with a list earlier but I've just been sitting in front of the website like this Confused Envy (the latter being pukey not jealous). Done now.

Should probably do dinner but the Caglets are still happily playing outside and meh. CBA!

Broadchurch tonight though!!!
