Ease towards Easter with the Fledglings and the Flylady April thread!

Welcome to the April Flylady thread. Post your ta-da successes and inspire others (or join some of us in the naughty corner on a less-than-stellar day, we all have them!) and bask in the support of the fledglings as we swing into Spring and ease towards Easter (avoiding the dreaded pointy stick of motivation)!

Poor freshstart, up since o-dark-thirty Grab any sleep you can today, more than two nights without sleep and I am an angry bear. Cag, so cute! Good to hear it is safe, near to here there are a couple of colonies of wild bunnies that live on roundabouts in the middle of very busy dual carriageways! The sun is cracking the flags again here too, I would like a paddling pool myself mermaids (we've all had those shopping trips where you come back with a bank-balance-busting amount of stuff but not the item you went out for ...) Well done for fitting in the exercise foxes, something I always mean to do

We have been out this morning, dental appointment for me and then a browse around the shops. DD is now playing skylanders and I am pottering around the house on my usual, ineffective, constant tidy-up I will try not to be too long on MN

Another busy day,got few bits from shop centre(1hr walk away) spent 5 hr walking, I was starving in return!!dp pick up lil ones and take cinema half way thru trip and drop home before went work at 2

Cotswold meant to have done a bit of exercise today but I admit I haven't got round to it. All I've done is my daily routine stuff and replaced one bath mat!! I do try to fit it in because I eat so much chocolate

That's me done! I'm exhausted, going to have a bath and read my book for a bit I think. And try and avoid eating chocolate! We are on a stop eating crap mission in this house (I know Easter isn't the best time for this but needs must!)

foxes I have stopped eating sweets/choc.its day 8...horrific headaches have stopped,but still jitteryI've been huge sugar eater all my life,but decided its time rat properly(believe it or not I feed zoolets lovely stuff n tend ram jnna cheese and ketchup sarny once they in bed with crisps and sweets,having kept go thru day on handfuls sweets/choc......

Expecting a very early start tomorrow dd2 may be 13 but she gets ridiculously excited for her birthday(even tho this year knows almost exactly what getting- money,pig egg cups,a pig cuddly from lil zoo,body brush from ds, box stud earrings in dif colours(avon)and a nomination charm bracelet with 13 charm(she knows there is jewellery,but not what it is)its hard having secrets when I have all of them in tow most time. I didn't have money before broke up to get anything ....
Dep how mad it is here tom I try pop in,.we hoping go town to spend some her money with dp,then up to industrial park to matalan,hobby craft and round corner from there boots £shop and m+s(Percy pig fan)
Finally sainsbo.hoping its not hell on earth!!

Evening all. Not too bad here, I think I may have caught up with all the washing up in the kitchen (a week behind the zone!) especially if I run the dishwasher tonight!

foxes after yet another night without sleep I'm amazed you've done anything - take it easy! zoo nothing wrong with being excited about birthdays, hope it goes well tomorrow morning!

Big flop after work today, nothing done! DH put a load of washing in though so we're keeping the basket from filling up, perhaps some of my new habits are rubbing off on him

Was going to have a go at making a Simnel cake today but just crashed when I got home. Maybe tomorrow!

We've been trying to cut back on sugar too, just small changes like less biscuits and not giving DD yogurts with her lunches anymore, I quite shocked at how much sugar in them and she doesn't seem to miss them either so that's good. Trying to replace sugary snacks for savoury things but it's not always easy! Easter eggs don't count of course!

Right I need to crawl into bed, night night!

Dd2 is officially a teenager! She's been up since before 5.something about birthdays and Xmas turn her into a hyper toddler prone to manic behaviour(and meltdowns) daft little thing!

Well ds did not wake up at 330!

He woke at 1 then 4 then 6 instead

He doesn't seem to he under the weather now either, I hope this waking isn't going to be his new routine just in time for me going back to work

I find it hard to believe one day I'll have teenagers, I imagine life will be very different and stressful

I am not washed or dressed, but thinking about going out in about 40 mins. Let's see if this happens ...

HI everyone.
We have hot water again! I'm so pleased-not having it really makes you appreciate it. Luckily it appears it was a £60 fix although the boiler man said not to count our chickens yet. We haven't paid him yet and we're reviewing Tuesday in case what he's done is fix a symptom rather than the cause. I've also heard my car repairs have been authorised by the insurance company so hopefully I'll get that back next week. The courtesy car is fine but I miss mine which is a bit more zippy.

I'm painting the hall today as part of the Valspar trial. I did a bit of the detail yesterday when I got the paint and it's lovely to use. I'm unsure about the colour (it's more blue than I'd thought) but it's free and anything would be an improvement in what's there. Once it's painted I can put coat pegs up which will massively help the clutter around the kitchen.

Sympathies on the bad nights afresh, we went through an awful phase sleep wise from about 7 to 14 months. We basically coslept most of the time to get by!

Just started on dinner and managed to slice through the top of my thumb nail, blood everywhere, I screamed and dh ran in with dd following and him holding the baby, dd started shouting instructions "get the plasters daddy quick!!" I burst into tears . So that went well then. Anyway dh has taken over on dinner! Don't think they'll be any ironing done tonight now...

Just about to start bedtime then somehow have to get a mini home bleugh done and then pack to go to my parents for Easter. DH at work. Might be a long night!

My company Aldi is just normal hours apart from sun when we're shut xx
