Welcome to the April Flylady thread. We will be posting links every day to the Flylady method of maintaining your home and all posters, lurkers, newbies and returners are welcome - there will be a lot bit of general chat too. Post your ta-da successes and inspire others (or join some of us in the naughty corner on a less-than-stellar day, we all have them!) and bask in the support of the fledglings as we swing into Spring and ease towards Easter (avoiding the dreaded pointy stick of motivation)!

Hope littles one ok afresh

We had a lovely weekend away and even managed to sort the house a bit when we got back yesterday so not too bad this morning! Had lovely cuddles with tiny nephewSmile

To dos
Bit of exercise dvd
Daily routine
Bathroom / spare room mission
Dust furniture

That's the main stuff . I've caught the children's cold so we'll see how I get on!

Afreshstartplease · 10/04/2017 08:28

Both have colds. Dd extremely grumpy. Ds sounding v chesty and off his milk. Usual milk intake 30oz+ , yesterday only took 20oz.

PurpleDaisies · 10/04/2017 08:38

It's been a rotten weekend here-one if our lovely guinea pigs died. It wasn't at all unexpected since she'd had health problems but it was still very sad. Our boiler has also broken so this morning's task is to get hold of a plumber. I'm really hoping it's a minor fix rather than anything expensive.

To dos
Bury gp in the garden Sad
Sort out plumber
General tidy
30 min garden tidy up
Food shop
Do the flylady mission

TooStressyForMyOwnGood · 10/04/2017 09:20

Purple Flowers Brew. Trying to think of what I can write that doesn't sound rubbish so just... sorry to hear that and thinking of you and your other GPs.

Ta da:-
Laundry on and one load out already
DC eating breakfast
Bag out for charity collection... but will it get picked up?!

To do:-
Morning routine a
Bit of decluttering if poss
Holiday homework. Yawn.
Take DDs out somewhere later to burn off some energy.
Sort out present and card for birthday party tomorrow
Sort out a work thing... on my day off Angry.

TooStressyForMyOwnGood · 10/04/2017 09:21

Random 'a' there after morning routine Confused. I don't have various different lettered morning routines. Although that has given me an idea!

PurpleDaisies · 10/04/2017 10:23

Thanks toostressy. It's really sad but in a way it was the nicest way that it could have happened. She was badically fine until last night, then looked very wobbly (probably another stroke) and found a huge pile of straw to lie down on, just lay on her side and didn't wake up. Much better than us having to make a horrible decision or her suffering a long and drawn out affair. Dh is in the garden now and I think it will be better once that's done.

CotswoldStrife · 10/04/2017 10:26

Morning all. Hoping the weather holds out for a good drying day today, has already gone a bit dull but some bedding is already in the washing machine. Also up, washed, dressed and breakfasted by 9.00am which is good for me on the first day of a holiday Grin

Purple so sorry to hear about the GP. Hope you are all doing OK and that the boiler is a cheap fix. I'm passing coffee to freshstart, get a nap if you all can today and take zoo with you forget the housework and grab sleep while you can you two foxes how generous of you children to share the germs Hmm but it's hard to avoid tbh - when they are small they generally cover you in their snot, for years DD seemed to use our clothing rather than a tissue Sad Bah to sorting work out on your day off stressy Angry

TooStressyForMyOwnGood · 10/04/2017 14:08

Well done on up and ready before 9 Cotswold!

Ta da:-
Laundry - some on washing line and the nearly dry stuff brought in as ominous dark clouds.
Bit more tidying in DD1's room
At park with DDs

Cagliostro · 10/04/2017 14:44

Oh no, so sorry about piggy :( Thanks

Lots of laundry sorted today so will put the rest away later. DH says we are going to have a massive declutter tomorrow, his last day off before 7 days straight - yep even Easter Sunday! Good thing we aren't religious so we don't celebrate other than chocolate - Caglets and I will be staying at mum's for a few days anyway

Just had my booking in appt with midwife, all good, will be consultant led for various reasons and I will be getting growth scans as well because DC2 was so huge.

CotswoldStrife · 10/04/2017 14:50

Good to hear you've finally had the booking in appt Cag, any news on the scan yet?

OP posts:
Cagliostro · 10/04/2017 15:03

Thanks Cotswold it's on Saturday! We were going to stay at mum's over Easter itself but will have to come back early, my parents are going to come with me so mum can attend the scan (DH is working) she's super excited! I just hope everything is ok, I don't think I'll start relaxing until we've had the scan TBH and maybe then it will actually sink in Blush

foxessocks · 10/04/2017 16:56

My MN is being very slow so just a quick one from me. Sorry about GP purple.

Ta das
Dusted all furniture
Attempted the 27 fling thingy...Nothing to chuck out in bathroom and found two bits of rubbish in spare room. Also old Moses basket...Would a charity shop take this?! Not sure how I'd get it to one with a buggy...
Also found a signed movie poster I won in a competition but I don't want it (it came with some DVDs which I did want!)...No idea how I go about putting it on eBay or anything as I know nothing about movie posters or their value or anything! So not very successful really as I've left it all in the room Confused

ndo4000 · 10/04/2017 19:21

Glad you got a date for scan Cag. Hello all, hoping to collapse soon after a quick tidy up. Slightly in naughty corner as not done full before bed routine but it's not a super early start tomorrow so not too worried.

Ta da:-
Nice day with DDs today Smile
Bit more tidying of her room so less in the BRC in our room Smile

Sorted out summer holiday childcare Grin. Just need to write it all on the calendar now. It gets booked up so quickly round here that you need to do it quite far in advance for summer.

To do:-
Collapse even though not done everything. It's late enough Smile.

mermaidsandunicorns · 10/04/2017 22:53

Hello all
Just finished work so late one for me
Got my tenancy inspection tomorrow so will have a quick blitz in the morning but on top of it all pretty much

Lovely weather again x

CotswoldStrife · 10/04/2017 23:31

Saturday, Cag? We need an instant update, ignore your family but tell us Grin Only kidding, but if you get a chance then let us know how Cagletini Bear is doing.

Hope London wasn't too hot and steamy for you ndo, they'll have to get the posters out soon advising you to have water with you when you travel on the tube!

mermaids arrghh, tenancy inspections! We rented this house for a couple of years before we bought it and some previous tenants had been a nightmare. So we had three monthly inspections the place had never been so clean It did make me realise how superficially I vacuumed though, I used to take a lot more care instead of just running the vaccum around and get loads more dust up Blush

That sounds super-organised with the summer childcare stressy, DD has missed out on a couple of cooking clubs as we dawdled and then they got advertised elsewhere Hmm

Well done on the window cleaning zoo, especially on a hot day streaks galore for me

We have sorted through a bit of paper today, some has gone into the shredding pile and some into the recycling (good job it was emptied today so we can fill it up again!). DD has had a restful day after her sleepover the other night, will probably be back to normal tomorrow.

Links next!

Hi ladies, hope you're all good!
Been swept away in a super busy work week, we've been working evenings as well as days and may still need to this week but we'll see how we get on. We do it together though at least so it never seems so bad.

I managed to feed us, keep the kitchen and general house tidiness under control, swish and swipe, and do laundry more days than not, so I'm taking that as a win lol. I even weeded the front path whilst on hold on a phonecall Grin but alas no decluttering or missions got done.
