Welcome to the April Flylady thread. We will be posting links every day to the Flylady method of maintaining your home and all posters, lurkers, newbies and returners are welcome - there will be a lot bit of general chat too. Post your ta-da successes and inspire others (or join some of us in the naughty corner on a less-than-stellar day, we all have them!) and bask in the support of the fledglings as we swing into Spring and ease towards Easter (avoiding the dreaded pointy stick of motivation)!

purple we have self setting grape hyacinths taking over our lawn.every time think zoolets help dig up all the bits there's a fresh crop next year that even bigger(if only my attempts at sweet peas had gone so well last year)
On plus side they great weave into dd2 and lil zoo hair for easter service next week

Stilllivinginazoo · 09/04/2017 09:40

afresh if you do the kettle pile I may feel shamed into tackling mine(gulp)

BluePheasant · 09/04/2017 09:45

Me too Shock my Kettle Pile is a bit smaller than usual atm, but some of the items in it have been there for months weeks Blush

Gorgeous here too, going to do some more of the garden this morning. Got some tubers to pot up to grow on a bit before going in. If I plant them directly the slugs get them before they stand a chance Angry

Usually wash bedding on Mondays but going to get it done today as will dry in no time.

Definitely need some sun cream today, we are all a bit glowy from yesterday! Whoops! Blush

Wipe worktops
Hang out washer
Second wash on

Cagliostro · 09/04/2017 10:24

I feel a bit left out that I don't have a kettle pile! Only because there's no counter space for one to build up. We have a pretty-much-everywhere-else pile though. Blush

I slept really badly last night as I'm so stressed out. Got some (DH's) family issues as well Hmm although they are easier to ignore than the friend situation as they live far away. DH is taking the Caglets out for a bit to give me a rest, normally I would jump at the chance but I just feel a bit sad I am not up to going with them today. I need the distraction and I'll feel a bit lonely Blush but I'll have a busy few days at mum's in the week so should take the opportunity really. Might watch an anime film I haven't got round to seeing yet. Oh and I've found some pregnancy yoga/Pilates stuff on YouTube so I might have a little go.

Also focusing on laundry, it's normally my domain (as DH does 100% of the washing up) but DH has been doing some as while the nausea has been bad I've been more useless than usual and it has built up dramatically Blush. He's started lots off this morning and hopefully I can power through the rest.

Very hot here too! DDs have had a play in the garden (and got mud on my clean washing Angry) and worn multiple different summer outfits to add to the laundry.

We have friends coming over for a play date in an hour so they have asked to go on their tablets for a quick break and I am going to run round putting as much laundry away as possible.

Cagliostro · 09/04/2017 14:48

Oh the multiple outfit changes, I feel your pain. The Caglets had a lot of laundry to put away yesterday and DD asked why she had so much more than DS - errrm how about because you insist on changing every 10 jeffing minutes Hmm

Stilllivinginazoo · 09/04/2017 15:10

cag I had this row day before yest with dd2 about her washing pile greater. A good example if thus us today-sgss worn "church clothes" cotton trousers and s t shirt.now in vest top and shorts.ds church clothes then just t n trousers had on yest.now we home he's in pants and vest(wanted put onesie on ffs!Shock)
I have just massacre the chunk tree that fell down in storm doris-its mass ivy vines and tree tog.chop up next door loppers and overfill pop in brown bin fir collection tomorrow. I gave trunk too thick but meh.lob against hedge "for wildlife purposes"Grindd2 grumbling as I've bin play garden to prevent increase in burning so we are go do some pampering stuff together. The aim is manicure, pedicure, deep condition of hair and face maskSmile

TooStressyForMyOwnGood · 09/04/2017 17:42

Very cute Cotswold Smile

BluePheasant · 09/04/2017 21:56

Aw DD would love that pasta!

Hope you get a better nights sleep tonight Cag Flowers

I have been non stop today! Yet my to do list isn't getting any smaller, keep adding things! Hmm DD seemed to really enjoy just playing in the garden today, we've had quite a few days out this week and sometimes a day at home can be just as nice Smile

Ta das

Daily routines (sort of!)
Cleaned up leaves and weeds in front garden.
Tidied up side path.
Lots more garden based faffing.
DH repaired hole in decking
Darks wash
bedding washed
Hoovered whole house
Made the beds
Meal plan and food shop

Just catching up on last Call the Midwife (am way behind!) and then bed for me, early start at work tomorrow. Night all!

CotswoldStrife · 09/04/2017 22:52

Evening all. Pasta was OK, brightly coloured and cute perhaps a tad rubbery but that could have been the cook

DD is shattered after not sleeping last night, snuffling with a cold and then a tooth fell out Hmm It feels like my to-do list of small, pathetic items is a mile long, and it's half-term so the chances of accomplishment are reduced Grin Still, there is always tomorrow and wine tonight

See you on Monday!
