Are you are any of the following? Can you be described as a clutterbug? Are you a hoarder, in a mess, untidy, disorganised, lazy with housework that has lead to something that you now feel unable to deal with. If you are ill and not coping with the housework. If you are emotionally attached to items for whatever reason. If you cannot just ask someone in for a cuppa at a moments notice or dread the meter reader asking for access.

Are you nodding whilst reading any of these words? If you have a combination of any or all of these things or something completely different, please join us. No one here will judge you. We have something in common and we have a common goal. We share our ideas and we share our disappointments no matter how big and our celebrations no matter how small. We cheer one another along and drag the drowners from the depths of despair.

Join us; we don't bite :) Welcome to thread number 3.

I did Babies and forgot to mention that I also loaded and ran the dishwasher and coloured my hair and had a telephone conversation as well as a shower and hair dry before leaving for work (started at 1pm). Took Dd to her swim training at 6pm and went shopping to buy something for tea, cooked pork fillet en croute and fresh veg etc, emptied dishwasher and put away, sat down for dinner and to watch Holby.

Today however I feel much as you do.

I am tired just reading about your day, lol

I cleaned kitchen, tidyed living room, loaded and hung two loads of laundry.

Stripped and remade 1 king size, 1 double and 3 single beds.

Had a brew with a friend and made zillion phone calls.

Solo · 01/05/2017 00:00

Bit done today...loads more to do!

Busy day! I have been through loads in the kitchen. Can actually see some counter! Cleared the dumping ground that is the radiator cabinet in the hallway. And I did 2 more wash loads, a dishwasher load AND hand washing up...Cleaned the shower curtain (vinegar). Also made a salad for lunch, cooked Sunday dinner and made Dd's packed lunch for school.

Wow well done! I am beyond disorganised ATM. Only just started having pupils round again - combination of Easter hols and being ill meant I had none for like a month - and just can't get motivated to do anything about the mess TBH.

Solo · 02/05/2017 08:38

Thanks Cag :) You'd think it should all look great now wouldn't you? But it is bedlam :(

How is everyone doing. Things have gotton worse here as mess is everywhere. Trying to clear living room for new sofa. And we've all been ill again. Since DD started nursery we are constantly ill

Solo · 10/05/2017 11:06

Hi Attic not good here either...mess, mess, mess...I've changed my washing machine delivery so many times I've forgotten how many, but now it's coming on 25th and it must happen somehow!

I was ill over Easter combined with school holidays meant my house was drowning terribly but after worrying about it a lot managed to get moving today.

My back is killing me but downstairs is fine ! Camping stuff in the shed. Laundry partially done.

Tomorrow if I can move I am going to find upstairs and continue laundry.

Next week I will continue to declutter if U have the energy. :)

Babieseverywhere · 10/05/2017 18:04

I not U

Solo · 10/05/2017 23:33

God! I feel such a failure! GRRRRRRRRRR!!

Cagliostro · 11/05/2017 09:17

Aw solo know the feeling Thanks

We aren't though, we are trying. The fact it is taking so long just shows what a battle we are fighting.

Nothing going on here as on holiday with the Caglets (DH is home as no time off work) but it's shocking how easy it is to look after a little apartment with no clutter!

FlyingJellyfishintheAttic · 11/05/2017 11:28

Cleared space to get rid of old sofa.and get in new much more practical one.

Told dh have we have to be really ruthless. It's gotton so bad we can't see, use or enjoy any of the stuff even the few bits we probably like.

We decided the attic can wait another six months so are instead going to have a big tidy and sort out the downstairs area as dd now crawling. She needs the space downstairs and dss is fine in his current room and she is fine in ours for now.

Solo · 11/05/2017 23:14

Thanks Cag I hope you are enjoying your holiday (Envy).

Attic that sounds like a good plan.

I'm just sick of not having got past the planning stage. All the stuff I bought for Ds's room will now have to be sold as I didn't sort his room out before he left home :( . At this rate it will be the same with Dd.

Oh and I have a urine infection which I've probably had for 2 months. No wonder I was feeling so ill.

OP posts:
Babieseverywhere · 14/05/2017 09:24

Solo Hope you are feeling better...those type of infections can hit you so hard. Be kind to yourself.

I spent yesterday in the garden dealing with the plants in pots. We only have paving and pots..no flower beds in our garden. Had my mother tell me which were weeds and which were real plants, so I could keep the right ones !

I emptied, cleaned and refilled some pots and weeded, cleaned and topped up with compost other pots.

The patio looked better when I finished but this morning my legs and back ache, so I will be doing non-gardening stuff today, lol :)

Enjoy your weekend folks :)

Cagliostro · 14/05/2017 11:49

Oh Solo UTIs are miserable :(

If it's any consolation the holiday was a bit shit. Not the holiday itself but other kids being nasty.

Nothing getting done at the moment but DH did clear the attic on his days off while we were away. An empty attic!!!

Solo · 14/05/2017 12:22

Thanks Babies and Cag Thanks. Cag what do you mean other kids being nasty? What happened? Good about the empty attic!

Cagliostro · 14/05/2017 12:36

The friends we were with, I should have predicted it would go wrong really but basically there was a lot of teasing, manipulating and then lying to her parents to get DD in trouble. She has form for it. DD is in an awful state now.

FlyingJellyfishintheAttic · 14/05/2017 12:37

It's feeling very overwhelming at the moment. Did 3 bags this weekend (carrier) but DH is hanging on to junk just because. I feel bad if I nag him too much but he never uses the stuff. It' empty containers and 50 of everything eg scissors.

Solo · 14/05/2017 12:49

Cag you have my sympathy :(

Attic I don't usually encourage this, but could yhou 'thin' them out over time?

OP posts:
FlyingJellyfishintheAttic · 20/05/2017 10:21

I have finally created DD a proper play area in living room and have fuve bin bags of tjings for charity. Half of that is mine and DH bedroom alone.

DH is so impressed and hsppy with space it has motivated him to help blitz through now so he is now getting rid of more thIngs.

Dining room to be done this weekend after work.

Cagliostro · 20/05/2017 11:01

Well done!

I have done nothing still. Had a horrible chesty cough and I'm still feeling awful TBH, combined with pregnancy nausea (which should really end soon as I'm 15 weeks) I'm just a wreck! I have no idea when or how we are going to carry on sorting stuff out!

FlyingJellyfishintheAttic · 20/05/2017 12:48

Solo I sm as he has left them in boxes for 2+ years so ibviouspy not ibviouspying them. He seems on-board now though.

Hope you feel better soon cag pregnancy plus illness is horrible.

Solo · 22/05/2017 23:45

Nothing done here at my own house but have been helping to move my brother and SIL to their 3rd place in 6/7 months! I'm exhausted! Had some crap news today :( I am being 'let go' from my job as there is not enough money being earned into the business atm. I am disappointed as I enjoy the job on the whole and it suits me with the hours/job share and help from my friend re Dd. I'm very worried now about what I can do in terms of work bearing in mind that my brain does not work properly anymore.
Sorry for moaning. I hope all is well and I will catch up soon.
