Hello all and welcome to the March Flylady thread! Welcome to all current posters and also to any returners plus of course anyone who would like to join. The more the merrier. Jump in where you are.

We are a friendly group who (sort of) follow the Flylady system in hopes of a more organised home and life. Some of us manage that better than others :).

Since last month seemed to be ok I'll follow the same format of personals throughout the day (or in the evening if I haven't had a chance in the day) and links in the evening. Please, though, let me know if you want me to change anything or if I have posted anything wrong.

It's my first time running this thread so here we go with links... Please if anything is wrong feel free to correct me. Hopefully it will all go swimmingly this month but I apologise in advance for anything not slick! I'm starting a day early as have work tomorrow and I am slow at this but will try to stay on the old thread until tomorrow. Thanks again SC and Cotswold as I have basically copied your notes again.

Flylady advises decluttering for 15 mins a day. I tend to manage 5 but I know lots of people have great results with 15.

For a summary of what's going on, go to www.flylady.net/c/lp.php or just follow this thread

Newbies, welcome, have a look around the Flylady website www.flylady.net - it can sometimes be a bit disorganised. Unless you want to, beware of signing up for her emails - there are hundreds and all the info is on the website anyway. Here is the getting started link www.flylady.net/d/getting-started/

You can post what we you done (ta das) and any to do lists if you want to- I definitely find this helpful.

She doesn't usually cag no SN.but I do notice she struggles with friendships.isn't aware people making fun of her.not great with empathy.relates better to the autistic people we know, playing alongside them and seem be more aware their needs than others.loves animals, but wary lively cats.hates dogs. Likes control. Of everything (ds n lil zoo won't play with her much as its her way or not at all.sigh)thibknita not be able control how rubbish she feels that makes her so unsettled/demandingSad

Cagliostro · 25/03/2017 22:48

Ah that sounds likely yes, the unpredictability of the symptoms and the fact you can't do anything about them, that you can't breathe/swallow like normal so it's different! I mean nobody likes that obviously but I do think some kids are more sensitive to the changes than others. My DS isn't remotely fussed by such things. In fact DD was recently reminding me of the time when she woke up to hear him coughing and spluttering and she asked if he was ok, and he said quite casually "yeah, just being sick" and that was it! Whereas DD would've been screaming, crying... so bizarre.

danigrace · 25/03/2017 22:48

Just popping in quick before I nod off.

Congrats Cag!! I'm also self-employed, filled in my maternity allowance forms yesterday.

Today went well. The car is nuce and clean inside & out and the tea loaf was a success. Cooking for my parents and sister tomorrow.

Castlelough · 25/03/2017 23:00

mermaidsandunicorns · 26/03/2017 07:26

Morning all
No rest for me today got all the family coming up (it seemed a good idea to invite them all 2 months ago) so il be cooking for most of today

Afreshstartplease · 26/03/2017 08:25

Morning all

Cag! Congrats! How many caglets will this mean you have?

Part of me would love another DC but dp says no. I am also fully aware I am knackered already so would probably die.... I did recently think I might have been TBH and rapidly shat myself!

Thanks for info RE dishwashers. Agree an integrated probably harder to get at if needs repairs. Hmmmm. I really don't want one just there in my kitchen being all ugly and that! Also don't think would fit in the utility room. I might not bother

TooStressyForMyOwnGood · 26/03/2017 08:52

Morning all. mermaids, well at least it seemed like a good idea at the time! Hope you get 5 mins with a cup of tea at some point.

DH has gone out on a run so up as normal with DC for me but am hoping he will be back in time that I can leave DD2 with him while I take DD1 out to her activity. I usually go for a run while she does this but since it's Mother's Day I am planning to sit in the cafe with a cup of coffee on my own Smile. Will take warm clothes though as not always enough seats so may need to get takeaway. Got lovely cards from DDs which they were very excited to give me (actually DD2 has already given me hers bless her). We are going to the cinema later on after an early tea.

Must get on now as need to wash wet sheets as DD2 wet bed last night. I despise toilet training.

Ta da:-
Washing on line
Washing machine just about to finish dance clothes
DD2 and I have had breakfast
DD1 is I hope getting dressed upstairs

To do:-
Dance clothes on washing line
Check DD1 getting ready
DD1 hair
Prise DD2 into some clothes
Figure out what we will eat today as haven't really planned anything!
Must remember to phone my mum!
Pack up school letters etc to take with me to DD1's class.

Thanks all! Happy Mother's Day everyone 💐 DH is working today so we did the nice dinner etc yesterday.

Afresh this will be our third Caglet! By the time they appear DD will be 10 and DS will be 8. :)

Afreshstartplease · 26/03/2017 09:13

My eldest was 8 nearly 9 when DC4 was born and is great with him! I feel it's a good gap!

Cagliostro · 26/03/2017 09:25

Aw that's cool! I think it will work well with her - my DSDs were 9 when DD was born actually and it was great, they loved helping choose clothes and pushing the buggy etc and in fact her name was one they had suggested 💕 DSS was 14 and was totally besotted too!

DS I'm nervous about as he doesn't like babies. DD will be ecstatic though, she loves babies and is very much the mothering type, and has been asking for a baby sibling for ages. It will be really hard not to tell them yet but we don't want to until we've had a scan.

I don't think I'll be doing any flying today! So, wing flops to all!

Stilllivinginazoo · 26/03/2017 09:33

Happy Mother's Day to you all! Flowers

So far I have made my own coffee, washed up, made breakfast for DDs.....

DH redeemed himself after a prod and produced croissants in bed and the girls gave me mags they have painted. So not so bad!

Still have to make roast lunch and then go to work this afternoon! Confused

To do:-
Pick up DD1
Go home
Figure out meals for today
Amuse DDs while waiting for cinema - could only get tickets for evening showing so hope it goes ok!
