Hello all and welcome to the March Flylady thread! Welcome to all current posters and also to any returners plus of course anyone who would like to join. The more the merrier. Jump in where you are.

We are a friendly group who (sort of) follow the Flylady system in hopes of a more organised home and life. Some of us manage that better than others :).

Since last month seemed to be ok I'll follow the same format of personals throughout the day (or in the evening if I haven't had a chance in the day) and links in the evening. Please, though, let me know if you want me to change anything or if I have posted anything wrong.

It's my first time running this thread so here we go with links... Please if anything is wrong feel free to correct me. Hopefully it will all go swimmingly this month but I apologise in advance for anything not slick! I'm starting a day early as have work tomorrow and I am slow at this but will try to stay on the old thread until tomorrow. Thanks again SC and Cotswold as I have basically copied your notes again.

Flylady advises decluttering for 15 mins a day. I tend to manage 5 but I know lots of people have great results with 15.

For a summary of what's going on, go to www.flylady.net/c/lp.php or just follow this thread

Newbies, welcome, have a look around the Flylady website www.flylady.net - it can sometimes be a bit disorganised. Unless you want to, beware of signing up for her emails - there are hundreds and all the info is on the website anyway. Here is the getting started link www.flylady.net/d/getting-started/

You can post what we you done (ta das) and any to do lists if you want to- I definitely find this helpful.

I managed some more decluttering - some dressing up stuff sorted to chuck/pass on, and a few random things chucked away too.

Oh bless you zoo BrewCakeFlowers

ememem84 · 13/03/2017 10:28

Oh zoo Flowers it's the worst when pets go. I don't care what anyone says. It's never "just" a cat. It's part of the family. We were devastated when dms last cat had to be Pts a couple of years ago. I don't know what I'd do without catface either. She is naughty. And noisy. And gets fur everywhere and has only been here 6 months. But I luffs her so so much.

Ta das:

Washing on
Changed towels in bathrooms
Put clean washing away
Sorted a bag for charity shop.
Booked car in for a service

BluePheasant · 13/03/2017 16:11

Hello all, still feeling tired, long shift on sat and woken up bright and early on Sunday (thank you DD). Work again this morning (really not loving doing extra hours but hopefully my bank account will appreciate it!).

So sorry about your cat zoo awful when it's a shock like that, he was only young Flowers Pets are family, I was so upset when we lost our last dog, she lived with my dad and DD adored her but thankfully too young at the time to be affected. That dog got us through some hard times when DM died, she was v special. They leave a huge hole behind.

Reluctantly trying to be productive this afternoon.

OP posts:
BluePheasant · 13/03/2017 21:42

Your poor DD zoo, must break your heart Sad

Ta das

Made sausage casserole, tried hairy bikers recipe, was a success but we've decided we need to find different sausages as the ones we get seem to have been really quite horrible the last few times, bit disappointing!
Ironing done and put away
Evening and before bed routines
Bathroom mission
Tidied DDs room
2 min declutter (really need to get better at this!)
Washing machine loaded for morning
Made bed (well DH did as I hate doing it!)

Am so fed up of the chest of drawers in DDs room, is all but falling to bits now and the drawer runners are nearly all broken. Keep saying we'll try and fix it but never get round to it, wishful thinking! Really don't want to be spending on new furniture as we're meant to be saving but it's driving me mad fighting with it every day!

TooStressyForMyOwnGood · 13/03/2017 22:30

foxes, hope you had a nice weekend away. It sounds as if you have already done some decluttering today so I wouldn't feel too bad about not doing the mission.

BluePheasant, ah yes the stuff that is going to be fixed one day! I'm sure many of us can sympathise with that situation Grin.

mermaids, hope your DS is feeling better. You can get chickenpox more than once although it would be unlucky.

Wing flaps to all.

Here is the daily summary for Tuesday...

All information also available on the Flylady website www.flylady.net. The

flight plan
should update every day.

We are in Zone 3 this week: the bathroom and one other room

Spend 15 mins (or as much as you can manage if you can't do 15) decluttering in Zone 3.

When you have finished decluttering, the detailed cleaning list (if you are at that stage) for Zone 3 is here

Mission:
Dear Friends,
We are back in the bathroom and your mission for today is to clean our your bathroom trash can. Use the tub to fill the can with hot water and add some general purpose cleaner or dish soap. Let it soak and then scrub the bottom, the sides and the outside. Turn it over and let it dry in the tub and then put it back before someone needs to bathe and ends up taking a shower with the trash can! This is so simple and makes a difference.
Your mission for the Stash and Dash space is to spend 5 minutes gathering up anything that you can donate or give away that you no longer love, use or need.

The daily focus for Tuesday is: planning

Daily reminders (radio show times are probably not accurate for UK but can listen to previous shows/podcasts)

Baby-step no 14 - read the essay about using a calendar

March habit is getting dressed to shoes www.flylady.net/d/habits-of-the-month/march/

Flykids mission: www.flylady.net/c/flykids.php?tzm=0

Happy flying.
