Hello all and welcome to the March Flylady thread! Welcome to all current posters and also to any returners plus of course anyone who would like to join. The more the merrier. Jump in where you are.

We are a friendly group who (sort of) follow the Flylady system in hopes of a more organised home and life. Some of us manage that better than others :).

Since last month seemed to be ok I'll follow the same format of personals throughout the day (or in the evening if I haven't had a chance in the day) and links in the evening. Please, though, let me know if you want me to change anything or if I have posted anything wrong.

It's my first time running this thread so here we go with links... Please if anything is wrong feel free to correct me. Hopefully it will all go swimmingly this month but I apologise in advance for anything not slick! I'm starting a day early as have work tomorrow and I am slow at this but will try to stay on the old thread until tomorrow. Thanks again SC and Cotswold as I have basically copied your notes again.

Flylady advises decluttering for 15 mins a day. I tend to manage 5 but I know lots of people have great results with 15.

For a summary of what's going on, go to www.flylady.net/c/lp.php or just follow this thread

Newbies, welcome, have a look around the Flylady website www.flylady.net - it can sometimes be a bit disorganised. Unless you want to, beware of signing up for her emails - there are hundreds and all the info is on the website anyway. Here is the getting started link www.flylady.net/d/getting-started/

You can post what we you done (ta das) and any to do lists if you want to- I definitely find this helpful.

Managed to make dinner for 5 people and get two loads of washing done. My laundry basket is now empty. Yay!

No laundry today. Just a quick Hoover and I may tackle the spare room wardrobe. See what I can get rid of in there.

Afresh --------->

Hello abbsissparticus Smile.

em I am even more jealous of you now if you have an empty laundry basket!

zoo, glad scan ok, hope you get some answers soon. They wouldn't have chosen you for the solo if they didn't think it would be good Flowers.

Morning folks. Not entirely sure I should be awake, I got all confused because my Facebook is full of memes about clocks changing! But not in England (I googled!). It got me all confused. Not a good night's sleep as DD ended up in with me after sobbing her heart out :( someone is being nasty at one of her clubs and due to her bullying experiences at school this kind of thing has a huge effect on her. Coupled with the fact she doesn't sodding sleep anyway (got a sleep clinic workshop this week actually...) it's making for very fraught evenings and I don't actually know what the hell I'm doing as a mum TBH.

Still good luck - there's no way they'd have chosen you if they thought you'd be bad, I bet you'll be awesome!

Hello to everyone else!

I have little plan for the day, out of fabric conditioner so that's a valid excuse to not put another wash on yes?! I'll just get the rest put away instead.

Might have to do some project work with the Caglets though. Geography club next week and also they've been fascinated by eyes lately so we might build the model my mum got them. :)

Afreshstartplease · 12/03/2017 10:08

Ta Da

Dryer on
Steriliser on
Sink filled
Dryer reloaded
Washer reloaded
Bins empty

Gonna try and list often to motivate myself today!

TooStressyForMyOwnGood · 12/03/2017 13:54

Cag Flowers. One of the mums at school is someone I have always admired - really seems to have her shit together. I was amazed one day when she said she feels she just bumbles through life and is never really sure what she is doing. I'm not sure anyone really knows what they are doing as a parent / in life in general Flowers. Can you speak to whoever runs the club?

Hope you are having a better day Afresh.

Ta da:-
Shoes bought for DD1
Went for run
Diswashwer on
DH and DDs are cleaning my car GrinGrin

To do:-
Laundry
Calendar check
Look at very confusing form for other new job - this freelancing lark is so time consuming but am greatful to have options.

OP posts:
Cagliostro · 12/03/2017 14:59

Thank you stressy you're right there, I don't suppose any of us really know do we?
I have spoken to the club leader and they are doing their best to deal with it. They know he's 'a handful' and have tried speaking to the mum etc. Unfortunately it has now stepped up a bit as this boy swore at her, but whispered so nobody could hear or prove it. DD didn't tell me until afterwards but I will be mentioning it next week.

I haven't done anything creative with the Caglets as I'd planned to, TBH I spent much of the morning crying on DH 😳 As I'm really at my wits end with DD not sleeping. But we've agreed a new approach to try so I'm feeling a little more positive.

I'm now listing some books to sell on FB - managed to go through some of my books (the ones I could get to) and got the Caglets to choose some to get rid of as well. Got 33 to attempt to sell and carrier bag for the chazzer too. So that's something. :) I am also feeling inspired to sort through some board games to sell (I have some I've been meaning to sell anyway, but there's a few more I've earmarked in my head to get rid of) and to have another sort through the plethora of dressing up stuff for outgrown/tatty items - but those must be done without the eagle eyed Caglets around!

PurpleDaisies · 12/03/2017 17:16

Hi everyone.

I've had a busy day today with friends over for lunch but it's meant the house is lovely and tidy. I've also been putting pictures up so it looks a lot more like home. I'm starting work tomorrow so I'm going to have to be more organised (with dh) to not let the house go to the dogs. The good news is the guinea pig is on the mend so that's one less thing to worry about. We've had a bad run with them recently.

Ta da's...
Church
Baked cookies
Cleaned kitchen
Dishwasher on
Put three pictures up
Swept kitchen and living room floors
General tidy
Cleaned out guinea pigs
Made lunch for Mon and Tues at work

To do...
Load of washing
Choose outfit for work tomorrow and pluck eyebrows for ID badge photo
Last minute read through of work related stuff
Early night!

abbsissparticus, I assume you are new to the thread. Apologies if you are a returning person, I have only been a member since September. If you are a new member then welcome! You have joined at a very sad time with zoo's news but you are more than welcome. Big welcome also to emenem. This is a really friendly thread. Have a read through the thread and a look through the Flylady website if Flylady is also new to you.

I'll post links in a bit. In terms of personals, a big hello to everyone but lots of Flowers for you zoo. Such a sad time for you all xxx

zoo oh lovely boy. I'm so sorry for your loss x

TooStressyForMyOwnGood · 12/03/2017 21:30

Sorry ememem, it might be more welcoming if I spelt your name right Blush.

Here is the daily summary for Monday...

All information also available on the Flylady website www.flylady.net. The

flight plan
should update every day.

We are in Zone 3 this week: the bathroom and one other room

Spend 15 mins (or as much as you can manage if you can't do 15) decluttering in Zone 3.

When you have finished decluttering, the detailed cleaning list (if you are at that stage) for Zone 3 is here

Mission
Dear Friends,

This week we are in Zone 3. This is the main bathroom and another room of your choice. Our "other" room is going to be taking 5 minutes at those stash and dash spots in your home. Maybe it is the basement, a corner in your bedroom, the guest room or garage. Just 5 minutes each day to put a dent in the stash and dash piles we have built.
Your mission for today in the bathroom is to wipe down around the base and the back of the toilet. This is an area that we all seem to forget about until we notice it on day and it seems too far gone to do anything about it! Grab a rag and some general purpose cleaner and wipe down the toilet from the bowl downward, the floor around the base and behind base. This is a quick and easy mission to do!

Your mission for the Stash and Dash space is to take a trash bag and just toss anything you can see that needs to be thrown away or recycled.

The daily focus for Monday is: weekly home blessing hour Ugh. Do this in whichever way is less painful for you! Doesn't have to be on a Monday (DH does it here at the end of the week).

Daily reminders (radio show times are probably not accurate for UK but can listen to previous shows/podcasts)

Baby-step no 13 - pick a mission and do it

March habit is getting dressed to shoes www.flylady.net/d/habits-of-the-month/march/

Flykids mission: www.flylady.net/c/flykids.php?tzm=0

Happy flying.
