My house/Zoflora

Posting here for traffic.
My house is a bit horrid. I have pets and a messy DH (who does get on board when I have a proper 'spruce' but doesn't notice the daily grime). I can keep on top of genuine rubbish but clutter builds easily. I know nobody can sort this out for me and I am working on it.
What bothers me most is smell. Although it's clean ish, it doesn't smell fresh. I do open windows for a bit every day.
I bought some miracle potion Zoflora yesterday and already mop the floors with it. I want to know what I can do with it as almost like a reed diffuser/air freshener?
I don't put the heating on much (have a log burner) so don't think putting it on radiators would work. I do hoover relatively regularly so can try the cotton wool trick. Anything else I could try? Is it really safe to spray on curtains? Any other tips for a pet household for smell? Thanks in advance!

I really like certain scents of Zoflora but others are just highly over powering.

I have found a fabric softener that I like the smell of so I dilute it in a spray bottle and spray it on soft furnishings, carpets, skirting boards etc. I also find liberally wiping windowsills that get a lot of sun with either Zoflora/fabric softener leaves a lovely smell in the room.

I'm cleaning tomorrow (little part time job) and I can't wait to get stuck in with my new favourite spray bottle!
Lots of pet smells at the house I clean so hopefully owners like Zoflora and it works well there too.
Vac filter still drying- takes an age!
Anyone tried it in a bowl in a room? Diluted I imagine. The windowsill idea is fab but wondered if this might be longer lasting and have read about people doing it with vinegar..

Oooh I love the stuff! I'm just finishing a bottle of bluebell but my favourite is country garden! I also just leave a bowl with hot water and let the steam diffuse in the kitchen!

This might be completely bonkers (I'm yet to even lay eyes on the stuff) but could one run a zfora'd cloth on the underside of the kitchen cabinets near the kettle? So every cuppa = steam = lovely smell? Is that how it works?

Oohhhh good idea with the kettle

I'm using spring time in the bathroom at the moment now, love it

YY to making a dilution up in the sink and letting it do its magic

Try it on the window sills, if they get sunlight it will dry fairly quickly aswell so you don't need to worry about animals jumping up at it

What scent do I want?

I hated lavender.

I want fresh, not overly floral so I think the gardeny ones are out.

Linen?

I like putting a capful in the toilet tank - you get a zoflora rush every time you flush Grin

Jealous of these lovely flavours on this thread - I tend to pick it up in the pound shop so limited selection. I really like country gardens, and rose is a recent new favourite. Might treat myself to a trip to the big tesco later to peruse the selection there Smile

Oh god I love this stuff. Am off work at the moment and planning a blitz on the house today. Not domesticated at all (house is a tip) but do love a ZoFloFest. Have a big bottle of Linen under the sink - going to go mad with it.

What has my life become?? Grin

Oh my goodness, Zoflora! My Mum was obsessed with this, she was a clean freak. She'd even clean down the side passage of our house (slabs) with a bucket of it. I feel a desperate need to get some now! Smile

I am ridiculously excited. I new this stuff existed but I had no idea what it was for or how many flavours there were! I was planning on having a very lazy day off today but now planning on getting the kids up and heading out to buy as many flavours as I can find. Where will I find the best selection? I've got a Home Bargains, Tesco, Asda and Poundland nearby?

kimlo · 21/10/2016 08:28

I find tescos has the most to choose from, poundlabd only has a few.

Tesco it is then! Thanks kimlo. My house is going to be so clean and smelling great by dinner time!! Thanks OP for this - keep the tips coming everyone.

I feel like I belong here. I can't work Zoflora into as many real life conversations as I would like. Look what I bought this week. £5.75 in Makro Grin I considered emptying the trolley to make space for more. I didn't know rose even existed and your other fancy scents are blowing my mind!!! Might dab a bit behind my ears...
